13 Three musketeers

Rose was caught off guard as Rowan accidentally kissed her in front of the large crowd. She felt embarrassed and awkward, not knowing how to react. Rowan also seemed taken aback and unsure of what to do next. However, they quickly recovered from the initial shock and were able to play it off as a lighthearted moment.

What both of them did not know though is that most men in the room suddenly felt threatened by Rowan since they had planned on extending their marriage intentions to the Katz family.

"That was a slight mistake there ladies and gentlemen but we move on." Rose's words were like a command where everyone immediately stopped talking about it and switched their minds back to the current topic.

'I would like to add Lee Conglomerate, specifically Eagle entertainment to the partnership, we can still discuss about it.'

The shameless Rowan acted as if he had not just kissed the woman earlier and still leaned down to whisper to her. Rose could have sworn to have experienced immediate goosebumps as she felt his warm breath fanning her neck, his masculine cologne threatening to completely engulf her.

Before her thoughts could go further, she slightly coughed as she nodded, wanting to get rid of the man's closeness immediately.

'Tsk.. this is going to be a long journey..' Rowan inwardly muttered in annoyance the moment he detected her intention, his annoyance flaring up as he could feel all the Wolfy eyes being directed towards his wife.

'Uncultured stupid men, as if they can't tell her husband is right next to her, so stupid...' He continued complaining even though his expression from the outside looked cold, intimidating and focused.

Rowan immediately beckoned Amara to head to the stage and if one could look closely, the girl seemed to be shaking out of excitement.

'I'm going to my sister in law, I'm going to my sister-in-law!!' Amara kept chanting inwardly as she tried her best to keep calm.

"President Katz. A pleasure to meet you." She shook hands with Rose who in turn gave her a brief formal smile as she equally introduced her to Cora.

From the crowd's perspective, Rose, Cora and Amara looked like the three musketeers as all three women gave off a great sense of power, pressuring all the other young women in the house.

"Inclusive of Eagle Entertainment, under president Lee's request, we will later on hold a meeting and the rest of the details will be posted on our social media platforms. To new beginnings!"

A thunderous applause followed as the audience watched the people on stage shortly interact before Rose released them for the purpose of entertainment.

Countless people started surrounding Rose with the intention of securing deals and some with the intention of introducing their sons to her.

"Congratulations Rose!" A loud voice interrupted her as she couldn't help but inwardly curse because the person who called her was none other than Mrs Hart.

'Oh my! The Hart seem to have a good relationship with President Katz!'

'Create a relation with the Harts immediately!'

'Whoever seems to be in the good books of president Katz is automatically on our good side!'

Mrs Hart inwardly gloated as she heard people praising her family. She was now determined to make this girl her daughter-in-law. Afterall, she loves her son!

"Thank you Mrs Hart." Rose's reply was cold and dry, immediately drawing a line between them. Mrs Hart immediately frowned, she used to call her auntie, why is she adressing her that formal?

"Aah, this child! Just call me auntie!"

By now the crowd had already sensed something wasn't adding up considering the fact that President Katz was not showing any form or sign of familiarity with the woman but instead her facial expressions were so cold, her piercing eyes showing off a great sense of boredom.

Before she could reply another annoying voice interrupted, "Cousin! congratulations!"

The whole crowd turned towards the voice only to see the newest couple of the industry approaching, with Abigael wearing a very obvious fake smile trying to congratulate the new president.

Rose looked at the two and briefly nodded in acknowledgement and did not further bother with the Hart family.

Andrew looked at the woman before him and felt his heart skip a beat, she was all his! Looking at her beautiful figure, her clear brown eyes, her beautiful lips... her exposed skin..a literal beauty, all for him!

Abigael on the other hand was seriously gritting her teeth and without her knowledge she had already considered Rose her number one enemy.

"Cousin.. Andrew and I would like to have your blessing since you are like the second head of the Katz next to grandpa and grandma.."

Abigael made sure to soften her voice in order to attract pity from the crowd. Her actions equally came off as annoying to the crowd since they were trying to put in a good word for their company and someone was being a nuisance.

'A girl can't really catch a break now can she?' Rose inwardly groaned before she fully turned to Abigael and gave her full attention.

Abigael inwardly gloated as she closely wrapped herself around Andrew, expecting to see any sense of jealousy but immediately frowned when Rose's eyes remained blank and just stared at her.

"In that case cousin, I bless your relationship going forward." Again, Rose was very brief and to the point.

Andrew frowned deeply as he expected her to show signs of jealousy or even look at him with pleading eyes but not once did the girl look at him, it is like he was invisible!

His frustrations grew as he watched her go back to interacting with others, ignoring his presence not forgetting his mother who was left hanging and embarrassed.

Since it was her very first day as president, Rose was unable to get rid of all approaching her but she made sure to set the boundaries clear, giving short and straight to the point answers, accompanied by her cold and sharp looks. By the end of the interaction, she was already labeled as the Cold Rose.

From family members, family friends, business associates, the media and everyone in general, Rose said 'thank you' too many times to the point of feeling like she was about to die from exhaustion.

"Atleast you know how to do one thing right." Rose had just taken a seat when she heard her mother's voice followed by two pairs of shoes gracing her sight. She looked up and met her parents sight and instead of feeling delighted she felt nothing for the first time towards her parents.

"You can speak to your grand parents and make sure they give us the permission to govern the company sometimes, you are still young."

The couple shamelessly raised their proud chins before her waiting for her to smile at them and tell them how much she did and desperately show how much she needs their validation.

With her growing silence came their growing worry.

'What happened to our stupid daughter?'

They looked at each other with the same question running through their minds but were interuppted by their daughter's calm, collected and emotional voice.

"They are your parents, kindly seek them and not me. I need to catch a break if you would excuse me." She flashed them a brief formal smile as she headed towards Cora's direction in an attempt to avoid her parents.
