Make An Enemy Of Your Ally

Kai is running across the states. Eventually he gets to a little town. He is still in League of assassins gear. He starts walking around in the town, and the people are wary of him. He goes into a ma and pa shop. It looks like a little convenience store. He walks up to the front desk.

Kai: What state am I in?

Shop Owner: This is a little town near San francisco.

Kai: Isn't star city close by then?

Shop Owner: Yup, just go north, and you should make it there.

Kai: Thank you, sir.

As Kai walks out he steals a compass without the shop owners seeing. Then Kai walks out of the store, and uses the compass to find north.

Kai: Well Oliver, I'll be seeing you soon.

Kai blasts off. After a little while he sees a sign saying "Welcome To Star City."

Kai: I guess I've made it, and it's night time. Where am I even going to find oliver?

Kai starts running around the city. Eventually he finds a man in a green hood. The man points a bow at Kai.

Green Hood: You're part of the league of assassins?!

Kai: Former member.

Green Hood: Why are you here?

Kai: To see an old friend.

Green Hood: Who?

Kai: You.

Kai takes his assassin's hood off.

Green Hood: Kai?

Oliver brought Kai to his base, and gave him a change of clothes. Kai Changed into those clothes, and when he went back into the main room there were two others in the room with them. There was a white woman with blond hair, and a jacked dark skinned man standing near Oliver.

The jacked guy: Oliver, who is this?

Oliver: This is someone from my past.

Kai: I don't feel like that really gives a good explanation.

Oliver: That's all the explanation needed. Why are you here?

Kai: You said I was always welcome to swing by. What, have you become bitter in your old age?

Oliver: Your not just here to be here.

Kai: Well after A.R.G.U.S. I had nowhere else to go. Especially since my helicopter crashed before I could make it back to new york. So when I learned that my helicopter crashed in california. I decided to go see an old friend.

Oliver: Do you not have any money?

Kai: I have money, but it's still a check.

Oliver: I could set you up with someone if you need a place to stay.

Kai: Like I would live in someone else's place.

Oliver: No you would be living together. You would each have separate rooms, but live in the same house. You would also both be paying rent.

Kai: I feel like you just want to get me out of your hair.

Oliver gets an alert on his phone. Oliver checks his phone.

Oliver: Because I do.

Oliver puts up his hood, and walks away.

Kai: Wow, bad timing?

Jacked guy: Yeah not the best. Anyway my name is John Diggle. You can call me Dig, and this-

He looks over to the blond woman.

Jacked guy: Is Felicity smoak.

Kai: Nice to meet you two, I'm Kai. Why is Oliver so pissy?

Dig: The League is out to get him?

Kai: To kill him?!

Dig: Yeah, why-

Kai: And you just let him leave!?

Dig: He's fine. He will be able to handle it himself.

Kai: I'm getting my gear.

Kai walks off to go get his gear to help Oliver. While Oliver is stuck in a bit of a situation. Oliver is surrounded by 5 assassins.

Oliver: Who's first?

An assassin runs up to Oliver, and Oliver shoots the assassin in the leg with an arrow. The assassin falls to one knee, and Oliver knocks him to the ground with his bow. A couple assassins came up behind Oliver. Two assassins pull bows on Oliver. Oliver shot an arrow that roped both of the assassins together. Oliver came in with a step side kick and knocked both of them down. Another assassin slashed at Oliver with his sword. Oliver blocked it with his bow. Then an assassin shot an arrow at Oliver. Oliver caught the arrow, and stabbed the assassin that slashed at him in the gut with that arrow. Then Oliver shot a flashbang arrow at the assassin that just shot at him. The assassin caught the arrow, and it exploded, blinding him. Oliver then shoots an ensnarement arrow. Which wrap ropes around the flashbanged assassin. The last assassin starts slashing his sword at Oliver. Oliver is barely able to keep blocking. Then Oliver takes an arrow out of his quiver, and stabs the assassin in his arm. The assassin drops his sword, and Oliver knocks him out with his bow.

Oliver: Done.

The assassin that Oliver stabbed in the gut got back up, and Oliver shoots him with an ensnarement arrow.

Oliver: Now I'm done.

League member: No, you're not.

A league member walks up to Oliver.

League member: You may call me Jaik.

