With the crown now empty, now was the perfect time for Ahmed to make his next move. Queen Mineah was currently too busy trying to keep the kingdom together, and the constant pressure to find a new ruler was starting to get too much to keep at bay, there would be nothing stopping him from preparing Raul to be his puppet king with him behind the strings of it all.

"Is everything prepared for the inevitable takeover?" Ahmed casually asked Sage as he paced around a non-responsive Raul. "Do we have the support of the court?"

"They'll support us whether they want to or not," Sage scoffed at him, her hands over her chest as she rolled her eyes. "It's not like they have much of a choice with this idiot firmly in our control."
