44 Hello Mr.Parker, I'm Lucas.

Finally Friday arrived, the day all of them had to go to the Capital city.

It was decided that Maya would head to the Parker family villa, and from there all of them would head for the airport together.

They had their flight in the evening, but Maya had already reached the villa during breakfast time, the reason being Sofia. Sofia had asked her to help with packing.

"What the hell Sofia! What is this? I know we have not decided when you will be coming back from the Capital but, there is clearly no need for you to take out so many clothes. You have almost taken out half of your wardrobe!!" Maya was shocked when she entered Sofia's room and saw her bed filled with clothes.

She felt pity for the suitcase that was kept besides the bed, "Poor thing, I doubt it can hold even one- tenth of what all you are deciding to stuff in it!"

"Don't worry Maya! And stop with your senseless jokes!! Come on. Why do you think I called you so early? Help me decide the stuff I should take with me."

"Hmm, okay. So we know that mother and father will be returning within few days, that is the morning of Monday. As for me, I think I will stay there for about a week. Now you can decide when you want to come back." Maya asked for Sofia's opinion.

"Of course I would be coming back with you! But I want to stay there for more than a week." Sofia looked Maya with puppy eyes, as she continued, "Please... pretty pleeease Mayaa!"

"Stop it! It doesn't suit you!" Maya felt weird looking at Sofia moving side to side and saying such lines.

"Why does it not suit me? I am supposed to be the cuter twin while you- you... anyways please Maya! We will have to do tons of shopping as well! Look-" Sofia pointed at another suitcase which was kept aside, "Look, I am also taking an empty suitcase with me so that we can shop more!"

"Oh god Sofia!" Maya felt embarrassed of her sister for the first time in a very long time. "If you want to stay, you can stay there. As you know, I can not take too much of leave right now, specially when my position in the company can be easily threatened." She tried to explain her situation to Sofia.

"If I did not want to deal with Lucas as soon as possible, I would have postponed this trip for sure."

Maya picked up some clothes, folded them and put them into Sofia's suitcase. "I think you can take these, they can be worn casually as well as on some occasions."

After that Sofia did not say anything much about extending the trip as both of them completed the packing.

Soon they were called down for lunch.

"So, when will you girls be coming back?" Mr. Parker asked as he got up after having his meal.

"Dad, sister said that she will be coming back after a week, so I plan to do the same." Sofia said as she walked with him.

"What will you be doing there for one entire week?" Mrs. Parker also brought herself in the conversation.

"Maya has to do some work there, it is an important thing." Before anyone could answer, Mr. parker said it himself, "For God's sake, do not create any problems for her this time." Saying that, he left the dining room.

Samartha felt humiliated at this but did not say anything, she knew when she should not cross her limits now. But that did not stop her from throwing an angry glare towards Maya.

"....?" Maya did not know what to do, as she proceeded with asking, "Have you packed your stuff?"

To show her anger, Samartha did not say anything and pretended that she did not hear Maya saying anything.

*tsk*

Thankfully this reaction was inside Maya's head, if not, then only god knew if there would be any peacefulness left in this house.

"Tell me so that I can ask the butler to arrange the things. We will be leaving in thirty minutes." Maya tried very hard not to sound irritated, it was still her mother after all.

"Y-yes both, your father's and mine packing is done, there is nothing much, it is kept in my room, you can tell the butler to take it from there." Mrs. Parker said reluctantly.

"Okay." Saying that, even Maya left the dining room.

Maya had booked their seats in the business class, but apparently, Mrs.Parker was not happy with it. She kept on complaining that Maya was not behaving as a filial daughter by making them 'suffer' in business class and not affording a first class ticket for her parents.

Maya had already expected this kind of reaction from her mother and was ready for it, but still, it hurt her seeing that her mother never appreciated the things she had done for them.

Mr. Parker was about to stop Samartha from saying anything further, but when he saw the sadness in the eyes of Maya, he couldn't stop himself from getting more angrier. He angrily looked and Samartha and told her to stop it.

Both David and Samartha sat together while the sisters sat together behind them.

About an hour later, the plane finally landed as they got out, "I have booked you cars which will make sure to take care of wherever you guys want to go, for this entire trip. So father you don't need to worry about that."

Maya informed them as they walked out. There luggage had already been taken care of. "For now, Sofia would be heading to hotel with you guys, and once she makes sure that you guys are comfortable, she will leave as we are meeting some friends today. As for me, I have some work near the airport so I'll be leaving from here." As all four of them walked out, they saw someone who was a bit unexpected... Lucas.

"What is he doing here!!!" Sofia lost her cool when she saw the person she had sworn to kill and rushed forward.

"Sofia." Maya stopped her in time before she made a scene here.

They watched Lucas as he walked towards them. He stopped right before them and with a professional smile, he shamelessly extended his hand towards David. "Hello Mr. Parker, I am Lucas Martin. I have heard a lot about you."
