1 The beginning of a journey

Today was the day the prestigious academy opened its door to its newest students

The name of the academy is Althea and it was the best academy on the atras continent

Our story starts at one little village

Inside the villages heads hut there stood a beautiful girl she had black short hair with bangs covering her eyes under those bangs were icy blue eyes that radiated coldness the girl had delicate features

But while she was given a beautiful face for her body was on the short side and still undeveloped but instead of lowering her looks it turned to be an adorable girl

And her name is Gloria Wood

Gloria had been packing her stuff for she is getting ready to depart to the Athea academy for she is the one who won the written test in her country and has been given the scholarship to attend the academy on the condition of helping the kingdoms princess with her studies if she was to ever ask her

Gloria didn't care about such trivial matters for attending the academy would allow her to help her family situation and maybe she would have decent magical talent that she'd be taken under the wings of any of the attending families at the academy opening day

For the Athea academy always showcased their students talent to the world

"Dear the carriage is here" Gloria's mother Stella called on her

While her mother isn't a beauty like Gloria for she also had some distinctive features for she had like her daughter short hair but instead of black it was pink and also her eyes weren't icy blue nor were they any close to the color blue her eyes were green

Whenever Gloria looked at her mother she would always wonder if she was really her daughter

Just one month ago it slipped out of her mouth and she asked

"Am I really your daughter" Gloria asked her mother and father while they were eating their dinner

Her father sighed while looking at his already grown up daughter he looked at his wife and said

"I guess it's about time sigh Yes, dear you aren't our daughter by blood but raising you all these years,sigh,well actually from the moment we took you in, you have already became our daughter,with or without blood we are family"

Stella looked at her husband and at her daughter

"Gloria you know that your dad has always been bad with words but what he said is true we might not be related by blood but all these years" Stella couldn't continue her words for her she started to cry she got up from her seat and went to hug Gloria

Philip also went and joined in their hug which turned into a group hug

Back to the present

"Yes mom I'm ready I'll there in a second"

Giving her room one last look she took her bag while heading outside

"Hmmm so this is how a commoners house looks like" a sweet voice was heard coming from the carriage

"Your highness if you'd like to enter and see how a commoners house looks like-"

"You know Alfred you used to be a commoner as well"

" yes Your highness but thanks to you I'm now one of your knights who swore loyalty to you and I was only joking around"

"You mean my brother" thought Clarissa

Clarissa was this kingdoms only princess and it was said she had amazing magical talent for she was also given a scholarship to the academy but different from Gloria the scholarship came from the academy while Gloria's scholarship would be paid by the kingdoms own money

The princess had curly brown hair which seemed to reach her waist she pulled it into a ponytail and had purple eyes which were the royal family's trademark she also had an amazing body

Gloria showed up from the house and went towards the carriage and found a knight standing beside the carriage

She was stunned by his humongous stature

"Oh you must be the lucky girl" the knight said

"Yes my name is Gloria what might sirs name be"

"No need to call me sir hahaha for at the end I'm only a knight oh yeah my names Alfred oh and the one inside" he said while pointing at the carriage "her name is Clarissa"

"Oh my I wonder if I ever gave you the permission to call me by my name Alfred"

"Yeah your highness like you would do anything you have always been nice to us common"

"Hmph can you stop with that nonsense what is it about you being a commoner that you hate so much that makes you talk like that please just stop doing that!" Clarissa said in anger

"And you" she pointed at Gloria from the window "enter the carriage if we don't hurry we might get there late and I do not think either of us would like that"

With that all said Gloria entered the beautifully made carriage

Once she entered for the second time today she was stunned but this time by Clarissa beauty

"Hmm what's wrong is there something on my face? Oh well Alfred you also get in"

After Alfred got in

The princess asked them

"Aren't you both curious about how we are going to get to the academy when it's miles away and today's the opening ceremony"

Both of them tilted their head in wonder

Clarissa just sighed and told them with a defeated look

"It's this carriage it has been sent by the carriage so that once everyone who's supposed to go to the academy enter it would directly transport us there"
