72 Nearly there

"It's…it's beautiful!"

T-Rex was left awestruck by the brilliance of Vasari's eyes.

One eye was a compelling mixture of beautiful cyan and ominous dark purple while the other was an enchanting combination of metallic gold and royal blue. On any other person, the colour combinations would look absolutely ridiculous, but on Vasari, it just fits so well. It was like a match made in heaven.

The throne and the rocky walls of the room was the first thing that appeared in Vasari's peripheral view. When he looked down slightly, he saw the figure of a man kneeling and staring up at him with almost unbearable reverence.

Even though T-Rex was only the second person Vasari has ever seen, Vasari knew that T-Rex would be considered a good-looking man. He had tight muscular facial features and short brown hair the same colour as his eyes. T-Rex had an untrimmed stubble that made his Jaw look wider and fuller while also adding a mature charm to his face.

"My- Your Majesty, how is this possible?! The Eyes of Supreme Destruction and the Eyes of Boundless Creation are completely contrary to one another, how is it possible for one person to wield both at the same time?!"

The disbelief and confusion were not only clear in his voice but on his face as well. Vasari was like a curious child watching his facial expressions. He trained himself to differentiate emotions through tones, but seeing these emotions displayed on a human face was very new to him.

"If you're asking me then who should I be asking?" Vasari chuckled before remembering something, "What about the trials you mentioned before? Where do I do those?"

"Your Majesty…" T-Rex didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Surely he knew by now that there were no trials set up, but he quickly thought of something to keep him busy while also helping his cultivation.

"Your Majesty, although I do not have any trials, I do have some techniques you told me to keep for you in the past."

T-Rex brandished his hand and a few scrolls appeared floating in front of him. Vasari grabbed one at random and opened it without much fanfare.

"Savage Spartan Sabre Art. Peak Divine grade martial cultivation technique."

"Yes, this technique is not just for sabres it could also be slightly modified to cater to sword users. It's a technique that embodies simple yet precise movements meant to swiftly kill your opponent. It's a very good sabre/ sword technique that only those in the upper echelons of the army could learn."

T-Rex explained and Vasari nodded in understanding. This was a technique he needed since he lacked a martial technique for his weapon. He then grabbed another scroll before opening it and reading the name out loud.

Vasari was thankful that his Nana taught him how to read even though he was blind. Although his reading wasn't perfect, he could at least make out most words.

"Nine Yin Dragon Claw. Low Celestial grade martial technique."

"This technique was a gift given to you by the Princess of the Imperial Dragon Clan on your 18th birthday. You entrusted this technique to me for safekeeping. I haven't learnt anything about this technique but you once told me that it focuses on subduing enemies and its moves are ephemeral yet rigid, gentle yet rough."

This was the second time hearing about the Princess of the Imperial Dragon clan. He wondered how she felt about his previous self. If she really loved him or not, considering her clan had waged war against him and his people, he doubted it.

Putting those thoughts aside he picked up another scroll, which was also the last one remaining.

"Chaos Void" Vasari stared at this scroll with a confused look on his face. Only the words Chaos Void was written on the scroll, leaving the rest fully blank. Vasari turned to T-Rex for answers.

"Ah, this technique…this technique is something you spent most of your time inventing and developing in your past life. You often neglected your cultivation to continue working on this technique. The only thing you mentioned about it was that it had something to do with your Physique and how it could bring out its full potential."

Vasari nodded with an enlightened expression and put the three techniques into his right eye's inner world. With his remaining few minutes of vision, Vasari decided to go through the Savage Spartan Sabre Art first.

He quickly read over the contents as fast as he could before he was forced to once again seal his eyes.

"Do you have any more techniques, artefacts or alchemical products that you don't need? Perhaps lower-grade ones?" Vasari asked, he planned to use these items as rewards for those outside.

"I do, but what do you need it for, Your Majesty?"

Vasari went on to explain why he was on this planet in the first place and the mission given to him by the Cloud Haven Sect. T-Rex was far from happy to hear about Vasari being forced to do something but kept it bottled inside. He would remember their actions in the future.

After hearing about the mission details, T-Rex had a general idea of what Vasari planned to do.