Oliver: I'm guessing you're one of the stronger members by your physique.

Jaik: Correct, and I'm thinking this'll be my last job.

Oliver: Why sacrifice your life for your last job?

Jaik: More like "why would I kill for my last job?"

They both draw their bows.

Oliver: One of us is going to die.

Jaik: You better hope it's not you.

Oliver and Jaik both shoot an arrow. Their arrows collide, and split each other in half.

Jaik: This'll be interesting.

Jaik shoots another arrow at Oliver, and Oliver rolls to the side dodging it. He shoots an explosion arrow. The arrow sticks to the ground near Jaik. Jaik realizes a second later what that arrow is going to do. He jumps to the side, and the explosion goes off sending him flying. Oliver slowly walks over to Jaik with an arrow ready. Then Jaik throws an arrow he was hiding into Oliver's knee. Oliver drops to one knee, and shoots his arrow. The arrow was way off because of Oliver changing positions. Jaik gets up quick, and tries to smack Oliver with his bow. Oliver blocks it with his bow. Then Jaik slyly takes an arrow out of Oliver's quiver without Oliver knowing while he was swinging his bow. Oliver then rolls back, and Jaik shoots the arrow he took from Oliver, and Oliver catches it. Then the arrow shoots out white sparks.

Jaik: A flashbang arrow.

While Oliver can't see Jaik knocks Oliver down with his bow. Then Jaik takes out two arrows, and stabs Oliver in the stomach and chest with the arrows.

Jaik: I'm going to take this too.

Jaik takes Oliver's bow and quiver. Then Kai shows up in his assassin gear.

Kai: Oliver! Wait, Jaik?!

Jaik: See you later Kai.

Kai: Jaik! I'll kill you!

Jaik takes an arrow out of Oliver's quiver, and shoots the arrow. The arrow grapples onto another building, and Jaik starts zipping away. Kai throws his staff in a last ditch effort to stop Jaik, but it couldn't go far enough to hit Jaik. Kai's staff hits the ground, and Kai runs over to Oliver.

Oliver: Kai?

Kai: Yeah, I'm here.

Oliver spits up blood.

Oliver: Keep my city safe.

Kai: I will.

Oliver: Please.

Kai closes Oliver's eyes.

Kai: Damn you Jaik! I should've gotten rid of him when I was with the league! Oliver didn't deserve this!

About a week later Kai is at Oliver's funeral. John Diggle is up at the stand giving a speech. While everyone else is sitting down.

Kai(in head): Why do all my friends have to die? What did I do to deserve this? Is it just a coincidence? I'm sorry this happened Oliver. If I know anything I know I will avenge your death.

After Diggle's speech is over everyone drops a flower on Oliver's grave. When Kai decides to finally leave the funeral Diggle walks up to Kai.

Dig: Hey Kai, I can still set up that apartment deal for you if you want.

Kai: I'll live with someone. I just have something to do before I take that deal.

Dig: You looking for Jaik?

Kai: No, I'm going to find Jaik.

Dig: Just make sure you believe in what you're doing. If you don't think about it then you'll just end with another added to your body count. Make sure that you really think he deserves to die.

Kai: Thanks, but all I ever do is follow my gut.

Dig: It'll probably take a week for me to set it up.

Kai: That's perfect for me.

Kai starts walking away.

Dig: How am I supposed to get in contact with you?

Kai: I'll be living at the base. So, I'll probably be there for the next week.

Dig: Alright, I'll check back with you in a week.

Kai goes to Oliver's old base, and has no idea where to even begin with finding Jaik.

Kai: I would know where to get info on him in New York, but I've never been to fucking star city.

The elevator comes down, and then stops. Felicity comes out of the elevator.

Kai: What do you want?

Felicity: John told me that you were going to avenge Oliver!

Kai: I don't need your help.

Felicity: I know how to use computers. How are you going to find Jaik?

Kai: Fine, you can help.

Felicity: Good, but it's going to take a while.

Kai: Longer than a week?

Felicity: Hopefully not.

Kai: Good. I'm going to get a layout of the land.

Felicity sits down at the computers, and Kai leaves. For the next five days Kai walks around the city learning about where everything is. Then on the sixth night Felicity starts yelling, and smacking the table.

