Is she going to complain?

Zsadin left the ground and stood at the entrance keeping back the gear and guns. A few underlinks made their way to her.

"Good evening Chief, we witnessed your rounds with Chief James and you were so amazing!", he was the same over-excited underlink.

"Who is your chief?", her question surprised them.

Is she going to complain?

"Um...he is Chief Jared. We were just seeing, we won't do anything!", he got a little scared. Being reprimanded was the last thing he wanted.

"Name?"

"Harry Stockholm!"

"Level?"

"Still just A2!"

"Time of enrolment?"

"Six months!"

"Good! What about specialization?"

"Combat and defense!"

"Hmm", she scanned him and sighed.

"Are you bullying my underlinks?", a male confident voice resounded in the hallway.

He was tall like Ryan but thin in comparison to him.

"Jared, I harass only my underlinks!"

"Ah, who says? Everybody knows you pamper them! They all behave so spoiled! Even I don't pressurize them but your team seems to have saved a country in their last lives!", Jared complained jokingly.

"Okay, you all can leave, I need to talk with your Chief!", she waved the underlinks away.

"Jared, that Harry, can you give him to me?"

her requesting tone took him by surprise, a full fledged one.

"And why do you need him?"

"For Coastrun!", and Jared stared wide-eyed at her.

Seriously!

"Zsadin, are you fucking serious? You know what you are saying, right? Look, you can't go back now!", Jared was happy beyond comparison.

"Yes, but he would be a part of the second leg with my underlinks, you just have to send them to my team's dorm", Zsadin was about to leave when Jared open up.

"About James' wife, I am thankful to you! You saved my brother's life!"

"Yeah, now he is after my life!", and Jared laughed at her comment.

His brother was a fool to lose such a good friend.

As she left, Jared called Harry to his office.

"You have met Zsadin, right? What did you say her? She was so angry and upset!", Jared teased.

"Ch-Chief, I didn't say her anything! Please believe me!", he was about to cry.

"Don't cry, I am joking. On the contrary, she is impressed and wants you in her team for a mission!", and Harry was shocked, totally.

"She wants me in her team?", he doubtingly asked him

"Yeah, why such a gloomy face? You don't want to? Should I refuse her?"

"Um...no. It's not like that, but I am in your team, and I don't know her well...."

"She is strict in terms of training but devastatingly caring, report to her team's dorm tomorrow! Now she is your chief! And yes, be loyal to her!", Jared patted his shoulder and dismissed him.

On the other hand.....

"Ryan, it's me. There would be a boy named Harry Stockholm, he is reporting tomorrow, and will be a part of our team!", Zsadin relayed her message as she stood outside Chief Lee's office.

"Chief, who is he?"

"Jared's underlink and now my underlink!", she hung up and knocked twice before entering.

"Chief, I am here to discuss about the interrogation, could I?", her humble presence warmed up his heart.

"Yes, dear. Come sit!"

The discussion went on for about two hours and finally when Zsadin left for her apartment it was almost 9 pm. She sighed she would have to make dinner.

The apartment was very spacious almost like a penthouse. It was the first apartment she had purchased using her salary. It had walls filled with photo frames and each photo had memories.

It were the memories of her missions with her team, she would often look at them and relish those moments.

Once she was done with Coastrun, she planned to work for the paramedic forces on the Northern Borders, forever, not returning. Dreamt of dying while saving someone there.

Was she selfish if she found inner peace at this thought?
