CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN: RAVEN’S NAMING CEREMONY.

 RAVEN'S NAMING CEREMONY.

Kevin's obsidian black ship, now baptized with a name… Raven. Raven flew towards the battle Ben and Gwen found themselves in to finish its naming ceremony. The ship had been worked on by a higher being and was given all the love and care that it needed to get to its current level of strength.

While Kevin was still akin to that of a divine being on planet Slyvie, he didn't let power cloud his judgment as he made room for self-upgrades on the ship in the event he might never wield divine power again. With its capacities, blessings, extraterrestrial materials, and knowledge from the philosopher's orb, Raven warped to the location of the battle in half a second.

"Weak!" The highbred lord said as he began swinging a prehistoric-looking brown coloured dinosaur around and letting go after two good swings. The brown-coloured giant flew for a few meters, breaking three walls in its wake until a green light flashed around its body, revealing a teenage boy groaning in pain.

Gwen saw what had transpired and wasn't going to take anyone threatening her cousin's life lightly. But rationality soon overtook what she felt like doing and immediately retreated to Ben's aid to secure their escape.

"Where do you think you are going?" The Highbred lord said as he made a giant leap forward to meet the terrified duo.

"I really underestimated him… I will..." Ben said between short breaths but was interrupted by Gwen who tried to make him speak less and focus on recovering.

"It's fine Ben. Can you transform again?" Gwen asked without looking back as her mana grew. She prepared to get answers about her grandpa's whereabouts now more than ever.

"Sure, I can…" Ben said but was shocked by a wormhole appearing and a ship coming out of it in the next second.

"Damn it! He brought reinforcements! Looks like we have to take this guy seriously Gwen since he is willing to go this far for us." Ben said as he got up wiping the blood on his lips and having a resolute look on his face. The same look he had when he had to give it his all against Vilgax and Kevin.

"Yeah, it's only right we repay him back in kind." Gwen said as her eyes glowed bright pink.

"Ben Tennyson and Gwen Tennyson. Be not afraid, I am Raven, your guardian angel." The ship responded immediately to the amazement and shock of the trio who were about to go all out a second ago.

"What is this? Too afraid to take me on by your little selves that you actually called your battleship? Haha, the weak will always use any method they can to cling to their meaningless and worthless lives. It's all useless anyway. Do you think I don't have weapon systems inside of my ship as well?" The Highbred Lord said as he backed away with a jump.

"Activate…" The Highbred lord was about to issue a command but was hit with a laser attack at the back of its head which resulted in an unconscious Highbred lord.

"What the…" Ben said slowly as he reached for his watch slowly. He just fought an alien now that he found a bit difficult to defeat since he was still getting used to his Omnitrix upgrades and new aliens but a spaceship just warped out of nowhere and reduced their recent oppressor to an unconscious alien.

"Quick get on!" The ship's voice rang out as it extended the loading bridge. The Tennysons were still on their guard until the whole place started vibrating.

"It really is a ship!" Gwen exclaimed.

"Then let's get on!" Ben said as he ran forward into the ship since the aesthetic design of the interior gained his trust more than anything!

"Ben!" Gwen said in warning but was soon dragged by Ben as they ran into the ship.

The ship was still hovering and only needed to turn and jet out of the alien mothership as it made a hole in its escape, reducing the integrity of the alien mothership.

The Tennysons braced for impact but were surprised when they felt nothing after watching their escape through one of the monitors on the system's control panel.

"What... just… happened?" Ben said as he couldn't believe what he had just experienced. He checked his ears to see if he forgot his earphones on and looked at Gwen who looked at him too with questioning gazes.

Their questions were soon turned into curiosity as they found two comfortable-looking couches and a table in the middle featuring a weird plant in a vase they hadn't seen before, a huge pile of Petrosapien crystals pouring out from a box, warm lighting, a fresh fragrance that relaxed their minds, a globe that looked like it belonged to an alien planet put on led display in a corner, and door compartment that led further into the ship that wouldn't allow access to the curious duo.

"I see you two can't even suppress your curiosity enough to even ask how and why you were saved." A female voice echoed through the ship.

"We had it covered! We were just…" Ben said but Gwen put a hand on Ben to let the voice they heard talk.

"Good. I was wondering when you would stop whining. I am Raven, a super-intelligent artificial being without a humanoid vessel for now. Just now, I finished my naming ceremony in good style by rescusing both of you from a Highbred lord." Raven's voice sounded calm but had a tinge of pride in it.

'Naming ceremony?' Gwen thought as she tried to get as many hints as possible from Raven.

'With the way she sounds. I don't mind seeing her human form.' Ben thought as a smile crept up his face.

Gwen could already guess what Ben was thinking by the look on his face as she shook her head. Her cousin was fairly injured but was still healthy enough to think about something she would call perverted.

'Boys will be boys.' Gwen thought.

"And who rescued us Raven?" Gwen asked.

"The one that issued your rescue is none other than Lord Kevin! The one who made me into something more than a casual artificial intelligence. I am programmed to appreciate him, but the lengths he went through were great to make sure I stay updated even in the most bleak situations…" Raven said as if infatuated with this 'Lord Kevin'.

"Lord Kevin?" Gwen said

"A new knight?" Ben said as his expression turned serious.

Gwen's eyes glowed pink for an instant and her face wore a surprised look and her cheeks a faint blush.

"It's Kevin!" Gwen managed to choke out those words.
