24 Banshee

After taking Perry to see the school doctor, it didn't take them that long to return after he was scolded by the doctor and when they got to their class, a lecture was already on the way, and seeing the two walking in, the teacher only gave them a cold look before he continued with his lecture but it didn't take long before he was distracted by a teacher who was being followed by a female student.

"What are you doing here Miss Bridget" asked the teacher.

"I'm sorry for disturbing your class, I was instructed to lead this fresh to this class"  reply Miss Bridget as she instructed the student to step forward.

"just introduce yourself and go take your seat" said the teacher.

She went forward to face the others boldly before speaking up.

"good morning everyone my name is Lydia Davis but you can call me Lydia" said Lydia before walking down to seat on a spare sit.

"she's quite the beauty" commented Perry while looking her way and it doesn't seem like he is the only one who is looking at her.

After taking her seat, Lydia begin to look around to see around the hall when her gaze fall on Abel who was paying attention to the lecture that was going on when he felt the gaze on him and turn around only for him to see Lydia staring at him.

After being caught in the act, Lydia quickly looks away leaving Abel with a confused look on his face.

"What is that all about" Abel muttered before focusing on the lecture once more.

'that boy is way different from the others and why is he giving out the same energy like those monsters' Lydia thought to herself.

The lecture was over and then came another teacher who came in to conduct her lecture before it was time for a lunch break and that is when some of the male students begin to approach Lydia in hope of making friends with her but before they could say a word, Lydia suddenly got up and ran toward Abel who was leaving the classroom with Perry while discussing.

Lydia yelled for them to stop in their track without a care in the world what the students would think of her.

"Have you met her before?" Perry asked Abel since he did not know her.

"Not at all, what about you Perry did you know her" reply Abel before returning the question.

"It would have been a miracle if I were to know such a beauty but it is quite unfortunate that I don't" said Perry with a sigh before continuing.

"since neither of us knows who she is, what did she want from us".

"There is only one way to find out" reply Abel before stopping in his track as he waited for Lydia to catch up with them.

"can I have a word with you" was the word that left Lydia's mouth after catching up to them.

Abel was confused by the statement and was just about to ask some questions only for him to end up being dragged out of the classroom while leaving Perry behind.

"that's just great. Looks like I will be spending the lunch break alone again" said Perry a little disappointed before walking out too.

Meanwhile, after Abel have been dragged out of the classroom, Lydia headed straight to the football field since it is the only place that is devoid of humans before she let go of his hand.

"What is your problem lady, first you called out to us and requested some time to talk but decided to do things your way without waiting for my reply. Is that how you people do things" complain Abel while rubbing his wrist.

Instead of answering his question, Lydia begins to observe the area to see if someone is close by, and seeing that they are the only ones in the field, she turns a serious gaze at Abel and asked.

"what do you think you are doing here".

"excuse me, is this some kind of joke or something" reply Abel with a frown when hearing her question.

"I see that you don't understand what I am talking about so I am phrase or for you. What is your kind doing here" ask Lydia?

And was only then that Abel understood what she meant by the question and he couldn't help but put on a serious face since she knew who he was, it could only mean one thing and that is she's an enemy and according to his understanding about creatures that could identify a vampire, there was one particular creature that could smell them out which is the werewolf.

Seeing how tense Abel had just become, Lydia couldn't help but shake her head.

"Relax, I didn't call you out to have a fight with you" she said.

"How did you know about my identity" asked Abel still on his guard.

"You are giving out a different energy compared to the other student which could only mean that you are not human and as to what you are, do you mind telling me" replied Lydia.

"I'm sorry but I can't, I don't even know who you are" said Abel before turning around to walk out of the field but that is when he heard a voice in his head.

"Believe me when I say I'm not your enemy so it is better we introduce ourselves".

Abel turn around to give her a look only to see her smiling at him and he couldn't help but blurt out.

"so you are a vampire after all".

"no I'm not but I guess that is what you are and taking a closer look at your face right now, I can see some features that are related to them" reply Lydia with a smile.

"Since you are not a vampire, then what are you" asked Abel.

"Why don't you guess that yourself" replied Lydia.

"I'm sorry but I am not good at that and quit wasting time playing games" said Abel.

"Alright, I am a banshee and I believe you must have heard about it" reply Lydia with a smile.
