16 16. The General Rescued Me

"If I killed them all, then I won't become a burden right?" Li Jie's creepy smile shined through Jiang Hua.

Jiang Hua's hair stood up, looking at his angel brother turned into a demon.

Li Jie was standing where he knocked out the man, his face somewhat distorted. He was smiling, yet it was full of anger and frustration. His eyes were dull, not a hint of sparkle in which he always have. If one could take a glimpse at him, then no one would probably survived from the gaze. A gaze which clearly limned to kill anyone who would dare entered his vision.

He never would have expected that his petite younger brother, being cared by his brothers for a long time, was turned into a malicious human being. What had he done to him?

'What on Earth did I say to provoke him this way? What am I going to do?!'

Jiang Hua was in utter shock that his fingers trembled upon seeing how his younger brother beat up the man who was firmer and bigger than him.

He cursed himself on how dim-witted he actually is. Now, his younger brother seemed like a small, lovely killing machine. Accompanied by his 'hideous' laughter or should I say cute but formidable laughter, Jiang Hua quivered with fear and agitation.

He never should have said those words. He cursed his poisonous mouth for being too toxic. Unbeknownst to his younger brother who have realized his sudden actions, had his body stiffened and his face paralyzed. There was only one thing he has in mind...

'F***!'

Before he could stop himself, his body rushed on its own and immediately let that man flew from his twisted fist. Even now, he even had this horrible habit of his. It was because when he'll become extremely angry, his hand was itching to punch someone's face until it became a scrunched ugly dumpling.

There was a time when he was in his cell back before in his previous life, there was a fat man who muddled him from his own business. That fat old man was as arrogant as a peacock that he looked at Li Jie who was currently eating his 'prison' meal. He poured something to Li Jie's food that made it inedible. The fat man was so happily satisfied as he looked at his 'perfect' masterpiece he 'invented'. He looked at Li Jie with a smug look and sneered. His ugly face really resembled Majin Buu from Dragon Ball Z that Li Jie watched from his previous laptop. No offence, what Li Jie thought was the truth.

Li Jie was smiling at the fat man. The smile that seemed so innocent, yet the creepiness was present at the young man's face. The fat man somehow felt nervous and scoffed when he turned his back at the silent young man.

However, before he could dodge the unexpected attack coming from the smiling latter, the young man's spoon buried in the fat man's neck. The man was bathed in blood, and for sure, the fat man was now a corpse. No life signs detected from him after that incident.

Now, it seemed that he had scared his older brother. He totally forgot everything when he was being angered. Not that he could help it. He was not their 'Li Jie' they knew. Instead, he was an outsider who has been a criminal ever since he lived. It doesn't matter if he transmigrated and lived with this puny little version of him. Him is him, and no one can change it. He cannot change that easily and one day, they will find out.

But, Li Jie prayed to the Gods who put him on this puny little body for the first time.

'Hey up above! You're the one who put me here! Take your responsibility! If I were about to found out, I'll make sure you're gonna suffer. if I die I will ruin your precious halo!'

He cleared his throat. He was really not in a mood to fool around or act cutely in front of his brothers. Right now, Li Jie's stoic face created a huge impact on his brother's heart. As far as you've known, Jiang Hua was crying inside.

'It's useless now. I'm gonna be busted. Bloody hell!'

The silly young man was frightened that he cursed in British inside his head. But, he was the only one who knew that. Howbeit this doesn't matter now. For sure, he was going to be busted any minute. He caused a ruckus that he wasn't supposed to do. Maybe he became paranoid that he really feared death. That's why his reflexes acted up without his permission.

But no, he let those things aside and was about to engage himself in battle. One man spotted him and was about to stab him in the back. Li Jie was unaware of the situation because he was absorbed by his anger with the mix of anxiety, he was about to get stabbed when his brother shouted out to him.

"Brother watch out!" Jiang Hua panicked and ran quickly to his brother, praying that the timing was perfect for him to shield his younger brother. But no, even if he ran, he would not make it in time. Jiang Hua was frightened, the complexion of his emotions swarmed up inside him knowing that he cannot save his younger brother.

Li Jie pondered, did he make the wrong decision? Was he being unreasonable? Li Jie was late knowing that the killer was in front of him and readily plunged him with his knife.

Ever since he came into this world. He felt fear frequently. Such as now, when he was about to get stabbed to death because of his carelessness. He didn't even prioritized his brother's feelings before he acted. Min Zhe was still fighting outside for his safety. If he founds out he died, his sacrifice ended up to shreds.

'I wonder if he'll going to sue me in heaven if I died? But, please, don't let me die!'

Li Jie shielded himself with his arms. He, as an atheist, was praying for the Gods for his safety.

'God above, I was wrong! I will not sue you! But please, don't take me yet!'

