Ling Chuxia hesitated before speaking again. "Or... would you like to take a bath first? Shall I fill up the bathtub for you?"

Just like her previous words, this utterance generated a response akin to dropping a pebble into the ocean: none at all. 

Ling Chuxia inadvertently felt discouraged. She was never good with her words, unlike her older sister who could easily turn a situation around. 

She thought that if her sister were around, the current situation could easily be resolved. 

Then again, if that were the case, the Young Master's attitude would also be drastically different. 

Shi Che's silence left Ling Chuxia unsure of what else to say. Shi Che staying awake meant that she could not go back to sleep either. She could only remain where she was. A while later, her gaze started to drift slightly. 

The rain had since stopped, together with the flashes of lightning and roars of thunder. The calm atmosphere outside stood in sharp contrast to the tense mood indoors. 

After standing for long, Ling Chuxia's feet started to feel sore. Shi Che still had not reacted. She thought to herself, Had he fallen asleep again? 

At the same time, she shifted her sight towards him slowly. 

Little did she expect that Shi Che too was looking at her. Ling Chuxia quickly jumped out of her muddled thoughts in surprise, as she straightened her posture out of instinct. 

The next moment, she darted his gaze and drooped her head like an ostrich. 

She was afraid of Shi Che and more than anything, fearful of looking at him straight in the eye. His slender eyes always carried a sharp gaze. His eyes were dark brown and appeared gloomy. He always seemed to be looking down at others, as if witnessing something falling, giving people a feeling of indescribable pressure. 

Shi Che's gaze shifted downwards as his lips revealed a smirk. In an instant, he got up and his tall body stood in front of her. She felt even more intimidated. 

Shi Che was a full head taller than Ling Chuxia. She felt his gaze on the top of her head as her scalp turned numb. She felt an urge to take a step back, but could only suppress it out of fear. 

Thankfully, the feeling of intimidation did not last too long. Shi Che had quickly turned to walk away towards the bathroom. 

As he moved, he started to take off his clothing and leave them on the floor piece by piece. 

After a few seconds, Ling Chuxia finally got out of her daze. Shi Che is going to take a bath now... Years of training had made her instinctive actions even quicker than her brain's reaction. Before Shi Che had fully undressed, she had already headed straight to the bathroom. 

Shi Che observed as Ling Chuxia breezed past him and went into the bathroom. He stopped undressing for a brief moment before continuing to take off his clothing. 

As Ling Chuxia exited the bathroom after preparing the bath, Shi Che finished undressing at that very moment. The timing was immaculately synchronized.

Upon exiting, Ling Chuxia noticed Shi Che's strong and muscular chest, laid bare in front of her. Her cheeks flushed red without her noticing. 

Shi Che was a sporty guy and especially liked intense fighting sports like boxing and Muay Thai. This resulted in his chiseled physique that could enthrall any woman. 

Every muscle appeared to be finely crafted and spread evenly across his body. His skin was tanned, his abs and arm muscles were well-defined and his waist was thin. He appeared slim when dressed and fit after stripping. His body ratio was near perfection.
