2 A new life

As the dust settled and the echoes of screeching tires faded away, our protagonist Haruki slowly opened his eyes, expecting to find himself in the realm of the departed. To his astonishment, he discovered that he was alive, albeit in an unfamiliar setting.

"Welcome, brave soul," the goddess spoke with a gentle smile. "You have shown great courage and selflessness, and I have chosen to grant you a new life in this world."

Still in awe of the situation, our protagonist stumbled over his words. "Who... who are you?"

"I am Astara, the goddess of this realm," she replied. "You have caught my attention with your heroic act, and as a token of my gratitude, I bestow upon you the Book of Eternia."

As she spoke, a mystical book materialized in her hands, emitting a soft, ethereal glow. The book seemed to contain boundless knowledge and possibilities, its pages filled with intricate illustrations and inscriptions.

"The Book of Eternia holds the wisdom of this world," Astara explained. "It will serve as your guide and provide you with the knowledge necessary to navigate through this new life."

Intrigued and filled with a sense of wonder, our protagonist reached out and accepted the book from Astara's outstretched hand. As he touched it, a surge of energy coursed through his veins, as if a connection had been forged between him and the ancient knowledge contained within its pages.

With that, Astara disappeared, leaving our protagonist standing in the meadow, clutching the Book of Eternia. The weight of his shattered dreams and the scars of his past seemed to lighten, replaced by a newfound sense of excitement and possibility.
