A Conversation With The Spy
It took a while until someone finally spoke up, as everyone looked around, the fact that one of them has killed Sayaka slowly starting to seep in, as they eyed everyone else with suspicion until Jason said:
"I don't know about you guys, but I haven't eaten breakfast yet, so I'll go and do exactly that" Jason said and started to go towards the exit, but then, Aoi said:
"How can you even think about food!? Someone is dead!"
"It doesn't change the fact that I haven't eaten since I woke up. Besides, if you let what happened to prevent you from getting hungry, you're letting that bear win. Remember what he said? He wants us to feel despair. If you'll get desperate every time something happens here, the bear will get what he wants. Instead of getting desperate, think of bringing the person who did that to justice. That is the best way you can respect Maizono's death" Jason said while thinking:
'Though, she doesn't even worthy of respect, as she wasn't just an innocent victim...' he thought, and tried to leave, but once again, someone asked him a question. This time, it was Kyoko:
"Is the reason you didn't arrive at the breakfast meeting related to this case?"
"Are you assuming that I'm the culprit? If you do, then drop that thought. I was the one who said that no one here can perform a murder without getting caught, and I stand behind my word. No matter if the bear showed me some video about my family or not"
"I'm not accusing you of anything. I just wanted to confirm it" Kyoko said while thinking:
'He didn't deny that his absence from the breakfast meeting is related to this case. He only said that he's not the culprit. I'm sure that someone as smart as he thinks before he speaks, which means that he says that his absence IS related to this case, but he's not the culprit. Of course, there is a chance he's lying, but that is something which its answer will reveal itself during the investigation'
"Is anyone else wants to say something to me, before I leave? I might as well ask you, instead of start leaving, only to be stopped again"
"I'm coming with you. I don't have anything else to do, so I'll make you prepare breakfast for me. You were the one who offered that I won't do anything, so you have to take responsibility" said (fake) Junko and walked to stand next to Jason
"You know I saved your life, right?"
"Whatever, don't sweat the small stuff!"
"Fine. I guess that you can keep me company as I eat" Jason said, and the two left the gym
After he prepared breakfast for both of them, Jason took out his chessboard and pieces from the suitcase.
"Do you play?" Jason asked (fake) Junko
"It's too lame" answered (fake) Junko
"It's not like you have anything else to do"
"...Fine. I guess I can play your little game" (fake) Junko said, and the two began their match.
As the match progressed, Jason took out his e-handbook, to see what Monokuma added. First, he read the rule that was added:
Rule No. 8: Once a murder takes place, a class trial will begin shortly after. Participation is mandatory for all surviving students. If the guilty party is exposed during the class trial, they alone will be executed. If the guilty party is not exposed, they alone will graduate, and all remaining students will be executed.
Then, he proceeded to the Notes function, where a new file was added:
The Monokuma File No. 1: The victim was Sayaka Maizono. The time of death was around 1:30 AM. The body was found in Makoto Naegi's private room in the dormitory area. The victim was killed in the room's bathroom. The cause of death is a wound to the stomach area made by a sharp object. Other than that, there are traces of a blow to her right wrist. In addition to the traces, her right wrist's bone is broken"
After he finished reading it, Jason won the match. Then, Jason took the memo pad, which he placed inside his suitcase in the morning, out of the suitcase, wrote something, and then showed it to (fake) Junko:
"I know that you're working for the mastermind. Don't bother to deny it. From now on, you'll only write your answers to me on the memo pad.
If you'll try to deny it, I'll tell everyone that you're a spy, and, as someone who is working with the mastermind to make us feel despair, I'm sure that you know what people in despair are capable of doing to you. They may not kill you, but there are worse things than death. If you won't answer my questions, I'll also expose you. You have only one chance to come clean"
(fake) Junko's eyes widen for a moment, then she looked into Jason's eyes, and then back to the memo pad. Eventually, she wrote something and showed it to Jason.
(From now on, all of the conversation is written on the memo pad)
(fake) Junko - "You have evidence, or you're just enjoying blaming me?"
Jason - "Of course I do. I won't blame you for no reason. I won't ask again. Are you willing to come clean?"

(fake) Junko - "What do you want?"
Jason - "I want to ask you a question. What was the purpose of that little act you did in the gym, and what would have happened if I didn't save you?"
(fake) Junko - "We wanted to show that we are serious about the rules, so I would've got a "punishment", of getting isolated from the rest, while in real-time, I would just help the mastermind from the shadows"
Jason - "You're an idiot. You said the mastermind wanted to show that their serious about the rules, but what better way to do it, than kill someone in front of our eyes? Someone that, as I'm sure the mastermind has noticed, I've been suspecting from the very first day? That way, they'll kill two birds with one stone"
(fake) Junko - "There is no way they'll do that"
Jason - "Is that so? Tell me, did the mastermind ever expressed care towards you? I doubt that a person who is forcing high school students to kill each other did"

Jason - "The fact that you're not answering gives me all the answers I need. If they don't care for you, why wouldn't they sacrifice you? Why are you working for someone who you know that don't care for you, and won't have any problem with sacrificing you?"
(fake) Junko - "They are someone important to me"
Jason - "That's even worse. It means that they're just using your care for them against you. And if they're doing that, are they worth being important to you?"

(fake) Junko - " Just tell me what you want already"
Jason - "It's pretty simple. I want you to switch sides, or at the very least, give me some information. If you'll switch sides, or give me sufficient information, I don't have a problem of overlooking your connection to the mastermind. Of course, if you refuse, I'll tell the others about you"
