The happy Anna!

The next morning Anna woke up early as she was pretty excited to rejoin her work which had unknowingly became her passion in the last few years to keep herself away from her past as well connecting her with it at the same time.

After finishing her morning chores, she joined Richard and Emily for the breakfast and immediately texted few people to get some work sorted before going to the office. She smiled mysteriously after completing her little texting cum work which instantly came into notice of the others sitting on the table. Richard and Emily shared glances, silently communicating about her absurd behaviour. Emily just shrugged on which Richard nodded his head.

"Ummm..... Baby girl? You haven't eaten anything yet. What are you busy with on your phone that so early in the morning?"

"Huh? It's nothing Em..... just sorting some things out before heading out."

She then glanced at Richard to convey him about something. He understood her gaze and said, "Princess if you are done, let's go to the office together."

"Okay dad! I love you." She said excitedly.

Emily was amused on Anna's behaviour as it was very rare to find her in such a cheerful mood whereas Richard was chuckling in his head as he knew her too well and could easily guess that she was upto something. They bid their adieu to Emily and left for the office.

On the way, Richard turned to Anna and finally asked her about the matter.

"Princess so will you now tell me the reason behind your precious smile?"

"Dad... nothing goes unnoticed by you. Does it? Jeez! I am so excited....." She exclaimed happily.

"Okay. Now I am keen to know about it. What is it?"

"Dad... I got a call from Jack yesterday. He is planning a surprise baby shower for Em and he wants me to help him with it. God..... I am so excited. Em is really fortunate to have him by his side."

"That's great news princess. By the way, when is he planning to do that?"

"Probably this Saturday. However, he wants it to be an intimate party with some close family and friends. He thinks that it would not be good for the baby if the party would be big as you know our Emily. She is crazy about them." She chuckled at her own statement.

"Without a doubt." Richard agreed and both broke into laughter.

"Actually it would be a change for all of us, especially Em. I know she has been strained for me since she has shifted to New York. Atleast I could be able to do something for her to make her happy." Anna expressed her thoughts with a sad smile.

Richard immediately held her hand in his and said, "Princess.....your beautiful smile is enough to make us happy. And she worries because she love you. She is going to give birth for the first time but she already consider you her first baby. If you want her to be happy then always smile like this Anna."

"Dad sometimes I wonder...How I had been so lucky to have you guys around me? Thank you. I love you so much and Em too." She said and immediately side hugged Richard. He held her in his embrace and kissed her forehead lovingly. By the time, they were already outside the Watson Corporation.

Richard got a call and he immediately picked it up and went away while Anna went the way to her office. She was right away greeted by Mia who was already waiting for her.

"Good morning Anna."

"Morning Mia."

Mia was her personal assistant but behind the closed doors they were more like friends who understood each other better than anyone else. However, they mutually agreed to act professional in front of the outsiders as a protocol.

"Welcome back. I can't imagine how badly you might have missed your work."

"No one can understand it better than you Mia. It's necessary for me as it is one of my way to stay and feel close to Ashton." She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply.

"Anyways, are you done with the arrangements that I asked you to do?"

She rolled her eyes and answered, "Of course I had to. But how can you expect so much from me on such a short notice Anna? Sometimes you are impossible you know!"

"Sorry for the trouble but I know you better. You can do anything."

"Well..... thank you." She said and both of them giggled.

It was about ten in the morning when Mia informed Anna about Regan's arrival. It was his first day at Watson Corporation so she personally went to see and welcome him. She could clearly see the amount of satisfaction that his little decision brought to Richard's heart for which she was extremely grateful to him.

As soon as he came into her sight, she welcomed him and Nolan warmly who was standing behind him. "Welcome Regan. Please come and have a look at your new office."

He went with her and read his name on the door which brought a little smile on his face but as soon as he opened the door, he gasped in surprise as he never expected it to be like that.

They entered his office together which was few steps away from Anna's. She gently smiled at him and said "Hope you like it."

"Jesus... How did you do that Anastasia?" Regan was surprised would be an understatement as he never expected such a welcome from her. Amusement was clearly visible in his eyes. The whole room was a replica of his own office. Everything was same whether the furniture, walls, curtains or anything else. Even the classic paintings that were hanged on his office walls were placed at the same spots. However, they were a bit different but definitely matched his taste and he immediately liked them all. Even there was a big French glass window beside him which could clearly give him a glimpse of the town from afar...exactly how he liked it to be.

He went to the window, turned towards her and said, "Can you be more thoughtful? It's amazing. Thank you Anastasia."

She smiled and replied, "Well I know you are a workaholic and what does it mean to you to be in an extremely comfortable working place. I wanted to create something warm and cozy so that you can work in the best state of your mind but I couldn't find anything. Then something clicked and made me think that what could be better than having the same environment here too. You will certainly not miss Seattle much. But for a fact, although it was my idea, the implications were done by Mia and Nolan. You must thank them."

"But how? All this..... I mean you have been to my office only once and all of this... it's amazing."

"As I told you everything is arranged by Mia and Nolan. They have really worked hard. However, there is a section in this office which leads to a lounge. It's a bit different from this. It's according to my taste. You can have a look at it too."

They went inside and once again he was amused on seeing it. It was different in a good way painted with subtle colours that could change one's mood into better. It was warm and cozy just as she described. He instantly liked it too.

He shook his head helplessly at her selflessness and was about to say something when he heard a knock on the door. It was Richard this time. They gently exchanged pleasantries and Richard informed them about the board meeting that was arranged before lunch to formally introduce Regan as their new business partner and discuss about the plans and ideas of the biggest chain of hotels in New York.

As soon as Anna heard about it, she beamed with joy as she could see Ashton's dream coming true whereas Regan's heart fluttered with happiness and contentment on seeing her in the best of her moods. He had never seen her smiling so carelessly before but he found it to be a good change.

He was not someone who would smile or laugh easily on anything and everything but seeing her so ecstatic with a bright smile on her face brought a smile on his face too.

"I didn't know your smile would be this contagious Anastasia. I promise you today.....I will never let this beautiful smile of yours fade away from your face ever." He silently took the resolution in his heart.
