the wandering cultivator ken

five days have passed now since ken arrived in this small and beautiful dawn city. the city was somewhat larger than tokyo but still was considered small in the standards of the immortal world . this particular planet was so much larger than earth but human population was not even the half of earth . most of the planet was filled with dangerous zones like swamps, forests , ravens , mountains etc where beasts were the king and some places were even ruled by spirit entities who were not inferior to the powerful cultivators after cultivating for thousands or even millions of years . ken toured the whole city in these days and found it very beautiful. there was no advanced technology present here like that of earth but the people lived their best by working and cultivating daily and lived in the wooden houses that were old fashioned but the scenery looked much peaceful and beautiful than earth in Ken's eyes . after fucking sophia for the first night in dawn city , ken went to the potion shop that belonged to Mary's family to apologize for his rude act of leaving her alone at the city gates and running off .

the shops was located 3 small lanes away from the flower sip guest house so ken arrived outside the shop quickly . he didnt find mary there but understood something after looking at the shop opposite the dawn potion shop that belonged to Mary's family .

the opposite shop's signboard read brown potion shop and ken saw a middle aged looking man shouting and complaining something to an officer wearing black uniform which was the same as the guards at the city gate. ken overheard their conversation with his powerful divine sense easily and got to know the crux of the matter which resolved his doubts . simply , the middle aged looking man who was the shop owner called uncle brown the relative of sam, the young man ken had killed when he rescued mary in the forest , was lying to the officer and directing him to investigate his nephew's disappearance. ken realised his mistake as just because he forgot everything and went straight to relieve his sex drive , mary was put in a difficult spot . that brown must have found it suspicious that she had returned alive while sam was nowhere to be seen .

ken couldn't be bothered wasting time on educating the scheming old man slowly so he just confirmed that mary and a man that looked like her father were safe inside the shop and started walking away slowly. he did so because ken wanted to wait when brown was alone to swiftly kill somewhere else in the presence of public to stage the murder as the doing of a mysterious man while mary and his father would get off Scot free as they would be inside their shop at that time .

his teacher had told him that' only good deeds should reach the people successfully while who was the one responsible for them isn't important ' . ken also believed this to be true so he planned to do so now . ken didnt have to wait long as just after half an hour so brown separated from the officer and went in the direction of the herbal shop that was just five shops away from his . ken purchased some black assasin clothes and changed into them secretly and wore a mask from which only his two eyes were visible to others .

ken chose this look as it was mysterious and still stood out from others which was good for an impact on the crowd . ken kicked the ground and instantly arrived in front of brown stopping him in his tracks and immediately slit his throat with a normal short sword . he then went towards the same officer who brown was talking to and took out a small green jade . he imbued a little ki into it and some images started playing in the air like a video . this made was a recording array which was basic tool used in this world . ken had many of them with him after maniac reminded him with other basic items when he woke up in the forest . the entire scene of dialogue which ken had witnessed between Mary and sam in the forest played out . ken left mid way as he had completed his purpose and wasn't a fan of unnecessary attention anyway.

this small incident happened on that day and Mary and her father were not implicated and were compensated for their lost goods after the officers confiscated the goods and money from brown's shop . other days ken just toured the city leisurely in the morning and visited many places like gambling den , auction house etc . from the evening, the workout session between Sophia and ken was underway everyday and lasted till the early morning . all in all ken enjoyed his stay and didnt cultivate in these days .

ken chose not to cultivate because he had already decided to leave the dawn city and continue his journey after he recieved his next monthly item . today was that day and as expected maniac informed ken that he was gifted with the item like always with his emotionless voice . this time ken recieved array grandmaster knowledge and has was happy with the item . it's because he was now the most knowledgable master when it came to arrays in all planes whether its immortal , divine or any other .

ken wasn't the type who would join some sect which restrict his freedom so he decided to become an official wandering cultivator . well there was no such official term for wandering cultivators but there were many of them that roam the world without bonding with any particular sect. besides ken possessed infinite currency and the system which had almost everything that a cultivator needs for purchase so there was no benefit for him to join any sect anyway. so ken left the city on foot through the rear gate and started his slow journey while enjoying various encounters with cultivators, scenery , beasts etc on the way ...