Felicity: I did it I did it! I found Jaik!

Kai: Where is he?

Felicity: He's been taking down criminals ever since he got here. Then I tried following him, but he always escaped the camera. Then after some math I found out that he-

Kai: Felicity!

Felicity: At this apartment.

She writes an address on a piece of paper, and gives it to Kai. Kai puts on his league of assassin gear, and goes to the building. Eventually Kai finds himself on top of the building. Then an arrow flies down right infront of Kai.

Kai: That didn't do much did it-

The Arrow explodes, and Kai gets blasted back. Kai catches himself before he falls off the building. Then Jaik grapples onto the building.

Jaik: Now I have a new bow, and new arrows. You even gave me a few days to stock up on arrows. Aren't you nice.

Kai: Fuck off Jaik. First you were an asshole at The League. Then you kill one of my friends! What do you have against me?!

Jaik: You took everything from me! I was going to be the next Ra's! Then you came along.

Kai: I left!

Jaik: Ra's won't accept anyone else! So I Left to.

Kai: I'm sorry, but I didn't do it just because! I had a job to get info!

Jaik: And I had a job to kill your friend.

Kai: Then I'll kill you!

Jaik shoots off three regular arrows, and Kai knocks them out of the air with his staff. Then Jaik shoots a grappling arrow, and Kai tries to hit the arrow away. The arrow latches onto Kai's staff, and Jaik tries to pull Kai's staff out of his hand. Instead Kai pulls Jaik over to him, and jaik unlatches the arrow once he gets close to Kai. Jaik tries to start swinging his bow at Kai. Kai blocks the swings with his staff. Then Kai swings his staff up, knocking Jaik's bow out of his hand. Then Kai japs Jaik in the stomach with his staff. Jaik falls onto his knees holding his stomach. Kai goes to slam his bo staff on Jaiks head, but Jaik throws an arrow at Kai. Kai Hits the arrow, and it sends a burst of white sparks. Jaik runs over, and grabs his bow. Then Jaik shoots an explosion arrow at Kai. Kai gets blasted back, and then Jaik sees Kai laying on the floor. Jaik starts walking up to Kai with an arrow in hand ready to kill Kai.

Jaik: Just like before I had no chance against you, but this time I was the one with a dirty trick.

Once Jaik is about to stab Kai, Kai gets to one knee then pushes off the ground, uppercutting Jaik right in the jaw. Jaik falls down to the ground dropping his arrow and bow.

Jaik: Ah, you broke my jaw!

Kai goes over to Jaik and picks him up by the collar. Then Kai slams Jaik into the wall, still holding him up by the collar.

Kai: You said you left?!

Jaik: I'm not with the league anymore. My final job was killing Oliver.

Kai slams Jaik on the wall again, and Jaik spits out blood.

Kai: Then why kill him?

Jaik smiles.

Jaik: Good faith.

Kai slams Jaik on the wall again, and Jaik looks defeated.

Kai: Why start fighting crime?

Jaik: To make up for the things I did. Like good faith.

Kai: Then you'll protect this city.

Jaik: What?

Kai: You killed this city's guardian. Now you will take his job. I have people in this city I know. If they tell me that you do anything out of line I'm coming for your head.

Jaik spits out blood.

Jaik: It's a deal.

Kai throws Jaik to the side.

Kai(in head): If I have to come to Star City because of him. I'm gonna kill him. I don't care if I break my promise. Some people just can't be trusted.

The next day Diggle meets up with Kai at Oliver's base.

Diggle: Alright, the apartment building is Henry Hall's Apartments in Hell's Kitchen.

Kai: Hell's Kitchen? It's been quite a while since I've been there.

Diggle: You sure you don't want to stay in Star city?

Kai: I'll probably come back in a few months to see how everything is, but I have a guy that should protect this city.

Diggle: Who, how? How do you know he is going to? How will you find out if he isn't?

Kai: I have my ways. Anyway, its been good man.

Diggle and Kai dap up.

Kai: See ya man.

Dig: See ya.

Kai leaves the base to go catch a plane. Once Kai is on the plane he starts thinking to himself.

Kai(in head): I don't know if I can trust Jaik. I guess once I establish myself in New York I'll probably have to come back. That is if I don't see him before then.
