As long as you’re happy
As Sara woke up she felt warmth next to her but no body to claim it. She sighed as she got out of bed to see Sean sitting on the couch. She looked at him before her eyes turned icy blue, "Who did it?" Sean looked at the woman before responding, "What do you mean?" Sara knowing what he was trying to do, walked over and snatched the paper out of his hands, "I'll ask only once more, who did it?" Sean folded his hands in his lap looking up at the woman who was clearly angry but he thought she looked adorable. "The investigation is still ongoing" he replied before reaching out for his paper, however his hand was swatted away as he was shoved back into the couch. "Don't give me that BS. Who did this!" The icy voice coming from Sara even shocked Sean, however he quickly recovered. "Honey I still don't know. The intel coming in still isn't complete. The area where we parked was off camera and where the car was left and the building did not have cameras. So it's taking longer than usual." Sara glanced at the man, not realizing that she was leaning over him on the couch. Then she heard him say,"now I know many better things we could do especially in this position."
Sara's face turned scarlet as she realized his words and her position. She quickly got off of him before she spat out,"Shamless" before running to the bathroom, causing Sean to break out in laughter. He walked over to the door knocking on it. "I'm not speaking to you anymore!!" Sara yelled. Chuckling Sean said, "then can I have my paper back then?" The bathroom door opened, for the paper to be flung at his face, before slamming shut causing Sean to laugh even harder.
Walking out of the room, a woman was standing there wearing a rose pink shirt and blue jeans. Sean initial ignored her but then turned back around looking at her clothes, "If I recall the proper uniform is white shirt and black pants." The woman nodded as she responded, "yesterday Madam told us to change the shirts to rose pink during the week and lavender purple on weekends. Also that we should wear jeans instead if we find them more comfortable." Sean glanced at the woman before turning around saying as he left, "As she wishes." His words shocked the maid who was surprised he let this matter go. Sean had always been adamant at how his staff dressed, and here he was changing his mind for her. Little did Sean know that his words had set off a wild fire of gossip throughout the house with the staff.
When Sara finally walked out of the bedroom she was immediately swarmed by the lady who was waiting outside the room. "Madam is there anything you need?" Sara jumped at the woman's sudden appearance before softly responding, "nothing at all thank you." Smiling Sara walked away not knowing that even though Sean carried the big wallet, she was the big thigh that all the staff wanted to hug now. Walking downstairs she looked around for Sean before she asked someone. She immediately headed to the study where she was told he was. Knocking on the door she heard the icy voice allow entry. Sara quietly entered to just stand there and stare at the man looking of paperwork. His brows furrowed,pursed lips as he wrote on the document. 'How did this man somehow become more attractive' she thought when suddenly Sean's icy voice rang out "what do you need?"
"Just wondering if you have some time today?" Sean froze hearing Sara's voice. He looked up then looked at the document then back at the her. "Give me an hour then I'm all yours." His voice instantly turned soft and warm as he smiled at her. Sara sat down on the couch by a wall before looking at files that Sean had on the table in front of it. As she browsed the files she froze on one of them. As she grabbed the file she asked Sean, "I thought you had a new CEO so what are you working on?" Sean moved some files before responding, "registering a new company. We need to look at locations soon for your jewelry store in order to finalize everything." Sara froze, "I thought you would forget about that." She softly said. Sean set the pen down looking over at her, "Do you want me to forget about?" Sara shook her head, before Sean continued, "Remember if you find something important then it becomes my priority. So if you don't want this then I'll forget about it." Sara shook her head before responding, "I didn't mean that I was hoping you would forget about it. I just didn't think you would remember that I mentioned it." Sean stood up before walking over and grabbing on of her hands.
"Sara, you mentioned it and I want to make you happy. That's all that matters. If you want to run a jewelry company or a trade empire it doesn't matter. As long as you're happy."
Sara's could feel her eyes turn misty at Sean's words. The warmth from his hand spread through her body as she looked at the man in front of her. "Where did I find you. I must have saved the world in a previous life to get you." Sean chuckled before responding, "I know I'm great. I'm handsome, charming and rich."
"Tsk such a narcissist." Sara said as she shoved his hand away smiling. Sean looked at her smiling, then walked back to his desk, before saying, "are we going somewhere today or staying at the house." Sara walked over to the door before saying, "I want to take you somewhere and you only have 10 minutes now." Then she disappeared.
Sean looked at the door before he pulled our his phone and in an icy voice instructed, "She's getting too nosy. We must be careful in the future." After a brief pause he continued, "she saw the file about Morgan Jewelries. I don't know how much she actually read but we need to secure the company before anything happens." After Sean hung up he walked towards the door to see Sara pop her head back in, "cmon let's go" Sean looked at the woman who's smile was beaming. He chuckled before embracing her and walking to the car.
