Ch 1   Birth, Alpha-ARC 24

The young child started to wake up inside of a bacta incubation cloning tank. As he gained awareness, he noticed a tall creature with grayish skin and a very long neck. There was also a man with tan skin and black hair. The tank was slowly drained and opened.

"Welcome young one. I am Orun Wa, a Kaminoan master cloner. This is Jango Fett, your DNA template."

The young boy didn't speak but he evaluated the two. He was able to comprehend everything. He understood he was a clone and this man Jango was essentially his father. Orun Wa explained that they were on Kamino his home world and he was one of the Alpha class ARC troopers. His designation was Alpha-24.

Jango commented. " I have a good feeling about this one Orun Wa."

"Is that so Jango. You don't comment much on any of our clones."

"I don't know what it is about this one, but I just know he is special."

After Jango's remarks Orun Wa proceeded to run a multitude of tests on Alpha-24. He wanted to see if there was something to Jango's intuition.

After several days of tests Orun Wa reported to the Kaminoan High Council and Jango of his findings.

"I have found a genetic abnormality in Alpha-24. It appears to give him higher mental faculties. I concluded that he should be smarter than any clone to date."

Everyone in the room seemed surprised and pleased with the information about Alpha-24. Prime Minister Lama Su instructed to have him start with standard trooper training then to move on to other specialist training. He ordered Orun Wa to try and isolate the genetic abnormality so they can use it in later clones. Jango commented that he would like to see how Alpha-24 did in the standard training before deciding on how involved he would become.

Over the next year Alpha-24 easily exceeded all expectations on the standard training. In the council meeting the report was given. Orun Wa reported that he was un able to isolated the specific DNA sequence that made Alpha-24 special. That made all in the room disappointed. They wanted more clones like Alpha-24. Jango asked if he could take a more active role in the training of him.

For the next several years Alpha-24 went through all sorts of training, excelling in all. From ground and space tactics to hand to hand sparing. He trained with his fellow Alphas, Clone Commandos, Commanders, pilots, and even the basic clone troopers. He took personal training with Jango too. He developed a very close relationship with his brother clones and Jango. Everyone called him a genius, gaining him the name Gean.

The Kaminoan High Council was very impressed with Gean's progress. They decided to give him some leeway on what he would train on. They particularly were impressed with his tactics when in a command role. They decided to give Gean limited access to the database so he could look over the Clone equipment and possibly make some improvements if they were in budget.