"I see, so you want me to create trials and use these items as rewards? Almost as if I was creating a legacy tomb I would leave behind for future generations?"

"Yes, something like that. It will give me enough time to contact the Cloud Haven Sect as well as give Joanna and her members something before they have to leave, while also leaving some items for the Cloud Haven Sect. It's a Win-Win situation. I get the cloud points plus the rewards and I make my woman happy."

"Your Majesty truly thinks ahead. Then I will begin to set up the trials while Your Majesty learns the techniques. Oh…I forgot to tell you earlier, but the Mananet interference arrays that those from that Church set up around the planet don't work inside my castle."

A bright smile lit up Vasari's face after hearing this amazing news. With no Mananet interference, he could receive and send messages on his ManaPhone. He immediately took it out of his spatial ring and switched it on.

*Ping!* *Ping!* *Ping!* *Ping!* *Ping!* *Ping!* *Ping!* *Ping!*

Notifications constantly rang out from his ManaPhone that the girls gifted him before leaving.

The non-stop ringing was actually frightening and made his right eyebrow twitch.

"Your Majesty seems to be quite popular."

"Ahem, I think I'll rather check it out later."

"Then I will take my leave, Your Majesty. If Your Majesty needs anything all you have to do is call my name."

Vasari nodded and T-Rex disappeared from the spot, he was going to have his hands full for a while with creating and constructing trials. But he didn't mind it one bit since it was a direct order from his master.

"Let's do this…" While T-Rex was busy, Vasari began learning the Savage Spartan Sabre Art.

"My first Divine grade technique and it's a peak rank one too. I wonder how long it would take me to learn it completely."

–––––

A year later.

"Phew, that's the 3rd move perfected, I'll take a small break before moving on to the 4th move."

Vasari wiped the sweat running down his forehead and his grip slightly loosened on the hilt of his spirit-grade sword.

It had taken him an entire year to learn the first three moves of the Savage Sabre Art. It was safe to say that he was not expecting it to take so long and be so difficult to learn. It was no wonder only those high-echelon army members were permitted to learn it.

Vasari was now 17 years of age and had grown 10 centimetres reaching a height of 210cm (6ft9) tall.

During this time, Vasari not only spent his time learning the Savage Spartan Sabre Art but also steadily advancing his cultivation. Now and then, he would call T-Rex to ask for some cultivation tips. Since he didn't have Miss Covington to answer his questions, he asked the 12th Spartan General instead.

He could feel himself getting closer to the next stage, the Qi Conversion stage.

The Qi Conversation stage and the Mana Body stage were one stage split into two. Similar to breaking through into the Supreme Qi stage, one had to learn how to feel and interact with Mana. However, the process was fundamentally different in the way that a cultivator had to comprehend the intricacies of Mana and what it means to the world around them. Every cultivator has a different interpretation and understanding of what Mana is, so this made it a natural barrier that impeded and sometimes completely halted the less talented or unmotivated people on their cultivation journey.

"Mana huh…I'm getting close"

Progressing to the Mana Body Stage not only meant a huge increase in physical power and improved techniques, but it also meant he could use his eyes more freely than before.

It was a crucial milestone and he hoped to reach it soon.

*Swoosh*

Just then, a gentle breeze brushed past Vasari's cheeks and a man clad in dented and worn-out bronze armour appeared kneeling behind Vasari. His clear brown eyes trained on the ground, not daring to look up.

"Your Majesty, all the trials have been set up and are ready for use. 100 trials with rewards ranging from Earth and Heaven grade artefacts, Rare to Heaven grade Cultivation Techniques and Rank 5 to Rank 7 alchemic products. Of course, I've kept all the good stuff for you and your women, my Lord."

"Thank you. You did well, T-Rex." Vasari smiled gratefully. He was glad that his first real mission had nearly come to a close.

"Your Majesty, there's no need to thank me. My life is yours to command.", Although saying this, T-Rex had a massive grin on his face that he struggled to hide. His heart pained at the thought of giving away so many items and products he had collected from his time on the battlefield, but being complimented by his 'God' made up for it a hundred times over.

"So…let's get a move on."
