Night before Eve

Alex and Sofia visited the prison, but they were not allowed to see Moonfleks.

"Is my dad ok?, Sofia asked.

"Yes, his fine, the cop answered.

"if his fine, then, why stop us from seeing him?, Alex asked.

"he doesn't want to see anyone, he replied.

"Shorty, come over here we have some criminals to lock up, said the tall cop.

"sorry, but I've to go, said the shorty quickly walking away, and looking back so suspiciously

"this is.. this is strange, why would he, refuse to see me, is not that, we usually fight or quarrel, no.. but.., said Sofia.

"Sofia just come let's go home, I think it's time we bring your father, out of here, said Alex looking at a calendar.

"and I know just how to do that, said Alex, as they both left.

"did you say anything to them? Asked the tall guy.

"no I didn't, spit out a word not even a clue about it, said shorty.

"Good, it's better their know nothing, than to have something against us, said the tall cop, "but I won't lie to you, Valentine has a rootless feelings, against his brother, I wish you were awake to see the mess, he created on him, last night, said tall cop, heading into their van.

Alex dropped Sofia off, at her house, waving at her, as he drove off.

Sofia got inside only to meet, Margret on the bed sleeping , she ran to her.

"Margret, Margret, she said lifting her head up, and giving Margret a chucking hug.

"Sofia, (she coughed), Sofia that's enough, said Margret seriously coughing.

"Oh I'm sorry, Sofia said letting go of her, "where were you? Sofia asked.

"Oh I was with Anthony, said Margret pointing at a direction, "good morning ma, Anthony greeted, sitting behind Sofia.

"ooh, my goodness, thank you so much, said Sofia holding his hand. "and how is your aunty, 

"oh my aunty, she's getting well, thank you for paying her bills, said Anthony, looking at Sofia with a confused expression she showed.

"I wasn't the one, who paid his aunt's bill, maybe it must be the CEO, Sofia thought in her mind, as she smiled.

"ooh, Margret, I was so scared.. I thought they've taken you, said Sofia still giving Margret a chucking hug. 

"hmm, sis you're chucking me, said Margret, with her voice sounding like she was going to loss her chance of breathing.

A black car drove into a garage, finding it's way to pack, as Oliver kept on hiding beside a packed car, watching as the black car packed. Ogbolo came out of the car rushing to open the car for Valentine, (door opens), Valentine came out, as Ogbolo quickly carried Valentine's briefcase, locking the Car, he quickly rushed following Valentine behind.

"Ogbolo go pick Mr Liam, from the airport, he called me last night, telling me he wants to see me.

"ok sir, Ogbolo answered.

Oliver watched them leave, as he rushed, quickly putting a tracking devices under Valentine's Car.

"Hello Alex I've done it, and it's seems like Valentine, will be expecting an important person, said Oliver.

"Oh thanks for the information, bye, said Alex as Oliver dropped the call.

Alex sat down on his chair with his meal, waiting to hear Valentine's discussion.

"hello Benita, how are you and work… I'm happy you are fine.. What is it now… What? How many times do I tell you not, don't, don't come at all, that place is safer for you, especially for work, please don't bring up that discussion up again, (door slam open) Benita I'll call you back, call drops.

"Hello Valentine, said Liam, stretching his hands forward for a hug, Valentine face expression change.

"What a fool, look at him, Valentine thought in his mind and smiled.

  Valentine quickly got up, as both characters embraced themselves, "Valentine I'll make your sweetened meal, unbearable for you to eat, by adding too much salt into it, Liam thought still smiling, they both sat down.

"Look at you, Valentine, you're getting chubby, while I, was in jail at Italy for five years, covering up for our mess, both of us mess, said Liam, looking around.

"so why did you visit me first, instead of going home?, Valentine asked.

"What do you think, that I'll go home, without collecting money from you, after lying to my wife, that I was working in Italy, all this years, said Liam still smiling.

"I can't let my pass, come in between my future, Valentine thought in his mind, 

"ok then I give you what you want, said Valentine getting up from his Sofa, he went to his desk and brought out some huge amount of money, and closed it.

"this should enough for now, said Valentine handing over the money.

"how much is this?, Liam asked not counting.

"that's one hundred thousand naira (240.30$), Valentine answered, Liam giggled.

"What, do I look like a small child to you or a Berger, look Valentine.. you know you can't jock with me, Lamico (friend), I'll expose every thing..

Valentine hates when his been threatened or blackmailed, he shouted at Liam; hey! What's your problem, (Valentine clears his throat), ok fine I'll send more money into your account, said Valentine as Liam giggled.

"you looked at me, knowing I just came from the prison, because of the money.. you sent to me the last time, and you are still trying to do, that same thing, said Liam getting up, "I'll come for it, said Liam leaving.

"hello Oliver, get prepare, and wait for me beside the T & P. food. Industry, and send me your profile picture, said Alex dropping the call.

He quickly changed into a new cloth, caring an envelope with him. He rushed out of his house, making a call, "hello doctor Philip, get the drugs, I'm heading there already, said Alex, as he started his car driving off.

"Sofia, Ola called.

"yes what the problem? She asked him.

"the CEO sent a message to me, he said we should attend to the Indian client, the meeting is base on our local material they usually buy, and Manager Francis would be coming along with some people, said Ola.

