Prologue

*The sun peeks over the eastern mountains, its rays flow over the vast plains and forests of the west. The first bits of the new day's light shine on the land of Elaysia. A grand kingdom can be seen, the kingdom of Lorden, this kingdom towered over everything around it, for it was in the center of this great land and was run by the greatest king seen in an age, King Richard White. King Richard has been ruling over Elaysia for 5 decades, his influence has spread to every corner of the land, and because of that a golden age of peace has come to Elaysia. But King Richard did not achieve this alone, his wife Queen Ana has been by his side every step of the way. The king and queen have had 3 children together, 2 daughters and one son, Elizabeth is the oldest, tall with long brown hair she is 26 years old and is the embodiment of a ruler, strong, fair, and pure of heart. Stephanie the middle child is average height with long black hair, she is 24 years old and is a scholar at heart, intelligent and naturally gifted in the magical arts she hopes to do great things for her country. And finally there only son, Alex is tall with short brown hair, he is 21 years old and his body is naturally fit and sculpted like a warrior, but Alex is not a warrior nor is he a leader or a scholar, Alex is a disgrace. His family constantly hears of his debauchery, drinking all night, sleeping all day, only the lord knows how many times he's been dragged back to the castle.*

But enough about that, today is a special day, today is the day where princess Elizabeth becomes queen, her coronation is in just a few hours and the citizens are ecstatic. It's no secret that Elizabeth is adored by her people, most kingdoms would find it strange a woman claiming the throne, and without a husband even, but here in Lorden this thought never entered anyone's mind. And so as the people poured into the square the time had finally come, a man who is known amongst the royals and commoners alike steps up on the platform. He his tall, his head has no hair but he boasts a large mustache and beard that shows he has black hair, this man is General Grant, he leads the armies of Lorden, his voice is powerful as it spreads across the square demanding quiet and attention.* "Citizens of Lorden, the time has finally come. Today you shall behold the end of a glorious reign, and the beginning of a promising one. Let us thank the lord that our great King Richard lived to see his eldest inherit his throne. Now, if you would all share with me a moment of silence for all of the soldiers who lost there lives so that this day may be possible." *Not a sound was made, for 60 seconds the air was still. After that time the king stood up and Grant bowed stepping down from the platform.* "My people, today is a happy day, today is the day I see my beloved daughter become what she was ment to be. I feel great pride as a father, but I also feel comfort as a ruler, the greatest fear a king has is the fall of what he has built, but I stand here today in complete confidence that our kingdom will prosper under Elizabeth's rule." *The crowd cheers as Elizabeth stands and bows to her father. The two part as a man in white robes comes between them.* "In the sight of god I shall pass the crown from one monarch to another." *The king for the first time in his reign kneels as the crown is taken off his head. The priest then moves and places the crown on Elizabeth's head, she stands slowly and looks out over her people as the priest speaks.* "All hail Queen Elizabeth!" *The crowd cheers, hugs are exchanged, prayers are said, there is a new ruler in Lorden today. *

*Unfortunately good times cannot last, as the crowd enjoys the presence of there new queen a storm quickly appears in the sky. Powerful winds and heavy rain pelts the city, the people scatter and look for refuge when a purple swirling vortex appears in the sky. A large black mass appears from inside and begins to fall towards the capital, it lands making a large crater in the stone ground and only now can you appreciate the size. It towers over everything in sight as it begins to stir and take shape, everyone watches in horror as they come to realize what is happening, a dragon, a dragon has come.*
