The Secondary Genders

This story takes place in an alternate universe (AU) where human species are categorized into 3 'secondary genders' in addition to male/female primary genders, namely Alpha, Beta and Omega. This chapter briefly explains the characteristics of each genders.

Alpha

According to Darwin theory, evolved from wolf family. Able to emit, detect and control their pheromones. Are strongly affected by pheromones.

[Population]

Due to their limited reproduction ability compared to the other two, their population are the least.

[Characteristics]

-Shows great leadership skills and very charismatic.

-High self-control, but can be emotionally-driven especially when provoked.

-Naturally more focused and usually more skilled and stronger than the other genders.

-Go into rut whenever they are in the presence of Omegas in heat.

-Will bare the omega's scents temporarily after intercourse.

-Has the ability to manipulate Omegas through their alpha voice (usually used to ensure safety of omegas during heat when Omegas tend to lose their minds in search for release)

[Reproduction]

Primary genders plays no role in Alphas. The only second gender that can carry alpha's offspring is Omegas, irrelevant of their primary gender. While Alpha females are unable to carry children, both males and females can impregnate their omega counterpart.

Usual Alpha/Omega pairings are F/F and F/M, M/F. M/M pair has significantly harder chance of bearing a child so this pair is traditionally uncommon.

Alpha/Beta pairs are rare. Alpha/Alpha pairs are extremely rare.

They have equal chance of getting all three secondary genders as their offspring.

Beta

Normal human. According to Darwin theory, evolved from ape family. Unable to emit nor detect pheromones.

[Population]

The highest population as any secondary gender pairings can result in Beta offspring.

[Characteristics]

-Very mild in compare to the other two genders.

-Usually more calm and rational.

-Other normal human characteristics.

[Reproduction]

Same as normal human where male impregnates their female counterparts. This also applies to Beta/Omega pairs where the male Omegas can impregnate female Betas but female Betas cannot do the same with male Omegas. The only difference is male Betas can impregnate male Omegas as well.

Traditional Beta/Beta pairings are M/F, Beta/Omega are F/M, M/F. Similar to Alpha/Omega pairings, M/M pair has significantly harder chance of bearing a child so this pair is traditionally uncommon. Beta/Beta same gender pairs are rare but increasing over the years.

Alpha/Beta pairs are rare.

Beta/Beta pairing have higher chance of getting Beta children, but they may get Omegas although very rarely. Beta/Omega pairings have equal chance of getting Beta and Omega offspring.

Omegas

Darwin theory cannot explain their evolution. Unlike their counterpart, they are borne Betas and 'present' as Omegas around puberty (12-17 years old). Like their counterpart, are able to emit, detect and control their pheromones. Are strongly affected by pheromones.

[Population]

Due to discrimination and abuse, their numbers used to be lower but as efforts have been taken to protect and ensure their wellbeing, Omegas are now only slightly lower than Betas.

[Characteristics]

-Still attain their Beta characteristics but are more emotionally-driven, especially during heat when they feel the most vulnerable

-Goes into heat every three to four months.

-Will bare the alpha's scents temporarily after intercourse.

-Due to their inability to do anything during their periodic heat, Omegas used to be professionally discriminated upon.

[Reproduction]

Like their Alpha counterpart, primary genders plays no role with Alpha/Omega pairing. On the other hand primary genders is important for Beta/Omega pairs. Male Omegas develop their uterus after presenting which cause them great discomfort and pain. The males will also be able to self-lubricate once presenting.

Omega pairings are as explained in Alpha and Beta part.

Alpha/Omega pairs have equal chance of getting all three secondary genders as their offspring. Beta/Omega pairs have equal chance of getting Beta and Omega offspring. Omega/Omega pair (extremely rare and forbidden) results in another secondary gender called Delta which are either physically or psychologically disabled.

Omega/Omega pairs are extremely rare as they are not physically attracted to each other (pheromone reaction). However there were a few cases which results in discovery of the fourth secondary gender. After research shows that physically abled Deltas are either psychotic or sociopaths, this pairing is forbidden by the law and is considered a crime in some countries.
