1 Prologue

A roar echoed throughout the building hidden deep in the forest of some random country.

"You didn't kill him?" A middle-aged man asked as veins started to show on his face. The two brothers stood in front of him with their heads lowered.

He survived, Thanatos survived. They were paid and threatened to get the job done. They needed his royal blood but now he was the king of the Lycans in the overworld.

The boss looked at them as he suppressed the fur that was growing out of his skin. He sighed as his red eyes lost their glow.

"Bring him in."

A whimper came from the door as It was suddenly opened. A young man was tossed in like a sack of cement. When he saw who he was in front of him fear crippled his thoughts.

Hale looked at the young man with a wolfish smile that sent shivers down his and the brother's backs. 'This was going to be a long night'.

*Yawn* Rage sat at a table on the beach looking into the ocean. 'Soon I'll be in Bermuda'. Tears of boredom spilled from his eyes as he felt sleepy. The sound of wingbeats brought him out of his daze. 'Finally' he thought as he looked up at the clouds. His ride was here. Naturally, dragons have wings but Rage was never able to shift completely or to semi-shift wings so he was stuck on the ground like a fool.

He sat up and stretched his limbs releasing the tight feeling in his arms and legs as a bit of smoke rose from his body. The wing beats stopped as a loud thud was heard. Without a need for communication, he jumped on the dragon's back. The dark-colored dragon grunted in displeasure before taking off.

"You called?" Walking into opened space Thanatos looked up at the floating person. The space was huge and gran it looks like an ancient Coliseum. The lack of a rooftop made it easy for the different races of flying mythical creatures to enter and exit.

"Yes. You have a task ahead."

"Nope. I don't have time for this."

"You don't get it Thanatos. This is impo-"

"I don't care," responded Thanatos with a blank expression. "The twins have vanished and it's putting my pack in fear. I don't want to face another rouge Lycan army."

"Haha. Too bad."

"What?"

"Thanatos I didn't choose this path for you three. Good luck."

"Good! I didn't choose it for myself either. Call me when it's something important." Thanatos turned and walked away.

"Thanatos!" the old oracle called. "You want to know why they vanished?"

Pausing in his steps he glanced back at the old vampire.

"They are building an army. Another... One... Of your oh so feared Lycan army. But there is a twist. This time they are not the leaders but... The Subordinates." The oracle smiled before continuing "If you fail to assemble the council of three then the mythical races will fight without leadership and thus it will be the end of us all."

"…" while pondering a question came found so he turned to the oracle and asked. "Why use me to form the council?"

"Because you know a powerful dragon."

"Powerful? He is anything but powerful."

"Also because I'm too lazy to leave Bermuda." Said the old vampire with a sheepish smile.

'You sound like that damn dragon.' Thanatos thought.

"Who are the candidates?"

"Rage Xexis."

"Thought so."

"And Griffin Kiam. You can find him in a vampire colony on the human side of the barrier."

"And Rage?" asked Thanatos

"Oh. He's already here."
