Mineah's eyes widened as she stared at Devon slowly making himself stand upright again. Immediately, she knew that her time was up. There was no way that she'd be able to fight him off now. Not like this.

"Vulcan's power is mine!" the demon king screamed. "You bjtch!"

Devon raised his arm to attack, to which she quickly responded by casting a divine barrier to protect herself, her husband, and her brother from the man's assault. 

"You all don't deserve to live!"

His attack came hard and fast, and it took Mineah her all just to resist the wave of dark magic washing over her barrier. For a few seconds, she watched as her barrier buckled and shook, her reserves rapidly depleting as she waited anxiously for him to finish.
