Chapter 3: the ceremony
I went downstairs and saw my parents at the door waiting for me "Time to go now" my mom said as she opened the door bringing in a blinding light in the once dark house.
I blinked a few times befor following suite, being careful to act like everything's alright, The outside was louder then usual as everyone came to get at chance for there child to become a 'hero', but since we lived in a small town it wasn't that big of a crowd, just around like 50 people or so.
Me and my parents went up to the crowd and waited for the ceremony to comence, as all that needed to happen was the capital to arrive.
Around 20 minutes later people could see a carriage coming made of wood and had a golden outline to show its presence of an important thing, as it came closer the sound of the houses feat kept getting older and louder, until they stope, a few feet away from the crowd and 3 people came out.
2 of the people were wearing a nice sky blue shirt along with some black pants and shoes,they both have the same face so they are probably twins I thought. While the other was wearing a white a yellow robe with a cross hat signifying the Pope, he was very fit surprisingly as he was a healer but I questioned it none the less.
"WELCOME ALL TO THE DAY OF AWAKENING "the two blue shorted men shouted in perfect sinq.
'As some of u might know I'm kai, blessed by the god of sea posseidon ' one of the men said and stepped forward. 'And I'm jake, blessed also by the posseidon, Also if u didn't get it yet were twins'.
"And I am remedies, blessed by apollo with his healing, but u can call me remedi".
Today as u all know, we will see which one of you will become a hero, but to be honest it's probably none of you's, but we can never be to sure" remedi said as he looked at every wone with a smirk that said "I'm better then you's. Somewone seemed like he was going to say something from the crowd but stopped befor he even started.
"now without further ado let's comence the ceremony, now how we will do this is we will choose one person at a time, we will be giving u this orb" as he pulled out a pitch black orb "and if you are blessed the color will change, or in some cases will be surrounded in the color or element depending on how strong your capabilities are, now who is first"
"Me" a voice came from the crowd as a kid a few inches taller then me, wearing the same clothes as me, brown shirt and pants but with the exception he had wooly shoes l, red hair to my black and had dark blue eyes to my dark red, and would u know it is the hot head Tyler. my bully.
"ou a feisty one hear folks, well come on then boy let's see if your worth" "Of corse I'm worthy, not like the rest of these scrubs, once again someone from the crowd was going to say something but stopped, almost as if a invisible force had shut him up.
And so Tyler went up to the priest and took the orb from the priest's hand, holding it up to him.He closed his eyes and the orb changed, it was no longer black but a fiery color of orange and yello with some sparks coming of the orb, When he opened his eyes he smirked and said" told ya losers".
"Well done lad, it seams you are the blessed by the god of the underworld hades" And then gasps came from everyone, but not because hades was a evil god but because, hades was one of the most powerful gods and those blessed by him were set for life and would go straight to the academy of the blessed with no tests at all.
Tyler was escorted to the carriage by the men and the next person went up.
