Day off

Alisha had woken up around 7am, in hopes of going to work when she remembers she was given a day off. Smiling wholeheartedly as she picks up her phone and texts her friend Maddie to come over her place.

Then she stands up to fix breakfast which thereafter she decides to go through her PC while she is doing some research and her doorbell rings. "Who's there?" Lisha questions as she walks towards the door, she peeps through the door hole to discover maddie standing at the front of her door.

She opens the door to usher her in. "I've missed you so much Lisha " Maddie said excitedly as she hugs Lisha while holding a package.

"I miss you too baby" she signs as they both sit on the sofa "it's just that I've been busy with production, research and all of it".

"I noticed, see how you've lost weight,I know that boss of yours is giving you a hard time" Maddie blurted out in anger. "When I start up my business, I'll make you the manager so you'd quit that heck of a job" she said only to look at Lisha and find her lost in thoughts while blushing. "Are you listening to me?? You seem lost in thoughts" she taps Lisha.

"oh sorry" lisha snaps out of her daze still blushing.

 "Hold on, you're hiding something from me huh" maddie asked looking at lisha in an awkward way "spill it now" she said snapping her finger. "Did you make out with your boss?" she asked in an inquisitive tone.

"Hell, no," Alisha replied. "It's just so embarrassing to say" she replied in a bashful manner.

"There's no embarrassment between us,I don't like this suspense so spill it" maddie said in a commanding tone while laughing.

"Come closer" Lisha gestures to Maddie as she follows the command and leans closer while Lisha whispers something in her ears.

Maddie screams in surprise " Woaw!!, are you for real?? Lisha nods her head.

"I'm damn serious,I really don't know how to face him at work after that awkward moment ".

"That's something that cannot be unseen, it will keep ringing in your head". "what do I do now??" Queried Lisha.

"Well just pretend like nothing happened" maddie advises. "What size was it??" She asked in curiosity.

"Shut up, you spoilt brat,"Lisha warned as she hits Maddie's head jokingly.

 Meanwhile at Zeriel's house, he is seen having a conversation with Logan. He was in casual wear. He wore a black track and a vintage shirt. Logan was dressed up for an outing.

"How's things going in the company?" asked Logan,

"everything is going smoothly" replied Zeriel. "How's the product development going to ease the nightmare " Logan asked.

"Oh,that reminds me I'll text her to bring some samples to me, I have to test it" Zeriel answered as he picks up his phone to text Alisha.

"So what's the end product going to be like? Logan asked again.

"She's producing scented candles and also a diffuser with the fragrance" Zeriel replied calmly.

"Well that's much better, it's more subtle and soothing. It's a form of aromatherapy" Said Logan as he takes a deep breath. "It's almost time For me to leave," he said looking at his wristwatch "You're sure you don't wanna come with me"? Logan asked Zeriel. He continued "I know you're home sick, don't you wanna see your old man?"Logan asked with a questioning look on his face.

 "I feel guilty meeting my father, despite escaping death I'm losing my powers as the day goes by, I don't want to get the old man worried. Till I find answers I won't go back" Zeriel said in a sad voice as he pats Logan's shoulders and walks away heading upstairs. "Keep in touch brother", his voice echoed as he disappeared from sight.

"Young master I'm all set" the chauffeur said to Logan. "Alright let's go" he replied as they both dashed off.

Meanwhile, at Alisha's apartment she's seated together with Maddie in the sitting room watching a movie. The lights were turned off, only the light from television reflected the room.it was looking more like a cinema.

Their laughters and conversations filled the room as they had snacks beside them. Just in Alisha's phone buzz and she picks it up.

"That reminds me, the scented candles I left for twenty four hours must have cooled down" Lisha said amist her yawn. "Now I have to face him tomorrow, "isn't he ashamed?" she asked with a frown on her face.

"Your boss?" maddie asked, "yes of course" lisha rolled her eyes.

There was silence in the room for about thirty seconds until Alisha broke the silence "that reminds me,how are you preparing concerning your business?".

"Oh that?,well I spoke to my dad about it, he was excited even if he didn't show it,I know him too well" Maddie chuckled.

"Anyways he said it means I'm now a grown up woman".

Alisha laughs "your dads funny, I wouldn't blame him you've always been a daddy's girl".

 "Don't say that" Maddie said in a disappointed tone."

All right I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt your feelings"Lisha said, patting Maddie on the head.The two girls continued their movie while chatting and teasing each other till they fell asleep.

Not so long after Alisha fell asleep she heard a voice of a woman reaching out to her in the dream. She saw a little girl standing with a woman who dressed in an ancient way. She was dashingly beautiful. "Hide here my child, remember that game mommy taught you"? The lady told her with a smile "Yes mama" the little girl responded "Hide,close your eyes and count to a hundred mommy will come find you, Ready go" she said with a mixture of pain and guilt.

The woman stood up and kissed the little girl as tears rolled down her cheeks,she took a deep breath and left,she kept turning back in regret until she disappeared from sight . The little girl kept counting and counting. Alisha, who stood aside watching what happened, wondered why the woman would leave her child in the bush without coming for her. She stood there until the child finished counting and opened her eyes only to discover she was alone. The child kept crying and wandering around the bush looking for her mother. Alisha tried reaching out to the child but it seems she was invisible as the child could not feel her presence or touch.

Lisha sobbed and sobbed until she woke up to feel tears running down her cheeks. she wandered what the dream meant,lisha had always dreams but each time she wakes up she doesn't remember her dreams. Why was this one different and clear to her she thought.

Who was the mother and child she saw? As she sat up deep in thoughts the alarm rang which startled her.

"Turn it off," Maddie murmured in her sleep. Lisha picks up her phone and turns off the alarm. She looks at the time and it is almost seven o'clock in the morning. She stands up to prepare for work but taps Maddie who is still lying down. "What?"she murmured "I'm off to work soon, once you're up and about to leave lock the door." Alisha said in hurry as she dashes into the bathroom.
