The Co-Author of The Unwritten Novel

William Molizov gained the complete memory of his past life on his 12th birthday. In his past life, he and his friend created a fantasy world for their novel, but they became so obsessed with world-building that they neglected writing the plot. The memory was cut off after he died trying to save his best friend from the incoming bus, which failed miserably, leading to the deaths of both him and his best friend, though they weren't the only ones as the bus finished off a few more. Chapter 3 - Magician of Fantasy

-Day 20 Month 5 Year 991-

I regained memory of my past life as Alicia Lund, a game streamer who began her career 2 years ago after graduating high school, a decision that my parents didn't appreciate, but they still support my decision and got me a studio to live in and send me an adequate amount of money monthly. My family was quite rich, to say the least, as my father was the CEO of a company, my brother became his successor, and my sister is studying law school to achieve her dream of becoming a lawyer. I digress. The money they sent was more than enough to pay my bills, so I often got extra pocket money to spend on stuff, so my life wasn't that hard, and I have no complaints. All in all, my life was the dream life of many, but it ended prematurely.

The moment of my death was nothing special. I went outside to take a breather. Why? I had to because I just spend 12 hours grinding this mmorpg game for an item. But then I met a bus with blood on the windshield going straight at me at high speed, and then I found myself in the ominous dark space where the only thing there was a card with the image of a person with an infinity symbol on top of their head wearing a robe standing behind a table surrounded by flowers, their hand holding a book, and a multitude of items floating around them comprised of a sword, a cup, a stick, and a small talisman with a star drawn on top.

I touched the card, and it turned into a book, which went inside my hand before disappearing. After I remembered my current life as Alice Hendrikov and woke up, my mindspace obtained two more concepts, Construct and Alterius. While I was ready for my morning like any other day, I spent a long time analyzing my memories and came to the same conclusion.

'I got reincarnated into a practical modern fantasy world.' I thought as I looked inside the gun range in front of me, with the guards training their shooting skills with all kinds of firearms. I was half disappointed looking at those guns firing at the dummies, with almost all of the bullets hitting the dummies straight in the head. I then look at the other side, where the already skilled armed guards use all kind of magic to create an advantageous situation for them to shoot their enemies .

'At least those look cool.'

As everyone concentrated on their training, a piece of debris flew toward me at high speed. Only when it was a few meters away from me did I recover from my daze. I tried to duck, but I knew it was too late. I couldn't cast magic fast enough to stop it, but then my mind steered to something else, the two concepts I obtained from the card. I instinctively knew what I had to do as I fused the effect of Spartial Distance with the alterius in front of me, constructing a space that kept expanding, powered by the natural Alterius.

I stood there looking at the debris that was flying toward me at high speed and started getting slower in an instant before it came to a stop and fell to the ground, and I canceled the spell.

"Young Miss, are you okay?"

-In a different room a few minutes later.-

A man in his 30s with silver hair was talking to a bulky man with beetle wings on his back.

"My daughter asked me not to get her a magic tutor, I already told you about this, why are you recommending one?" The silver haired man, Paul Hendrikov, asked.

"Because my adopted son wanted to start teaching people." The man with beetle wings, Dyson Scarabiel, answered.

"Your adopted son? How old is he?" Paul massages his temples.

"His name is Damien Keller, does the family name ring a bell? It's Angelica and Cedric's kid, he's 12 now. He asked me to let him teach someone because he got the Card of Knowledge."

"The Card of Knowledge? How did he get his hands on something that has been missing for hundreds of years?"

"I don't know, he told me it was revealed to him in a dream."

"You believe that?"

"Yes, with the card, he told me all kinds of knowledge about Primordial Gods."

"And that is?"

"The Primodial Gods are all in-" Before Dyson could finish his sentence, the door burst open, revealing a man in a labcoat, The Hendrikovs' Head Mage, Ivar Lund.

"Sir, we've got great news!"

"What is it?"

"Young Miss obtained the Card of Fantasy." Ivar spoke, and Paul widened his eyes in surprise.

"How?"

"We have no idea."

"What do you mean by that?"

"She just used one of the signature abilities of the Card of Fantasy using the ambient Alterius to fuel her own magic."

"We will keep this a secret, make sure no one outside of Hendrikov house knows of this." Paul said before gesturing for the Head Mage to get out and looking at Dyson with a serious face.

"So, what could I do to silence you from speaking of this to anyone else, Dyson?"

"Simple, let my boy teach her, since he has the Card of Knowledge he would be able to teach her how to control her card."

"Fine, let's have it your way."

"Alright, my job here is done, I will send Damien here tomorrow." Dyson said before he walked out the door and went home.

-Day 21 Month 5 Year 991-

Last night my father told me I would have a magic tutor, which surprised me because I asked him not to get me one, but he told me my tutor could teach me about the card that I obtained from my birthday, which I didn't even know how he knew, and he didn't tell me either, so here I am sitting on my desk being taught by my magic tutor, who's apparently the same age as me.

"Construct and Alterius are a unique combination for concepts of powers since they perfectly belong to Erzadodendron's authorities as the Primordial Creator. They're also in the same set as The Card of Knowledge, and that's why we are here. Fate united the cards from the same set. and it was only a matter of time until we finally met. Usually the card holders resort to duking it out to obtain their set of cards." My tutor then looked at me with a serious face, glaring into my eyes like he was gazing at my soul like a predator. "Fortunately for you, I have no such desire, since you're level 2, the range for your construct to stabilize is only as far as the range of your mage zone, outside of that, it will destabilize itself, and you will be left with a mass of pure alerius. As for the concept of Alterius, it allows you to use the alterius within your mage zone without filtering, and you could basically use it as you like."

"Um, teach, I have a few questions."

"Ask."

"What is the origin of the cards?"

"That you aren't ready to know yet, next."

"You should know people with situations like mine, right? Since you have the Card of Knowledge."

"Well, yes, I'm one myself, I was a college student run over by a bus on 13th of January, 2023. From the knowledge I gained from the card, I will know when a reincarnator like us will regain their memory a few days before it happens, that's why I asked my adoptive father to convince your father to let me meet you."

"Why?"

"Who wouldn't like a good story?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing, anyway, as you already know, the magic of this fantasy world is quite different from magic from others of the same genres we've seen in our past lives, it's very physics- and science-based. Unlike others, where they could do everything imaginable up until you're level 7, in which you could choose your own path of concept, allowing you to use concept-based power based on your own understanding of the concept, the reason why it's that way is because magic in this world is bound by sets of rules made by the 5 Primordial Gods. I'm sure whoever created this fantasy world has beef with Tolkien."

"What are you going to teach me when I already know everything about the magic in this world from my past tutors?"

"Just ask me questions about any subject, and I will answer if I can."

"Couldn't I just search the internet for that?"

"You could, but are you completely sure those facts are correct?"

"I guess you're right. How many people are level 9 and 10?"

"On this planet or universe-wise?"

"There are life forms living outside this planet?"

"Well, yes, but you won't find any of them different from the five races?"

"How about both?"

"Alright, there are 174 active level 9s and 23 active level 10s on this planet. Within this universe, there are 1958-no, 1957 active level 9s, and 71 active level 10s."

"Did the number just change? Why are there so few level 10s in the universe?"

"Yes, someone just failed to ascend to level 10, and for your second question, this place is the holiest place in this dimension."

Tell me if there's something wrong and I will fix it.