Li Jie closed his eyes, his eyebrows arched and his nose scrunched. This is it. He was going to die, he didn't buy his clothes yet. He didn't make any penicillin yet. He was so young yet he was destined to die early. Li Jie teared up dramatically and was waiting to be saved.

When he was about to die, a pair of strong hands wrapped around his waist. The strong hands lifted him up just like a cuddly little teddy bear. Li Jie was dumbfounded. He was supposed to die and experiencing an agonizing pain. Instead, he was being lifted up as if he was a teddy bear being cuddled by a certain big and firm man.

Li Jie opened his eyes and looked at the man who rescued him. The pair of strong phoenix eyes stared at him, the color of the dark colored hair that looked like beautiful dark brown silk, the straight nose and beautiful lips that made him questioned himself if he was a God, and the body whon he really envied all this time. The man who looked like a Greek God from the books, it was really captivating if one would look at his face closely.

The General looked at Li Jie closely as if he was looking at his cuddly little puppy. Li Jie was found petrified. For all the people who existed in this world, he ended up being saved by this man. He looked at him with hostility, but he doesn't know why his heart keeps beating fast. Maybe because seeing the General's face is enough to give him hypertension. For goodness sake, the General is not a cholesterol!

"Are you okay?" The General said with tenderness as if he was coaxing his wife. Li Jie doesn't know why, but he shuddered upon hearing the General's tender voice. It's as if it was a power that would never make you oppose him.

'What's with this dude? Why is he too dangerous every time I'm near him?' Li Jie thought to himself as he gripped the General's neck tightly. Well, not that he wanted to, but if he opposed the General, who knows what would happen to him. Even if he was strong, he couldn't match up with the General's strength. The General was so godly that this young man who turned into a living teddy bear wobbled on the General's arms.

Li Jie was not alarmed of the General's arrival so he was in a daze thinking about how he treated the General in the past. He could still remember how he kicked the General's national treasure that the General's eyes were red that it teared up. Somehow, he felt frightened at the situation.

'Is he going to cut off my d***? Is he going to steal my chrysanthemum? No no! Even if he's a cut-sleeve he'll not going to go out for someone like me right? What am I even thinking?!'

God above: Yeah what are you even thinking? Your paranoia seems to evolve frequently.

The living teddy bear: ... (-᷅_-᷄)

Before he got his senses back did he noticed that all the black clothed men that ambushed his humble home were now lying on the floor, bathed in blood and lifeless.

'Just how powerful is he?' He exclaimed with admiration from the General's strength. Right, just the strength he said.

Li Jie, who was now clinging to the General's neck like a koala was deeply moved by the General's daringness that he cried inside his mind. But he was taken aback when he knew this General wanted something in return. Well, it doesn't hide his inner thoughts since the General now was smirking at the latter who was hugging him.

'If you are not that desperate, I'm sure we could be best friends right now *sighs' Li Jie cried with no tears as he took a glance at the General's handsome face. And, his crazy heart keeps reacting every second he looks at him. He then thought that he would undergo a serious check up in case he have a hypertension or a heart disease. Other than that, he merely thought that the reason of his heart palpitating loudly is because of his hostility towards the General.

It was when he realized that he and the General were in an embarrassing state. The two looked like a crazy in love couple who cannot stand on separating each other even in the verge of their deaths. Thinking about this, Li Jie's face went redder and hotter that he almost looked like Mt. Fuji erupting in spring. He then cleared his thoughts and looked at the General dryly.

"General, you can put me down." Li Jie said with a hint of coldness echoed on his lips. Not just him being cold, but the older brother he ignored all this time went even colder too. He is just like a living snowman.

"No, I will not." Delun said, expressionless. Hearing the words that Delun have sounded from his throat, the living snowman sent a blizzard inside his family's home.

Jiang Hua was outraged when a certain handsome man snatched his younger brother from him that he wanted to castrate him.

"Where's Min Zhe?" Li Jie sighed as he cannot bring himself to contradict him. Instead he only asked Delun where is his older brother. It seems that the handsome man will only tease him if he wasn't being followed.

"He's outside. Waiting for you to go out." Delun said with ease, at the same time he doesn't know why the room's temperature had gone low.

"Ahem! Please General, my brother has legs. You can put him down." Jiang said. One could see how he glared at the General who was now carrying his younger brother. Outside, he was serene and expressionless as if he was fine if his younger brother was bring carried by the General. Howbeit inside, he was butchering the General and was about to cook him.

'Who do you think he is? His brother? His husband? Pah! This demon creature wanted to bring his brother to the underworld ba!'



Li Jie looked at his brother, agitated. He really wanted to apologize to him. Because of him, his older brother was frustrated because of his selfishness. And to save his family's safety, it seemed like he didn't have a choice. In this world, he was powerless. Which means, he will only agree to the General's request.
