28 Twenty-Six

Bella Pov  

The day has been absolutely amazing, Sarah and Jay are now happily married and looking at each other like love-sick teenagers, dancing with Chris wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, thankfully Bri dragged me away though because it was too comfortable being with him  

"What you thinking about, gorgeous?" shit, I just spat my drink out  

"You fucking dick" I laugh as the bar man hands me some napkins as I start to clean up the spilled champagne  

"I'm sorry" Chris tries to hide his laugh but is not successful  

"Bella, can I have a word with you?" Bri asks and I nod standing up following her out of the ballroom  

"What's up?" I ask  

"Um- okay, I said I would let you know so don't have a go please-" I gesture for her to go on "Tyler has gone home, Rome has just told me and we have just given Sarah and Jay the gift he bought for them" I am starting to wonder why people keep telling me about him  

"Okay, well thanks for letting me know, but it is none of my business, Bri. He cheated on me and arrived here constantly wanting to talk to me, I have told him I am not talking to him about it here so what he gets on the first flight home? It is a joke. You know what I have been through and how much it took for me to even agree to be with him, hell I let him into my life. So please just tell Rome that I don't want to know, if I want to talk to Ty then I will, and if I don't then I won't"  

"I know, I just wanted to tell you, look I am not telling you to get back with him or even talk to him and everyone here has seen the chemistry between you and Chris, how is that going?" she asks with a wiggle of her eyebrows making me laugh  

"It's fine, I mean we have history and it's just easy with him, ya know?"  

"I can see that, you are comfortable with each other, I didn't know the extent of your history until Sarah told me"   

"Hey, there is my favourite sister, what you doing?" Jay laughs propping himself against the wall  

"I'm your only sister, dickhead" we all laugh "Why did you grill Chris about me last night?" I accuse and watch as his smirk grows   

"Just wanted to know" he shrugs and laughs   

"Just like your wife grilled me about him" I glare and he laughs even more, poor Bri looks like she is going to burst from holding her laughter in  

"For crying out loud, let's go" I laugh walking back into the ballroom I see Claire coming towards us with Ava, I bend down picking her up and holding her close  

"I am going to take her back to my room as it is getting late, but we will meet you at breakfast"   

"Thank you, Claire. Goodnight baby girl, I love you" I give her a kiss placing her back in her pram   

"You should know, a certain hot young gentleman is looking for you" she whispers and walks off laughing, damn these people are annoying.  

I am just walking back to the bar when I see auntie Marie approaching, oh here we go  

"Isabella, hi beautiful. It has been a wonderful day"  

"Yes, it has been, we will have to visit you once we get back to normal" I suggest hoping she is going to be satisfied with my answer  

"That sounds fantastic, I can't wait to see you all properly and hold my beautiful great-niece-"  

"Sorry to interrupt, Marie, but I need to see Bella really quick" I whip my head around to see Chris standing behind me  

"No problem, Chris. I'm glad you two are back together, we were all heartbroken"  

"We are not-" I start to speak  

"Thanks, Marie, see you soon" Chris grabs my hand dragging me out of the ballroom and through the hall before stopping when we get outside  

"What the hell is going on?"  

"I just saved you from an hour-long speech from your auntie" Chris laughs  

"You do realise it is going to be a million times worse for me now that you didn't deny that we were together, right?"  

"Well at least she isn't hogging you to herself now" He smirks, Uh I give up  

"Ugh, fine. I'll let you off this time, but we can't stand here all night" He looks around and nods taking my hand again and we start walking round the resort onto the beach but I stop and he raises a brow when I start taking my shoes off  

"Hey you try walking about in these fucking things all day" I laugh when he shakes his head with a smile playing on his lips, as I hold onto his arm while I step out of my other shoe, I hear him take a deep breath, and before I know what is happening, I am over his shoulder pounding my fists on his back  

"Chris, put me fucking down, now!" but apparently my pleas are ignored when he slaps my ass and runs towards the water "I swear Chris, don't you fucking dare!!"  

Chris's Pov  

I was trying not to laugh at Bella's attempts for me to put her down, not a chance, this is going to be fun, I take a few more long strides into the water the water now circling my waist  

"If you drop me in this water, I'm going to fucking kill you!" whoops too late, I drop her in the water "You mother fucker-" sheesh she is angry, only one way to get out of this, I scoop her up her chest is flush against mine, this was bad idea she wraps her legs around my waist, this is torture  

"You are carrying me back to my room!" she tries to scold me but she is too cute, I take long strides out of the water, over the sand and onto her decking and I shove the door open with my foot trying my best to keep her in this position for as long as possible, I walk through into the bathroom before placing her on her feet, I walk over turning the shower on and turning to the large counter I get a couple of towels out for her  

"While you have a shower I'll go back to mine and have a shower, okay?"   

"I've got some clothes here that you can use" she suddenly looks embarrassed as she makes her way into the bedroom, I follow her and watch her take out a pair of joggers that look like they would drown her and a large t-shirt but I recognise it and whip my head to hers "Couldn't get rid of it" she shrugs 

"Aww look at you being all sentimental" I smirk receiving one of her glares that makes me laugh "and what about those?" I nod at the grey joggers she has put on the bed 

"I'm still the same as I used to be, I like wearing large joggers and shirts" she smirks "You can shower first, then I'll shower while you change"  

"Or we could save some water-" I'm hit in the face with the clothes before I can finish and I hold my hands up in mock surrender "Hey was worth a shot" I smirk as I walk back into the bathroom.
