26 Hideout Raid (2)

And who I saw enter, made my night and renewed my hope.

Veronica Renata Santangelo.

If she was here, then all the rest of my family would be here as well. But that could wait for now. Now, I wanted to hug her and that's what I did. Veronica returned the hug and we embraced for a few seconds before we broke it off.

"While it's good to see you," I spoke, "We got shit to deal with."

"All right, fill me in," Veronica said, understanding that this was bad if I got serious.

"Long story short," I spoke and began to explain, "Three kids captured, one of which can make explosions from the palms of his hands and another can make a mini-nuke from her body."

"Got it. What's the plan?" She asked.

"Nezu? AllMight?" I asked to which they nodded their heads.

"We've managed to get together a total of three heroes for a Quick Response Force," Nezu told us. "Endeavor, Best Jeanist, and Edgeshot. AllMight and you two make it a six-strong force. They have been alerted to the main issue and will meet you three on a street across from the bar. The police also have been notified as well and will begin to close off the street as soon as you get there."

"Good," I said as I went to the door, "AllMight; Veronica and I will meet you there. I'm getting a few things I've been working on."

AllMight looked confused but Nezu understood what I was talking about since he's been privy to it. Veronica would be ecstatic since she could use the extra protection and firepower. As for what it was, well let's say that the villains are in for a rude awakening.

{POV Edgeshot}

.

To think that villains would be so daring. To attack a UA training camp with the intent to harm future heroes and heroines. Unbelievable. Villains of today are far more bold than what they once were.

But now wasn't the time to think about how they were more bold, it was time for me to meet up with the others. From what I was able to gather, the HPSC were too stuck up to make a QRF team for a bunch of kids that were kidnapped. Even if they were from the premiere school in Japan.

How despicable.

As I arrived at the meeting point, I kept to the shadows, eyeing the passersby. Making sure nothing tipped off the villains. I was even going so far as to use my quirk to gather information about the villains that were inside the bar, but it wasn't much and I wasn't will to go father without back-up. I caught sight of Endeavor walking to the meet-up point. As he waits by the alleyway, I maneuver myself down to his level without making a sound. As I got close to Endeavor I merely stood across from him and leaned onto the wall. And we waited.

Minutes later, AllMight walked out of the alleyway. All three of us keeping a low profile.

"We've got reinforcements coming soon," AllMight spoke softly, but we could hear it.

"We don't need them," Endeavor scoffed. "The three of us can handle it.

"While I trust your strength, this is a delicate situation. One wrong move and we could have deaths on our hands," AllMight spoke calmly.

"A situation in which none of us have, save me, a quirk to heal any injuries," Best Jeanist spoke as he came out of the crowd. "The police have started to block off the roads slowly."

"Good; when Six and his companion gets here, we can start," AllMight stated.

"Great," Endeavor drolled when he heard that Six was coming.

Minutes later and the street was clear of pedestrians. The entire street then was filled with police as we heroes came out. I stayed in the back and moved through the shadows using my quirk. I already knew the plan ahead of time. I just hoped that things went well.

{POV Six}

.

My Lone Wanderer motorcycle roared as it traveled down the road at great speeds. Veronica held tightly to my waist as I raced down the street. Due to fitting the surprise, it had taken longer than I had thought. So we were a few minutes behind. I felt as if something was off about the whole situation. It felt like it was a little too easy to find out where they were.

I addressed this to Veronica before we left. She agreed that it seemed too easy but chalked it up to the villains being stupid or overconfident. Most likely the latter she had said.

But, as we got to the street where the police had coordinated with the heroes, I felt like my gut had been on a rollercoaster. Everything seemed too perfect in how it smoothly went.

The street was clear of civilians. The police had surrounded the bar. And the heroes were waiting for Edgeshot to get back from scouting the base.

Nothing more set me on edge than this.

{POV Momo Yaoyorozu}

.

When I came to, I found myself strapped to an operating table. How I got here, I'm not quite sure. Everything was foggy. But I remember that some masked villain hit me and a few others with some sort of gas. After that, nothing.

As I tugged at the restraints holding me, I noticed a man with white hair and a lab coat going over some tools while singing some sort of tune. A very out-of-tune song. It didn't help that he was seemingly insane as well.

"Dissection, dissection~" The man sang, "Soon you'll be dissected~"

.

Yes, the man was definitely insane.

As I went to speak, I realized that I had a gag in my mouth. Lovely. At least I wasn't naked as I could still feel my clothes on my body. And, as I contemplated what to do, the man turned around.

.

"Ahh, you're awake!" The man spoke up, pleasantly surprised it would seem. "I would ask how you're doing but that would be irrelevant! I know who you are, but let me introduce myself. I am DR. DISASTER! Muahahahaha!"

.

