A mother who hated her kids

"I guess I am in deep trouble now..." Maya shrugged. After wearing a new set of clothes, she got ready and went to the reception of the hotel. Before she could ask about the details of driver, the receptionist herself said, "Ma'am you can head outside, your car is here."

"Okay thanks!"

After getting into the car, Maya thought about her situation right now, her mother seemed to be very angry for some reason. She thought of calling Sofia and asking about the situation. The phone was picked up on it's last ring, "Hey Sofia what's wrong with mom?"

*crash!*

"These stupid girls! How can the go against me! You just wait- Sofia! whom are you talking to? Is it you sister? Give me your phone! Hello!Maya! Come back this instant! Look at the mess your sister has created for me." *beep*

Maya panicked a little bit... her mother's temper issues were just getting worst. She looked at the driver and said, "Can you please drive a bit faster? It's urgent!"

.....

As soon as Maya reached the villa, she rushed inside. The scene inside was something that she had expected.... it was a mess.

The sofas were not in their place as if someone had forcefully pushed them away while decor pieces were scattered down.

Sofia was standing there silently.

Maya rushed to stand in front of her sister as to protect her from their mother. When they were young, Maya didn't know why their mother treated them so differently; just so different from all the other mothers....later on she realized that it wasn't a simple dislike seen her eyes, it was hatred, pure hatred.

Maya had guessed that their father was not home at the moment, because she could only create fuss when he was not around.

"What is it this time?" Maya asked in an irritated tone.

"Your sister!! She has started to talk back to me now. Doesn't she know that I am her mother?"

"Wait calm down! Sofia...tell me what's going on? Mom, you should go back to you room. I'll ask her."

Sofia looked at her sister and remembered all the times she had scolded her for being a willful girl. Maya always scolded her and used to tell her that she should respect herself, her body, at least avoid having intimacy with any stranger. But she used to call her old-fashioned and not listen to her. Only if she had listened to her, things might have been different.

Maya told the house servents to take her mother back to her room and tidy up the place before their father came back.

Then both of them sat down as Maya looked at Sofia waiting for an explanation.

"You know yesterday..." Sofia started, "The stuff that happened yesterday made me think that the entire thing was a set up. See, I came to pick you up, but I got mom's message that you won't be coming with me and that I should head to Zed Hotel to meet you. Then this man; Lucas, he also got into my taxi when he could have hired one from the airport itself. Yesterday night father had messaged mother to inform her that he won't be able to come home tonight, I accidentally happened to see that she had also sent you a message telling you that I won't be coming to pick you up....it's definitely not a coincidence, right? I got highly suspicious and I asked Uncle Ren to dig up some information for me."

Uncle Ren was their father's assistant and right-hand-man. Just because he was an assistant didn't mean that he was just a normal worker, in fact he was quite a dangerous man with plenty of connections.

"He had sent a folder to me today morning."
