"D, are you alright? Are you hurt somewhere?", Fobi was very worried whereas Vell and Sean spoke to the officers.

"Damn! If Chief had been a minute late, the situation would have been horrible", Nancy spoke trying to keep her voice low but failing immensely.

"And what do you think caused this to happen? Huh? How did he escape, Damn it!", Steves was furious. The fact that he had broken out of jail and was a fugitive now, seemed more dangerous than earlier.

Zsadin who was far in the corner, examining the bullet which had been shot walked towards Steves.

"I apologize for my incompetence. I will make sure to catch him either alive or .... dead!", saying this she bowed followed by all her underlinks.

Steves now felt somewhat embarassed and tried to clear away the air.

"Officer, I do not doubt your competence, but these people matter to me. I hope you understand".

Soon enough, the boys were again moved back to Lee's Nest. Stepping back into their safe house was something they missed so much. Although D was a bit shocked due to the sudden change of events, he still packed up his things and moved along. It was not until when Zsadin had turned up at the villa did he came back to his senses.

Now all he wanted to do was speak to her.

"Chief, this is something you knew? Was that why you rushed here?"

"Hmm".

"But then, you said, that Magnus, he came and took Brandon away? So, if that is the case, then-"

"You are right. Caleb helped him escape. I suspect he is still in F Country. So, we would have to wait", her voice sounded frustrated.

Soon enough, Ryan and the other people left the Main Hall while she remained thinking about something.

"You can come out from hiding", and a flustered D appeared.

"Officer, I needed to speak with you".

Her gaze landed on him as she nodded slightly.

"Actually, I had received a few threats earlier but I ignored them", saying this he brought out a parcel containing letters.

"Mr. D, you should have informed us! Death threats are not to be ignored. If you receive anything like this, make sure to tell Mr. Steves", she was clearly irritated but chose to not show it.

"I will get those tested, please hand them over to me", saying this she took the parcel and returned to her room.

Suddenly, Ryan and Gabe slid behind D, startling him. His expression satisfied them as Gabe began to laugh.

"It is so easy to scare you away!"

"Anyways, if you had informed any of us, Brandon would have not escaped. If it wasn't for your safety, Chief would have already knocked them over!", Ryan seemed annoyed.

"I just didn't think of them as dangerous! What does it matter to you?", furious, D yelled at him.

"Hah! I don't care what happens after our contract has finished. We just have to tolerate you for 1 month. That's it!", Ryan shouted on his face.

"I didn't knew you both could howl like that! You are true werewolves!", Nancy chirped in, while they glared back at her.

"Come on, man! Calm down, we have other things too!" Gabe dragged Ryan away.

"Ah! You all don't have anything to do right? I heard your schedule is all cleared for the month. Last time we witnessed your life, I suppose this time you all are going to witness ours!", excited Nancy slapped him on the shoulder.

"Yeah...well. It seems so... By the way, who is Caleb? I heard-"

"That is secure information. Can't share. Anyways, you should rest now!", and she left the Hall.
