1 Attack

It was springtime in a distant corner of Eternity Haven.

The sky was blue in the middle of the day, with no clouds to disturb its beauty.

It was scorching hot today, making even the ground of the magnificent forest in the far east of this vast world so hot that ordinary people would avoid stepping barefoot on the soil or stones.

The gentle wind swayed the trees, and the green sea floated calmly like a painting of paradise at the edge of a lost paradise in this corner of the realm.

In this paradisiacal land, the sounds of animals, especially birds, hissed together. Over thousands of square kilometers, a symphony capable of soothing hearts and minds floated undisturbed through the air.

In one corner of the giant island, bamboo huts built near a stream made their presence felt without disturbing the natural habitat of the animals and surrounding vegetation.

People in colorful costumes came and went, including children, adults, and the elderly.

Five generations could be easily identified in the small village near the sea, where the waters of a stream joined the magnificent Playrose Sea.

It seemed an ordinary day like any other for the village of just over 100 people in the sanctuary of the Misty Woods tribe.

Children played near their homes, and men and women tended to the gathering and hunting of food, their usual routine in this paradise.

The elders meditated as always when they weren't teaching the younger ones. Some teenagers and young adults explored the magnificent island where they lived in search of new experiences and adventures.

The Misty Woods Tribe had lived on the giant island for countless generations. But young men in their prime, who had previously been forbidden to leave the village, ventured out into the dense forests of their tribe's well-known territory.

Hunting was a sport for some, but others simply wanted to see new sights, fight, and experience nature.

The world was blessed. Their lives were gifts from heaven. How could they waste what they had without making the most of it?

In a corner of the forest, a young man with black hair and tanned white skin lay on a rock, cautiously waiting for something.

Even lying down, it wasn't easy for him to hide. His body was not small.

In his twenties, Seph was 1.95 meters tall, with 94 kilograms of mass, but hardly any fat under his skin.

His body was as strong as that of a bull!

However, when you saw him up close, his size would not attract the most attention. His face would definitely attract more stares. His eyes were as black as night. Every feature of his face radiated an intense warmth that could attract humans and animals.

There seemed to be a power in his eyes, but anyone who looked at him closely would get lost in his lips and his perfectly sized nose, neither too big nor too small.

Though he had never plucked his eyebrows, they could make women jealous while his hair swayed in the light breeze.

Lying on a rock, he watched a colorful feathered bird, the size of a cow but more beautiful and striking than the largest peacock.

Seth's colorful tribal clothing covered part of his body, camouflaging him from his surroundings.

Strangely, his clothes changed color according to the surrounding vegetation.

'I didn't think I'd find you like this, Little Rainbow.' He narrowed his eyes at the creature not far from him and slowly moved a hand to the only pocket of his clothing.

As his bright smile formed, the beautiful bird with the colorful feathers stopped scratching the ground and looked to the east.

Seph changed his expression and looked in the same direction, wondering who had disturbed his hunt. After days of silently tracking the beautiful colored bird, he was one step away from capturing it.

When he noticed something catching his target's eye, he felt like someone had thrown a bucket of cold water on his back.

'Who dares?'

As he silently asked himself, still lying on the same rock, he saw the horizon in the distance through the trees, in the direction where his tribe's village was located.

A glow appeared from that direction a second later, forcing Seph to avert his eyes for a moment, unconsciously closing them.

Then...

BOOOOOM!

A gust of wind blew in the opposite direction, while a loud explosion reached Seph's eardrums and the colored bird moments after the flash in that village.

The colored bird immediately took off in the opposite direction of the explosion as Seph rose from his position, looking more seriously toward his tribe.

The intense glow of a second ago disappeared, revealing black and white smoke. It was a shocking sight for someone who had grown up in the peace of Giant Island.

His eyes opened wider, trembling.

For the first time in his life, Seth stood still for a second, feeling the wind ruffle his clothes, before finally hearing a sound he had never heard before.

"Aaaaagh!"

The first of several screams of despair reached Seth, waking him from his motionless state.

"Damn it! Something happened!" Realizing the problem, he moved.

As he moved quickly, the chain around his neck almost fell off. His speed went from zero to a few dozen kilometers per hour in a single second!

"Seth, what's happening? Where have you been?"

Halfway to the village, Seph encountered three people, two men and a woman.

They were all running at the same speed as him, wearing similar colorful clothes that basically covered their genitals and chests.

The woman had beautiful long blonde hair and eyes as green as the sea. Her physique was excellent, but her plump pink lips were her personal trademark.

Of the two men, one was a middle-aged man, strong but small in stature, only 1.7 meters.

The other wasn't as strong or tall as Seth, but his long hair and good looks were not far behind those of the village's greatest prodigy.

Seth looked at Atlas, the middle-aged man, and said. "I was out hunting nearby on my day off. I have no idea what happened."

"That's terrible!" Dax shouted when he heard that. "Just when you were gone, something like that happened?"

Dax didn't want to admit it, but any disaster that would befall his tribe would be better off happening on Seth's watch.

Though they were rivals, Dax knew things could be different in Seph's presence. As the number one of the younger generation of the Misty Woods Tribe, the tallest man in this group was as strong and skilled as the First Elder, the strongest in the village!

"Let's run. Maybe we can stop whatever it is!" Emery opened his mouth and looked at Seth. "You should leave us. Go ahead, and we'll catch you up."

Seth nodded and picked up his pace, disappearing ahead of the group like a ghost.

...

As they approached the village, Seth came to a halt, flames covering much of the surrounding area as he noticed the significantly destroyed terrain.

Something powerful had exploded near his tribe, destroying most of the surrounding buildings.

When he got close enough, Seth saw the old First Elder sitting in what should have been the center of the village, with a ten-handed giant standing behind him.

The giant's hands glowed an intense yellow. It moved according to the movements of one of the First Elder's hands, holding a gigantic shield under each of the people in the village.

Seth peered through this semi-transparent shield and frowned, noticing several fallen people, many unconscious. He didn't know if they were alive or dead.

'What is going on? Who are those people?' He looked up at the sky and saw flying boats with people in strange costumes firing their weapons at the villagers in the direction of the shield.

Identifying his enemies, Seth didn't hesitate. He jumped to the nearest flying boat to fire his cannons at the remnants of the Misty Woods Tribe.

His movement was lightning-fast. In the blink of an eye, he appeared 30 meters above the ground, within fist's reach of the boat where 10 people were looking down arrogantly.

Noticing this warrior's appearance, one of the men under the strangely shaped boat, which resembled a boat but also resembled birds, moved in front of his people.

'A native?' The white-haired man smiled.

He stretched out his two arms with open hands, and a large golden shield appeared in front of him.

However, the expression on his face quickly changed.

With his hands on top of his head, Seth formed a giant hammer, and for a moment, the clear day became darker due to the darkness of this weapon.

He moved it vertically without mercy, bringing the weapon down so fast that the gravity on the flying boat suddenly stopped working properly.

Space collided with the edges of this hammer while masses of air exploded from the friction with its sides.

Crack!

The hammer struck the large shield in front of the boat, instantly shattering it like fragile glass.

Blood spurted from the white-haired man's mouth, simultaneously drawing the attention of everyone on the first boat.

Time!

'Shit!'
