"You know what Keith did the other day?" Ethan broke through their conversation and continued to explain his kid's disasters. I didn't have to listen to them anymore and I couldn't thank my Beta enough for it.
Post dinner, I didn't rush out as I did the last two times. I sat down with dad for a while and then joined my brothers and my mate. They were startled and acted weird in the beginning but I could see how happy they were to have me back. I had in my sorrow created a barrier between my brothers and myself that I have to slowly fix now.
"......there something?" I caught the last bit of her words directed at me as she ran her hand over her face.
I frowned and then realised that I was staring again.
"What?" I asked.
"Is there something on my face?" She repeated.