This person's sanity left them a while ago. It's a miracle that he hasn't blown himself up yet... Scratch that, he probably has.

"Now then," He said as he held up a scalpel, "We can do this the nice way, or we can do it the painful way." He said, knowing that I couldn't answer him. "Oh! Sorry, let me take that gag out of your mouth."

"What do you want?" I said after the gag was removed.

"Oh, that is so simple~" He sang, "I just want to know how your quirk works. While I've seen and read your file, seeing it firsthand is completely different. If you cooperate, you'll not get hurt. You don't, well we'll let mister Scalpel do the talking~"

"Okay, what do you want?" I said, eyeing the scalpel in his hand.

"Splendid!" The man shouted. "Now, let's get started~"

Why do I feel like I just made a grave mistake?

{POV Six}

.

After Veronica and I got there, AllMight greeted us. The same was for Best Jeanist while Endeavor just glared at me. Veronica and I just got off my motorcycle when Edgeshot came back. He looked ragged, but I guess that was from using his quirk so much as to not be seen. And I could see a few shoe prints on his body as well.

I got to give it to him, the man was dedicated to his ninja skills. After getting a nod from him, I started to explain the entry order.

Edgeshot was first, he would go in and disable the teleporter before surprising the villains. Next were AllMight, Veronica, and me. The three of us will storm inside once Edgeshot creates the distraction. AllMight would be in charge of rescuing the students while I and Veronica would deal with the villains and any wastelanders. Endeavor and Best Jeanist, while not liking it, would stay outside with the police and grab any villain that gets outside.

Endeavor was pissed that he would stay on the sidelines, but understood that he wouldn't be able to handle this delicately. He understood his role in all this. But he did grumble about it though he never made any attempt to overthrow my orders.

"Everyone, let's start," I spoke as I pulled out [That Gun] just to be safe. I still don't know how this damn thing works but it just does.

"Let's get this show on the road," Veronica said as she equipped a large gauntlet onto her left hand, the surprise, and [Greased Lightning] on the other.

.

Everyone else nodded and got into position. Though, Veronica did look at me in surprise when I pulled out [That Gun]. She knew that I only pulled out [That Gun] when shit got serious. And if I was serious, she knew that this was gonna be no walk in the park.

As we got ready to enter inside, Edgeshot went through first using his quirk. Once we heard the commotion, AllMight broke down the door and the wall with one solid punch. Once the dust blew away, I activated [VATS] and began to target the personnel inside.

But something tipped me off. As [VATS] targeted Shigaraki and everything slowed down, a Nomu was already launching itself at AllMight with reckless abandon.

The Nomu was bigger than AllMight and twice as wide but oddly shaped. Its arms were like twigs against its massive frame but were long as hell. Its head was shaped into a point and had beady little eyes. It didn't even have legs, it had tracks that looked like they were made of flesh. Its purple skin was so taunt that you could see the veins in its body.

I've seen mutilated corpses that looked better than this thing.

Before anyone could move, I put three rounds into that thing's head and eyes. But that shit didn't work. They just pinged off of its head like I was shooting steel. AllMight acted after that, punching the Nomu as hard as he could. As AllMight was dealing with the Nomu, Veronica and I broke off and dealt with the villains that we could see.

I dealt with Shigaraki with two shots to his legs. The last shot I quickly put into Mr. Compress's gut, taking him out for the time being. As I reloaded, my hands blurring as I did so, I glanced over to where Veronica was. She had used her [Greased Lightning] to punch out twice and Himiko Toga before she used the gauntlet I gave her to make a proton shield to block Dabi's blue flames.

While it saved her from being roasted alive, the gauntlet overheated and short-circuited. But it bought time for Veronica to rush into arms reach of Dabi and drop him like a sack of maze after one solid punch to the skull. She might have killed the three of them, might not but they were out of the picture for now. Right now, the villains were subdued but something wasn't sitting right with me. And as I gazed over to where AllMight was fighting the Nomu, I understood why.

That Nomu had Big Mountain Tech implanted. The entirety of its back was wired with a massive fusion battery at the center of its back. And the wires were connected to its wrists. As I watched AllMight lean away from one of its swipes, I saw a proton blade extend from its wrist. Missing him just by a hair's width.

Without wasting any time, I pulled out a [Proton Axe] and rushed to the Nomu. AllMight saw me and could tell that something was wrong, so he did the smart thing and disengaged the Nomu. As the Nomu went to chase AllMight, I pounced on top of it. With the [Proton Axe] in hand, I began to hack away at the thing's head.

"Die!" I shouted as I hacked and chopped at the Nomu.

.

This world wasn't ready for the tech I had and knew about and if I wasn't worried about them causing a nother nuclear holocaust, I would slowly release the tech. But to see it here and with the villains, I was scared as to who from the Mojave brought it here.
