The river filled with blood

"Long live the Greek Godess Aphrodite" I said, " Thank you godess for coming on this earth and being friends with an ordinary girl like me and rescuing us all today."

Aphrodite lifted me from her feet and busted into laughter.

"Seriously Serena, Greek Goddess Aphrodite? like really you think that I sought of Goddess?" She asked me staring straight into my eyes. I just nodded shyly.

"Oh dear" She said and laughed again

"Serena, Aphrodite is not a Goddess." Jared said from behind.

"Then who is she?" I asked that time only her cat came running to her saying "meow"

"And how did this cat land up here?" I questioned

"You have always been a curious child, haven't you? So many questions at a time." She said with a smile in a face as she approached me trying to come close to me. I stepped back.

Clearly she was hurt and felt a bit of discomfort by this act of mine but I had reasons too. I was really afraid at that moment not knowing what's going on.

"Are you scared dear?" She asked in concern and worries in her eyes

I hid back behind Jared, "First tell who you are." i shouted holding up Jared back tightly. yeah ofcourse I acted like a small brat at that time and I was extremely rude and impolite but my fear had made me lose all my diplomacy.

"Chill Serena" Jared said holding me up.

"Aphrodite please tell who you are?" I said with a pleading voice.

She straighten up her face. Probably getting prepared for my childish reaction as she said

"I'm a Witch"

Jason was about to faint at the back. "W-What" He said.

As per me I had turned as cold as hell. How was this even possible? like I knew Aphrodite since first grad, first standard how can she be a witch like that was next to impossible. I wasn't able to believe on her words.

She looked downwards dissapointed, disheartened by the fact that her own best friend wasn't able to accept whom she was.

I had no time for reaction, those ameoba like creatures had regenerated.

"OMG" Jason shouted.

"I am not in my full potential to form a ring again and kill them all but I can do create magical fog and distract them till the time you both can find the Banayan tree." She said

"Banayan tree? But we are standing just next to it." I said

"Not all gold is glitter, this is a different Banayan tree. I wish we had Maria with us to figure out the tree." Aphrodite said.

'Oh damn she knows about Maria' I wonder.

"Jared and Serena go and find the tree while I create a fog which those creatures won't be able to cross, I don't have much of energy left in me so hurry up you guys." Aphrodite instructed us, Jared with katana in his one hand and holding me in second ran in the other direction.

"What about me?" Jason asked

"You are too exhausted to do anything, if you go with them you will be more of a burden than help so it's better if you stay with me." Aphrodite said to Jason. Jason simply blushed.

I and Jared kept on running, trying to find the tree. It started lightning in the beautiful galaxy colour sky. Suddenly a lot of winds started coming in our direction. The speed of the wind was so high that we were struggling to even take one step ahead.

"Damn" I said. Suddenly all the dimensions of the grounds started changing, No one knew what was happening at one second we were in the ground, in the other floating in the sky.

Jared with full force put his katana in the ground. A huge explosion and flow of energy took place, all the changing dimensions and the wind storm stopped.

'What was that' I wondered, Jared looked in my eyes and understood the confusion and said

"I will tell you everything later, now our main focus has to be going ahead."

I simply nodded.

"We need to go" He said and we started running God knows where.

There was a beautiful bridge in the forest, we both looked at eachother. Something in my heart was telling me that, that's the route. Jared looked at me asking me from his facial expression that should we take that route or no? I nodded full confidence.

"Let's go" I said.

As we were in a middle of the bridge, a huge lightning striked. Jared stood nervously over there.

"We need to hurry, the portals are opening." He said alarmingly.

I was too busy looking at the water.

"Jared see... The water is red... This can't be water, is this b-blood?" I asked shakingly. He joined looked at the water and was taken back.

Suddenly I saw an old man sailing with a small boat in that bloody lake. He suddenly turned back, hid face was half burned with bit of blood.

He looked at us and smiled, God it was so damn creepy and scary and suddenly out of no where he turned into a bird and started approaching our side. Jared holded my hand and ran fast as he could.

As we went on the other side, pebbles started falling from the sky automatically.

"Damn" Jared shouted with irritation.

Just we could have a seen, a women with a blue dress, long hair angrily looking at us from afar. it was pretty evident that she wasn't a human.

Suddenly she smiled and everything became as dark as the black hole.
