Blood, death and another chance. Three simple words, yet you already know where I'm going with this. Join me and together we will explore this great omniverse while gaining wondrous, new abilities and taking what we wish. We will encounter setbacks, achieve stunning victories and wage great wars. We will grow strong enough to laugh in the face of chaos and spit on the shoes of gods. You know you want to, just join me. ~~~~~~ This is slow paced, so if that bothers anyone, this is your cue to leave. Warning: Graphic descriptions of gore and violence. Mature language will be used throughout. If I decide to add anything else, I'll add it to here later.

Magic and Its Consequences

My vision blurred and I was back on the bus and wave of exhaustion hit me like a truck. "Ughh," that took a lot of energy, I'll have to be careful when using that ability in the future. That energy usage is a far cry from the basic spells I already knew. Before, I didn't even notice the missing energy, but Foresight just completely drained me.

That was weird, I thought seers were never aware of their visions or prophecies in the Potterverse. Maybe this isn't the original Potterverse, like a spinoff? Or it could be reality filling in the gaps of a fictional story. Either way, there's one person aware of me now.

Judging by where the storyline is at, Luna should either be imprisoned or about to be imprisoned by death eaters. Should I help her? Nah, even in the story she's rescued by Harry and his friends, so I shouldn't get involved.

Now that I think about it, how am I going to complete my quests. My greatest ability is summoning some lizardmen which aren't going to do jack-shit when Voldy and his squad can just chain cast the killing curse.

So for now straight-up firefights are off the table. Should I try to assassinate them? Am I even strong enough to kill them? No, as much as it pains me, I'm weak. If I start hunting down death eaters, I'll probably only off a few mobs before I get curb-stomped by Voldy and his cadre.

So far, the only way I know to get stronger is by spending SP. Wait, didn't the help menu say before that stats can be increased naturally up to a certain extent. System, show me my stats.

So the system was telling the truth. This could be useful, but I'd honestly prefer to just complete quests because it seems like I'd power up faster. Wait, my race... it changed. I'm part Slann? I've had the perk for a while now, why is it just now changing my race?

I felt goosebumps crawl up my neck and arms... no, it couldn't be. There's no way it was the foresight skill right? What will happen if I keep speccing into the Slann tree? Will I turn into a toad? Maybe I should be treating this situation with some caution.

I rubbed my hands across my arms, a nervous habit of mine when I realized something very unsettling. My skin didn't feel like skin. It had a rubbery texture that reminded me of a time in the past when my friends and I went on a camping trip and found a frog. It pissed on my hand, but I got a feel for what an amphibian feels like. My skin felt like that, but not wet which makes zero sense, yet it's the best way I can describe the current texture of my skin.

In shock, I idly glanced out the window and got another shock when I saw my reflection. My eyes. They're different. What used to be a pair of hazel brown eyes were now a pair of electric yellow eyes with reptilian slits that seemed to emanate energy. What do I do? As strangely cool as they look, they're even more conspicuous. Do I have to wear sunglasses? I should be fine if I just remain out of the spotlight and avoid direct eye contact.

Whatever, this day has somehow been more of a shock than yesterday and I need a long fucking nap. As soon as I closed my eyes, I felt my exhaustion double and I fell unconscious.

~Some time later~

Feeling my body being moved, I groaned and slowly opened my eyes. I stretched, yawned and licked my lips before I turned to look at the one who woke me. It was the bus driver and he didn't look amused with having to wake me up.

"We're here kid."

"Thanks."

Not minding my terse response, he went back to the driver's seat and started preparing to drive back to wherever he came from. When I got off the bus I noticed two things, one was the fact that it was night and the other was that the people living here didn't seem to even recognize that it was night.

The city looked as bustling as ever with car after car driving through the streets, crowds shuffling down the streets in groups, laughing and chatting with each other. Seeing these people enjoying each other's company sent a pang of envy through me which I quickly suppressed.

Not now, I have more important things to attend to. I don't know about here, but it was pretty much impossible to walk into a hotel and book a room on the spot and even more unlikely when you're in a famous city. Maybe I can just sleep at the train station. I'll try the magic part, as far as I know they only use it when they ship kids off to Hogwarts, so it should be abandoned.

Luckily for me, the bus station was just a few blocks down from Kings Cross Station, so I just took a quick walk down there. As I passed by the crowds of people, I got some odd looks which again, was understandable because I'd been wearing the same clothes for a few days and was probably starting to smell.

Taking a quick sniff of my shirt, yep, it was probably the smell. "Sigh," I really want a shower. I finally reached Kings Cross Station and strolled right in past the suspicious security guard who I promptly ignored.

I strolled past station after station until I reached station nine. Feeling my heartbeat racing, I walked up to the third column in-between station nine and ten and walked toward it with my hand outstretched just in case it didn't open. Imagine my disappointment when the only thing that happened was a meaty slap as my hand smacked into the hard marble pillar.

Of course they'd close the portal outside of scheduled hours. I'd always thought that the ministry was completely incompetent, but it might've been just Rowling. There's no way that a magical organization could've remained hidden for so long while being so utterly incompetent.

How should I do this? Cast a spell at it? No, I could accidentally destroy the spell holding that space together. What if I try to channel raw energy at it, hoping to trigger the spell? According to my self-proclaimed master of magic instincts, the answer was yes.

What did it feel like when I casted spells? If I try to recreate the feeling, I might be able to pour out some of my energy. The feeling I had when I used the Foresight skill was that of feeling a cold sensation crawl across my eyes. If the cold sensation was energy, then I'll try and make it go over my hands and touch the pillar.

I soon found that it was easier said than done as no matter how hard I concentrated, the energy wouldn't budge. I'd managed to find the energy inside of me through continuously focusing, but getting it to move was another matter entirely.

Feeling my frustration reaching a tipping point, I grunted and quietly shouted, "C'mon you stupid energy, move already!"

As if a dam broke inside me, the energy flowed from my chest to hands in an outburst. As the energy flooded into the pillar, it became intangible and I fell through the pillar.

Hey guys, chapter's out a little bit later today, but it's finally here. Btw could you guys reccomend me some music to listen to while writing for y'all. I usually listen to pop/rock songs and I'm from the states if you know anything good. As usual, add this book to your collection and leave a comment if you enjoyed it.
