More than a Bullet... (2)

'This is so boring,' Six thought as he sat through the second-term ceremony.

.

A thought shared by most of the staff present. Except for Nezu. He was here in a life-like hologram that spoke in a prerecorded speech.

The students filed out with the staff once the speech was over. The hologram of Nezu just disappeared.

.

'Note to self,' Six thought as he glared at where the hologram was, 'Find and smash the projector. If we have to sit through this, so does he.'

.

With that thought, Six walked out following the flow of students and staff. As Six followed the flow, he overheard several students talking. They were speaking about skipping their first-period class. Six sighed and made it known that he overheard them.

Six's reputation made sure that they knew not to miss the class.

But as he watched the students run off, he was met with Yagi coming up next to him.

.

"Was it really necessary to scare them?" He asked as the two watched them round a corner and disappear.

"I just told them not to miss class," Six said in defense.

"By showing them you were armed and overheard them?" Yagi asked.

"Whatever works," Six shrugged his shoulders. "Besides, they knew better but were going to anyway."

"Still, you didn't have to scare them like that," Yagi sighed.

"As long as you don't question my methods, I won't point out how crap you are at teaching," Six said casually.

"That was harsh," Yagi whispered as he stopped in his tracks at Six's comment.

...

..

.

"You've got to be kidding me..." Six sighed as he dragged a hand across his face, wiping the water off.

.

In front of him stood a terrified student holding a bucket of water.

Six had just stopped by the support department to see if Dr Disaster was behaving and not creating another one of his 'Doomsday' weapons. Whether or not they worked, that is. It was always a toss-up.

Instead, he opened the door just as a student was running with a bucket of water. Apparently, the student needed to cool something down so it wouldn't catch fire.

Why they did not use the fire extinguisher that was not even five feet away from them, Six would never know.

Right now, the student was on the verge of pissing their jumpsuit.

.

"Get out of here," Six told them as he took off his duster which was now soaked.

"Hai!" The student squeaked and ran.

"Don't go scaring the students," Power Loader called from his office from where he saw the whole thing. "That's Nezu's job."

"I'm here to check up on Disaster," Six told him as he walked into the office, folding his duster over his arm. "Where is he?"

"Last I saw him, he was working on something he called the 'Penetrator 9000'," Power Loader answered with a sigh. "Something about it being able to scan through several hundred meters of material or something like that." He said with a shrug.

"Well, at least it isn't the Mezmatron," Six spoke as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Any idea of where I can find him?"

"Nezu gave him his own lab," He told Six, "I don't think he's even left there ever since he was given it."

"Where?" Six sighed as he seemed to age a year or more.

"Basement level 06," Power Loader told him.

"Of course," Six sighed once again.

.

He then left out of the support department soon after. Stopping to only fix what one student did wrong with their project. The student was baffled that they didn't see the problem before Six fixed it for them. As he left, the student who doused him with the bucket had just come back from the bathroom.

.

Six sighed as he walked toward the elevator that was off-limits to the student body. His thoughts wandering back to the Mojave. He was so preoccupied that he didn't even register that someone was following him. Until they opened the elevator for him, Six didn't even know who it was.

Startled, six whipped around with his revolver drawn. When he saw no one next to him, he looked down. Nezu just stood there sipping a tea cup as a little robot holding a tray followed him. Six just shook off the momentary embarrassment and holstered his gun.

.

"Looking for Dr Disaster?" Nezu asked as the elevator took a while.

"Yeah, just making sure he hadn't done anything to earn my ire," Six replied as the doors for the elevator shook and then opened. "Again."

"I'm also on my way to see him about a project I asked him to research," Nezu told him as the three of them entered the elevator.

.

Six sighed as the door closed, he'd had a feeling that was the case.

.

"Don't worry, it's nothing like world domination via mind control or something," Nexu said as he sipped his tea, not easing Six's worries in the slightest.

"You say that like you know what he's invented," Commented Six.

"I have an understanding," Was all that Nezu said which spooked Six a bit.

"Anyhow," Six said, steering the conversation in a different direction, "What do you have him working on?"

"A planetary, deep crust mineral scanner," Nezu answered, "We need one if we want to colonize the stars."

.

Their conversation lasted until they reached level six. As soon as the doors opened to reveal a long hallway, Six got goosebumps. His mind went back to when he'd first met the Think Tank. He still gets them from all the surgeries they did on him.

As they walked down the hallway, Nezu led Six to a specific door. After entering a code that Six memorized, they walked in to find Disaster lying on the ground asleep. Fast asleep with what looked like an art doll in his hand. Around him, numerous sketches and designs lay scattered about. From armor to weapons, the sketches and designs range was big.

Six looked around the lab as Nezu sighed. He noticed that several projects that were from the Mojave were being recreated here. Some that even the Think Tank were even working on. Six sighed when he realized that Disaster may be an idiot, but an idiot with an IQ higher than his own.

Looking back at Disaster, he saw Nezu trying and failing to wake him up. With another sigh, Six had Nezu move away before pulling out his revolver and loading a blank round into it. Seeing what Six was about to do, Nezu gave his teacup to the robot that followed them and covered his ears.

Disaster slept soundly as Six cocked the revolver. With a deafening bang, Disaster shot up. His eyes were wide as he circled around as he looked for the origin of the gunshot. Upon seeing Nezu and Six, Disaster sighed.

.

"Six, next time just pour water on me will you?" Disaster asked as he straightened himself up.

"No," Six answered him as he holstered his gun.

"Please do next time," Nezu pleaded as he rubbed his ears.

.

After making sure that Disaster didn't make another doomsday device or something, Six left the lab. Heading for his dorm, hoping to sleep the rest of the day away. But, something told Six that his idea would be for naught.

And his gut feeling was right.

As soon as he got back to the dorm, he found Aizawa waiting for him. Sighing, Six just asked what was wrong. What he was told didn't surprise him. The class was going to fight some seniors when Izuku's and Katsuki's house arrest was over. That, and Mineta was caught trying to sneak into the girl's locker room, again. Currently, Veronica was the one 'Talking' to him as she was the one who caught him.

Six wanted to pity the fool, but Veronica was the one who caught him. She might have been lenient if this was his first offense. But, since it wasn't, she was going to give him hell. She'll probably break a bone or two while she is at it.

But, that wasn't his problem. Though, Recovery Girl might yell at her.

But, it still wasn't his problem.

...

..

.

'Let's see what's on the docket today,' Six thought as he read over the students of class 1-A's most recent reports with a sigh. 'So far, everyone is doing well. Jiro and Momo have come far with how their quirks once were. Koda is less shy, but still somewhat shy. Denki's grades are doing better...'

.

As Six went over the reports, he was bored out of his mind. Nothing of late had happened and his body was growing dull at the constant peace and quiet. Sure, he sparred with Veronica and the students to keep his body in shape, but none of them could make his blood rush as they lacked killing intent bar Veronica. He couldn't even go out to patrol as wherever he went, several Heroes would follow him and all the villains would either run or give up. It didn't help that the Heroes would try anything so that they could arrest him for breaking the law.

Thankfully, some heroes just wanted to keep him from killing and stopped them from going too far.

.

"This makes me wish for a neuclear winter," Six muttered as he finished the reports.

"Please don't say that," 13, who heard Six, said in worry. "Please don't ever wish for that."

"13, I lived in one," Six sighed and rubbed his face, "Trust me when I say that, I don't mean it lightly. But, I can see where your're coming from."

.

The rest of the day passed peacefully...
