13 Preparation for the ball

Everybody looked at April. They were wondering that this girl was going to do such action.

'' well, if she wants to do it then she should continuo '' Katherina Said simply, sipping her wine.

Everybody stayed silence .

April bends to picked the broken pieces but Anabis stopped her by holding her left shoulder " stop my lady!,you will hurt yourself!" Anabis said with a worried expression , " why should I stop?" Anabis said with a decisive expression "will you not hurt yourself too?" She added . She then remove the hand of Anabis on her shoulder .

Darvin looked at the king,his looked was asking if the king wasn't going to do anything but the king was just sipping his wine calmly.

April continuo to bend and reached near the broken pieces,she opened her mouth and was ready to lick the pieces when someone shouted " Father!!!!!" a voice resonated in the whole room. The voice was so loud and firm that April blenched and looked at the person.

It was Edward, he was standing up , looking at his father with a stern looked but the king was just sipping his wine not looking at him ,he then put his glass on the table and finally spoke "Don't get involved in that" he said calmly " The Blackwood are my guests" He added with the same tune and Edward immediately replied "And April Beckinsale is my wife" he said firmly .

April was surprised with the reaction of Edward but she was also happy with that , it was the first time that he called her by her name.

On the other way Katherina was also surprised because Edward will never intervened in a problem that doesn't concern him but now he was defending this girl. "She should Let the maid do her punishment ,without intervening" Katherina Said displeased.

Looking at the situation King Almon decided to remove the punishment "Anabis." He called and Anabis looked at Almon surprise "it's your name right?" He added , she nodded "Alright,you can leave" he said again .

Her eyes were widely opened, she was surprised. When a king usually gave a punishment he never changed it but now a king change his mind , she looked at April, and all this is due to April , the action she did . Anabis then smiled .

"But Dad!! You...." Katherina has stopped her phrase when her sister touched her . Katherina stayed quite but was displeased.

April on the other way was relieved because if Almon didn't changed his decision,she would have being forced to lick the broken pieces and hurt herself. She finally stood up, then Edward hold her hand almost dragging her to get out.

They arrived in their quarter and they entered in the room of Edward. April sat on the sofa near the window, Edward remove his coat put it on coat rack and started to unbutton his shirt, April blushed and looked away. Looking at her reaction Edward smirked "Are you embarrassed?" He asked with mischievous smirked. "No" she said simply still looking away

"If you're acting this way just because I'm unbuttoning my shirt what would happened if you see me naked" he said shamelessly . Hearing those words April gulped .

"You're my wife you don't have to look away when I'm doing this" he said but April was silent "you have to ogle me" he added but still the girl was silent

<<what a shameless man>> she thought

Edward left his shirt half opened,his well built torso was seen.

"Why did you intervene?" April asked

"Huh?"

"Why did you intervene during the dinner?" She repeated

"I shouldn't?" He asked

"Not that but I'm just curious to know " she replied

Edward approaches her then hold her chin,he smirked "I didn't wanted those lips of mine be hurt " he said mischievously , April blushed hard <<lips of mine>> she thought repeating his words

"Those lips that I have never tasted " he said approaching even more closer , blushing even more but then he stopped and moved back "but I don't want to receive another slap from you again " he said with a smile .

April thought of the time she slapped him when he approached her like that,she smiled.

Edward laid on the bed and patted the bed "Sleep with me tonight " he said

"What??!!!!!" She exclaimed herself

"It's an order" he said "don't worry nothing will happened " he added

She went near to the bed and climbed on it

"You will sleep with this uncomfortable dress?" He asked

"Y....ye...yess" she stammered

She laid on the bed, laying on her back like a wax statue looking the roof ,Edward put his right arm on her holding her and his right leg on her too. She blushed and was embarrassed <<what does he thinks? , that I'm stuffed toy?>> she thought wondering. She then turn her head to his direction, he was already sleeping deeply , <<he must be very tired, working every day >> she thought again . She admired his face , "What a handsome man" she said .

The next day,very early , Edward opened his eyes, as usual he was breathless and sweating due to his nightmare. He hold his chest and pressed it.

He noticed a presence on his bed and looked on the bed ,he saw April sleeping comfortably despite her uncomfortable dress "atleast,one slept well" he said looking at her amused by the way she is sleeping .

He touches her long soft brown hairs ,caressing her pink lower lip then going to her jaw caressing this soft skin "If you really knew in the type of place you have fallen ,you will not sleep So serenely " he said .

Then Edward get up from the bed,his face was pale again. The maids have prepared the bathtub for him to bath .He finished bathing,his servant help him to dressed and he went to another kingdom for work.

April woke up from bed,she slept like a baby.The bed of Edward was even more comfortable than hers. She noticed that Edward wasn't there but she saw a small paper on the bed they was a message on it (Good morning my savage doe. I will be absent all the journey but don't worry this night I will not let you go anywhere ).

<<this shameless prince,I hope he had no insane ideas in mind >> she thought a little worried thinking of what he would do tonight.

She removed her dress which very uncomfortable and was now half naked.Anabis entered ,surprise of seeing April almost half naked "I'm sorry my lady ,I was suppose to knocked first" she said embarrassed "You must have spend a torrid night and even day " she added .She had never seen April half naked when entering in the room so seeing her half naked ,she thought that April and Edward had a passionate moment.

April then looked at herself and then she understood what Anabis meant by a torrid night "oh no no!! It's not what

you think" she immediately replied embarrassed

"My lady it's normal for a young couple like you to have sex in the morning ,don't be ashamed " she smiled

"Anabis,no it's not that...I just..." She try to explain but Anabis interrupted her

"I don't need an explanation your highness " she said smiling

They was now no way to convince Anabis that nothing has happened,she just abandoned the idea of explaining herself.

Anabis had finished to prepared April ,she was brushing her hair

"Thank you" Anabis said softly with a smile . April looked at Anabis on the mirror "Why are you thanking me?" She wondered

"You took my defense yesterday" she added

"No need of thanking.A normal human being would have done the same" April replied .Anabis then smiled .

Some noise was heard from outside

"Why is there too much noise outside " April asked

"Preparation for the ball my lady" Anabis replied "The party for your honor, it's in 2 days " she added
