9 Jenna's misery

"Tell me what has happened."

"You mean to tell us, I'm also here." Rue cut me.

"Yea, yea, whatever you say."

"In the beginning, I was living peacefully with my mother as my dad had died before I was born. My mother was very kind to me, and although we were poor we were happy. But one day my mother got sick and she couldn't take care of me as her powers had left her. Thus I went to the village that was close to our hut to ask for help, but no one would help me for free. I was wandering around the village for some days in the hope of finding someone who would be willing to help me and in the end, I found someone. He promised to help my mother if I could do some jobs for him" the girl said it all so plainly as if a thing of the past but I could feel her sadness,

"What an animal. We should teach him a lesson." Rue said aloud, getting up suddenly from the bed.

"Sit down, don't be impulsive."

"How can you be like that? You don't have compassion at all?" she looked at me scornfully,

"Who said that I'm unmoved from what I heard. I also want to do something for that, but being impulsive won't get us anywhere."

"Why not? I can deal easily with such people."

"If that's the case, why did I have to save you from those kidnappers?" I looked straight into her eyes,

"..." she was looking back at me clearly angrier.

"And I already have killed some of them so their leader will probably come here soon." I shrugged,

"How are you so sure?"

"I'm not, but I can keep on killing his subordinates if he doesn't appear. But for now, we have to take care of her mother. Um, what's your name, little girl?" I still doubt her a bit because I've heard vileness in her voice,

"My name is Jenna." She answered politely,

"Okay, Jenna, why was your voice filled with vileness back then?" I asked her straight because no way she can lie to me,

"Yes, I was being bad because that is what will save my mother," she said plainly no lie in her voice, and it made me disappointed as to how have my world become where a kid was embracing evil for sake of their family,

"Can you tell me where your mom exactly is?" I asked her and she began explaining vaguely where she was from, I understood all the information and spoke,

"Hmm, gimme a minute."

I made a map appear and I spread the map on the table behind me. Both Jenna and Rue approached me and took a look at the map.

"I guess this is the village you mentioned right?" I said showing a place on the map.

Jenna nodded in agreement.

"So your hut must be around here," I said showing another place a bit outside the village and she nodded again.

"Alright then, both of you get outside the room for a bit. I have to do something." I said while pushing both of them towards the door,

"Why are you like that all of the sudden?" Rue asked but before she was ready to say anything else I pushed her outside the room and closed the door on her face before she could have shouted,

"Pod, come here."

"What can I do for you master?" he asked,

"Give me the coordinates for that place here," I said, showing him the map.

"This spot is located 30°04'59.0"N 97°08'28.0"W."

"Okay, you can go now." I made a shoo expression,

"Master, do you know how to teleport to this specific place?"

"Yes, I know. I'm not stupid."

"Trying to find a suitable answer… Yes, you are."

"Fuck off," I said, raising my middle finger. And even though he didn't have a hand I felt him show me one too,

As soon as he activated the invisibility mode I opened the door.

"I'm done, get inside."

"Why did it take you so long?" Rue asked.

"I had to do some nude thinking, would you prefer to join me?" I whispered to her ear.

She immediately blushed and pushed me away.

I stood in the center of the room having Rue on my left side and Jenna on my right side and initiated the teleportation spell.

The three blue circles spread underneath our feet and illuminated the whole room.

"Ahh too bright!!," Jenna said her vile voice slipping out.

I couldn't resist and smiled at her.

Soon enough the circles started shining vigorously and with a flash, we left the inn's room and found ourselves in the middle of a grass field.

Looking around I could see a meadow full of flowers spreading through the valley that stops as soon as it meets with the walls of the nearby village.

"That's my house," Jenna said happily just like a child, pointing behind me.

I turned and saw a few meters away from us a wooden hut that literally looked ready to collapse.

The three of us approached the hut and got inside.

The first thing we saw was a bed and a woman lying on it. She had long white hair and was wearing a white sundress.

Jenna approached her and grabbed her arm.

"Mom, it's me, Jenna. I brought some guests with me."

But she didn't get any reply.

"Mom? Why aren't you answering?"

From my point of view, it seemed like she was sleeping, but there is no way she wouldn't wake up with that. So she must be unconscious.

That time my thoughts were cut by Jenna's voice.

"Mom, wake up… Mom, please wake up. Don't leave me alone mom." She was yelling as she burst into tears.

"Rue, take her out to calm her. I'll take care of her mother."

"What will you do?" Rue asked as she was trying to hold Jenna who desperately was trying to wake up her mother.

"I'll heal her. Now take her out."

As soon as the two of them left Pod appeared in front of me.

"I guess master will need my help?"

"You got it. Now scan her and tell me what the problem is."

"Can't you instantly heal her?"

"Yea, but I want to know what kind of illness this is. I don't want a pandemic to appear."

"Understandable. Scanning in progress…"

"Scan completed. The subject is suffering from the disease that is known to you as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome." The heck she got aids, I thought Jenna's father,

"So it exists here too? Hmm, that also explains how Jenna's father died. He was the one who transmitted the virus to her. I'll also have to take a look at Jenna too to see if she also has the virus." I tried keeping my calm,

"I have already scanned her. She doesn't have the virus." Pod nodded as he showed me a hologram of Jenna,

"Oh, nice. Good job pod. Now let's proceed to the healing process."

I placed my right hand on her belly and started killing the virus inside her in bulk if I was able to do this in my last life scientist and doctors would've torn their hair out.

The surroundings were illuminated by a radiant green light which slowly started to dissipate after a while.

"Well, we're done here. The healing process has been completed." I chimed and the lady suddenly opened her eyes wide,

"Who are you!!?" she shouted as she looked at me and tried pushing me aside,

"I did this all for your good" I replied, and looked at me with disgust,

"Why would you with a sick woman….!?" She looked as if I sexually offended her, then she looked at me closely and blushed,

"Umm…. I didn't mind but I have a daughter so I think this is that" what is this woman even going on about, and suddenly Rue barged into the room

"You just what did you do with her!? I heard a shout" she didn't even shout that loud,

"She didn't even shout!!" I replied and Rue with a cold gaze said,

"Assassin power hearing clarity" ahh was there something like that I wondered and Pod nodded, only visible to me,

"Mom!!" Jenna who was standing near the door shouted emotionally Yay!! A distraction I felt as if an angel descended to help me,

"Jenna!!" her mom shouted they both rushed towards each other filled with tears of happiness in their eyes and Rue and I both watched warmly expecting a hug when suddenly Jenna's mom smacked her head,

"You little brat!! where did you leave without informing…. I was looking all over for you!!" Jeena's mom pulled her cheeks, and Jeena replied in a fumbling voice,

"I was bringing help to save mom… meet some reasonable people…. And mons…." Did she just call me a monster I wondered as I saw their quarrel it was evident both deeply care for each other.
