Despite being accustomed to Ji Xinxin's sarcasm, her ridiculing had hit her hard this time. She checked herself subconsciously but did not detect any issue.

She was graceful and elegant, how could she have lost her femininity? What had made her look like a man?

Ling Chuxia was puzzled and looked towards Ji Xinxin. She whispered, "Xinxin, what's wrong with me?"

Ji Xinxin sneered, "You should rephrase it to–when have you been right?"

Ling Chuxia was even more perplexed. She scrutinized herself one more time. Her hair was impeccably combed and tied into a bun. She wore little makeup and a befitting light suit with matching high-heeled shoes. She looked spectacular and elegant. What could have gone wrong?

Mrs. Shi had taught her that a dignified lady was most beautiful. Since she was young, she had always paid attention to her looks and how she carried herself. She was afraid of offending Mrs. Shi or of becoming a disgrace to the Shi family.

Ji Xinxin saw Ling Chuxia's forlorn expression and stopped ridiculing her. "Forget it. You will not understand. Tonight I have a dinner engagement. How about you accompany me to shop for a nice outfit after our afternoon tea?"

When they had finished their afternoon tea, Ji Xinxin and Ling Chuxia left in her red sports car and raced to the most renowned mall in the city of Liangcheng. The mall housed boutiques of the top luxurious brands.

The mall was situated in a superb location, in the business center of the city. Its tall and majestic building could be seen from afar. Its glimmering logo was hard to miss.

Ji Xinxin drove to the basement car park. Most car park spaces were taken on this busy weekend. Ji Xinxin had to circle around several times before she found a parking space.

Ji Xinxin was adept at reverse parking the car. Moving the gear into the reverse mode, she swerved the car precisely into space.

Ling Chuxia was impressed, "Xinxin, you're awesome! I bet you don't need to check the rear mirror. Nice job indeed!"

"Of course! I'm not you! You're lousy and took a few months to learn to reverse. To think that bastard Shi Che taught you with patience. Hats off to him! If I were him, I'd have given up on you!"

Ling Chuxia's eyes dimmed when she heard Shi Che's name.

If Ji Xinxin had not reminded her, Ling Chuxia would have almost forgotten that Shi Che was once sweet and doting towards her.

Just when Ling Chuxia was lost in thoughts, she heard Ji Xinxin proclaim. She drifted back to reality instantly and looked at Ji Xinxin.

Ji Xinxin had alighted from her car and stood beside it. She was attracted by another car and was admiring its exquisite beauty.

Ling Chuxia frowned. Ji Xinxin had high tastes and there were indeed few things in this world that would excite her. Hurriedly, she got out of the car and approached her friend.

She saw a shining black car and was immediately drawn to the logo of a silver big bird on its bonnet.
