There I was, standing in the middle of the hallway, utterly speechless!

I stood with my my right leg crossed over the left in my short brown skirt and white shirt. I twirled my blonde curly hair with my left index finger while staring straight at the group of guys standing miles away

How was I supposed to face him? How do I tell him the truth? He is so good to me and this is how I repay him? I was devastated and ashamed of myself at the same time

"Rhea?", I heard a voice that sounded like that of my best friend, Jeonsa

She skipped towards me in a zigzag manner with her face all lit. The smile disappeared as soon as she saw me looking moody.

"Heyy what's that look for?", she asked me looking concerned. She placed her brown hoodie on the railings and used her right hand to lift my chin up before pushing some hair from my face

I had a long, blonde hair that flows freely down to my back.

I am tall, light skinned and, well you can say, the most beautiful girl in Indiewest High. All the boys were all goo-goo over me and they all waited in line to date me

I was the captain of the cheer team and also president of the debate club. I wasn't really good with school work but I was doing very fine in my social life

I am everything every girl ever dreamt of. I was dating Drexxi the most popular guy in school and was friends with literally all the hot guys in school including Jason, JB, Wills, and Mavins

Every girl in school wanted to be like me and while some of them were jealous to the core, they never had the courage to stand up against me. I received flowers from the guys almost everyday, one would think I own a flower store

I had the perfect life but all that was about to come to an end because of one silly mistake I made. I was on the verge of losing everything I worked for and going back to the average Rhea everyone made fun of a year ago. The thought of that alone sent shivers down my spine

"Rhea?!!", my best friend, Jeonsa woke me up from my thoughts

"Huh?", I answered subconsciously

"Is everything alright with you? And why are you starting at them", she said pointing to Drexxi, Jason, Wills and Mavin

"Huhhh… nothing", I simply said even though it raised suspicion which I knew Jeonsa was definitely going to make mention of

"That sounds suspicious", she said, "are you sure everything is okay? Is this about Drexxi and Jason?", she added

She knew me so well and could tell right through my lies

Even though we have been best friends for less than a year, we seek to understand each other so well and we vibe a lot together

Jeonsa and I got close in 5th year of high school. Before then, we never spoke to each other and we were like complete strangers in the same class

All that changed one day when my other friend, Tanya wrote down some kite is to which I guessed the artist. It was going well then suddenly Jeonsa joined us and asked if she could play the game also. I gladly said yes and she sat beside me

We sang and vibe the whole period and realized we had a lot in common. She was like the only person in class who kept up with IG, TikTok and the likes… and Tanya ofcourse

She was really cos and with time, we started hanging out more often. We would go to the other building in the school together, hang out with Drexxi, Jason and the likes then come back to class and talk about celebrities while planning our future at the same time

I really liked her company and she was also a good therapist and advisor. With time, I started opening up to her and shared some of my social life with her and she would give the best advices all of which I implemented

She wasn't really an outgoing person so I figured I would help with that. I introduced her to few of my friends in our class and in the senior class. Soon enough, she started relating with them even though, most times, she still preferred her own company. Nonetheless, all my friends liked her and she was really funny and cool and weird in her own way but I liked that too

She was shorter than me and had red hair which was medium length. She loved reading and was captain of the basketball team and in the future, she was positioned to be the senior prefect.

Soon enough, they whole school knew about us and we were the powerful duo otherwise known as THE R-J

To everyone, we were the two different species who found their way to each other or as they would say… The Social Girl and The Book Worm. I was smart socially and she was smart academically. We needed each other and we found each other

"Rheaaaa, is this about Jason and Drexxi?", Jeonsa said

"I feel so stupid for the decision I made", I replied

"Well I told you so", she said staring at me straight in the eye

Ughhhhhh I am so confused right now
