Chapter 4 Welcome party

The visitors from the other packs are coming in.

They were greeted first by the guards before asking for their invitation card also some of the pack members were there to lead the visitors to the venue. The venue is held in an open area where there are tents for the visitors and all the people on the packs. In every tent, there's a 5 chair and one medium table. The foods are on the right side while the drinks are on the left side. There's a waitress and waiter also that will serve the visitors and others who are in need. Then in front of the venue, there's a stage and near the stage, there's a special tent that they'd reserved for the king and his companion. Alpha Henry and Luna Clarrise go to the visitors and said welcome and thank you for coming in. They'd talk to them and make sure that every visitor had a pleasant welcome. Around 8:30 pm King Edward came in with his companion. The guards bowed at him and greeted the king, other wolves who see him did the same. They know the consequence of not respecting the king. His beta Alexander gave the invitation card to the guards and one of the guards lead the king to the venue, on their way Alpha Henry and Luna Clarrise were waiting on them. They'd bowed and said, "Our majesty, welcome and thank you for coming, it's such a pleasure for us". The King look at them and said: " It's been a long time since I see you both Alpha Henry and Luna Clarrise, I hope you two are doing well, where's your daughter?". Luna Clarrise answered, " Our Majesty, we're sorry if our daughter isn't here with us to welcome you, she's right there on the stage cuz she wanna perform something for her visitors". King Edward look at the stage and suddenly a spotlight went on Cassandra. She began to play the piano and sing. Everyone got silent till she finished. It's like they're all in a daze for a moment cuz she sang very well and when they wake up from reality they give her applause and compliments. She said her thank you to all their visitors and to her mom and dad who prepared this all for her and also to the pack members who helped. So she gets a glass of wine and said cheers to everyone for the welcome party but suddenly King Edward came on the stage holding a glass of wine too and said cheers with her. She was surprised, shocked as the time had stopped between the two of them.

King Edward said something to her in a low voice that the two of them can only hear. Cassandra pinch herself then when she felt that it hurts she knew its the reality. King Edward looks at the people and said "Again another cheer for Cassandra". All the people cheered again and Cassandra cheered her glasses to King Edward.

She then invited all of her visitors to eat. She goes down the stage in a hurry when a guy who's the same age as her block her way and smile at her. " Hey, Cassandra right?, I'm Alpha Justine, the alpha of the Silver moon pack, it's nice meeting a gorgeous girl like you". He gives his hand to her to shake hands which Cassandra was bout to accept when Alpha Edward goes between them and looks at Cassandra and told her that her parents are waiting for her in that direction. Cassandra excused herself and went to her parents, they hug her and compliment her, and she told them she was going to the washroom. After Cassandra left Alpha Edward and his beta came and called Alpha Henry and his Luna, he click his wine glass to the couple and told them their daughter is very talented and beautiful, and whoever the mate of her would be lucky. Meanwhile, when Cassandra got into the washing room, walk back and forth there, and bit her thumb while thinking about what to do, she met that guy who told her she was her mate which made her shocked, nervous, afraid and attracted. Attracted, oh my God I couldn't 😱 She never asked for a mate to the moon Goddess, she doesn't want to have one as she thinks it'll make her weak as you have to depend on that person to feel complete which she can feel by herself, friends, and family. She's contented with her free life. Her parents never pressure her bout taking over the pacts and let her do what's her dreams and wants, she doesn't know what to do, she cannot waste this party for the sake of avoiding that guy. Her parents did this welcoming party just for her. She decided to go out and face the guy as she know she can't keep avoiding her. There's a way to deal with that guy and Cassandra is determined to do that.
