Although the wait was only for a short period of time, Ella felt quite restless. 

She impatiently looked at Asher and asked him about Aiden again,"Are you sure Aiden knows this is how you are treating me? Aren't you afraid that he would be disappointed to know your behaviour towards me?"

Realising Asher had no wish to answer to her, Ella awkwardly continued, "And what's with this 'not allowed to go there' thing? I have been friends with him since he was still studying in school. We used to study together all the time. If I can't go there, then who can?"

Ella was not wrong entirely. It was the truth that she had been friends with Aiden for a very long time.

But the only difference between them was that she had very far-fetched thoughts about Aiden, whereas he only saw her as a friend at the most, not anything else.