"so what are we doing there, Sofia asked.

"nothing special only language incase it is needed, it's just you and Mr. Michael, bye I've something earls to attend to, you should be meeting Manager Francis by now, said Ola leaving .

In a speed Alex parked his Car, he carried the envelope, heading to the entrance.

"Mr Alex, Mr Alex, Philip called out running after Alex, wait, ash Mr. Alex.., Alex pretended, he couldn't hear him, as he went in passing through the revolving door, doctor Philip rushed to meet up with him, hitting his head against the revolving door.

"ash crazy boy, said doctor Philip robbing his head.

Oliver sighted Alex, he quickly ran to him, "what's up Alex, said Oliver 

"Oh my goodness his so handsome, heavenly sent, said the two ladies who were passing by, touching Alex's chest, immediately doctor came blocking Alex's part.

"wait, wait(doctor Philip bent, trying to regain a comfortable breathing speed), you.. you, I've had it over here(showing the level of his neck), I'm done, don't ever call me without your father's permission, said doctor Philip dropping the pack of drugs on the floor, "I'm leaving, ash.. he said leaving. As Alex bent to pick the drugs, doctor Philip suddenly came back, he quickly picked it before Alex could.

"I'm so sorry Mr Alex, I never meant to do that, I was just angry, do you understand me, said doctor Philip.

"ash, who are you?, Oliver asked, doctor Philip over looked him and continued with what he was doing.

Few Hours later

(Cutleries hits lightly together, chuckles and giggling),

"Margret how was school? Anthony asked with particles of food debris falling from his mouth,

"it was absolutely convenient,(she looked up) I don't know why, (she looked at him), may be today was going to be special, said Margret,(both characters giggled preparing to eat).

"but Anthony I've been wondering when you'll resume school again , it has been one and the half year since you backed down from school, what happened? She asked him, Anthony kept silent for some minutes thinking, he took a dip breath, clearing his throat and drank some liquid.

"well it a long… Anthony was interrupted.

"wait you have food debris on you lips, said Margret.

"where, he asked trying to locate it.

"let me help you with that, said Margret shifting closer.

"Mirabel are the samples complete? Francis asked.

"Yes it is, she answered.

"Miss Sofia I'm sorry I took part of your work hour time, said Francis (door slammed open, the walked in).

"no it's ok, said Sofia (door closed). 

"so this is the restaurant, we're the meeting will be held? Mr. Michael asked a male who is working under Francis.

"yes, Francis answered him. Margret was busy trying to dust Anthony's lip, (both characters smiling), In a blink of an eye she sighted her sister approaching, (surprise gasp),

"oh my goodness, my sister is coming, Margret whispered, fearful looking for away to hide.

"your sister were? Anthony asked looking around as he turned in a quick swift he hid his face, seeing Margret going tinder the table, in rush of going under the table he mistakenly dashed his feet against the floor, removing his Pam,

"ahh my feet, my feet, it's hurt, it's hurt, Anthony cried out limping on one sport. 

"what's he doing? Margret asked herself, carefully brought her head out the table. "hais, what are you doing go under already, said Margret using her hand to demonstrate,

"I need to call the client, said Francis, they stood watching around, immediately Margret got up pushing Anthony down under the table, as he dashed his head against the table, "OUCH, he exclaimed, this drew Sofia's attention, seeing Margret school bag on the chair, this made her wonder as she took a step to approach them.

"oh my head it hurts, huh, said Anthony seriously robbing his head, Margret was busy watching as Sofia approached them, seeing her leg Margret quickly turned almost falling on Anthony, as he held her, he supported as well with her hands on the floor, bother charmed young lovers sighted each other, not making a single sound.

"wait a minute this is Margret's, I am very sure of it, said Sofia taking a good look at the small doll attached to it, (shaky breath, both characters face moved closer), Sofia looked at the table.

"but what is she looking for here, Sofia questioned herself, looking down she sighted the tip of Margret shoe, in bending to open the table cloth, Anthony closed his eyes with his lips pouting for a kiss including Margret. Sofia slowly held the cloth the table opening it,

"Sofia, she head a voice close to her.

"yes, she answered letting go of the cloth, she turns.

"the client are here, and we are waiting for you, so we could start the meeting, said Mr. Michael.

"oh.. oh yes, yes let's go, said Sofia forgetting about her sister, foot steps dismissed.

  Margret opened her eyes, immediately taping Anthony on the lips three times,

"OUCH, ouch, ouch… OUCH!!! Anthony open his eyes, quickly closing his mouth with his hand,

"oh, my goodness that was close, she said sitting on the floor, "I can't believe my sister would be here, she said, mean while Anthony was bettered looking confused, 

"Oh, my goodness, it's better we leave here, she said going out of hiding as Anthony joined her,

"oh, oh my back finally fresh breeze, ha, she said taking a glass of water "that was torment".

"Margret, she head her name been called from far (hard digestion of liquid), Margret turned seeing her Granma approaching, Margret turned back, with a quick grab on Anthony's shoulder, pointing at her Granma (surprise gasp, Anthony's eye opened wildly), 

"RUN!!! Margret shouted, with out a second thought he flew.
