Chapter 6: No Calls
AT LUMINOUS CORP
Since morning the weather at luminous Corp has been very calm for the employees, because today THE Devil CEO came in with a smile on his instead of his usual cold look that sent everyone into a frenzy. His handsome coupled with a charming smile on his face the female employees couldn't help but ogle at him whiles most the employees prayed that everyday their CEO should be in a good mood so that they can work peacefully.

CEO's Office
The CEOs Assistant has been wondering what made his bosses day that he is in a good mood, no scolding, no firing, no cancellation of deals / project, no employees run here and there. Wow today is best day of his life since he started working here 4 years ago. He just entered the his bosses office to find him , could it be he thought he was hallucinating his boss. The feared devil CEO is actually daydreaming during working hours.

Brian had to clear his throat a few times before his boss snapped back to reality.
"Sir, this is the contract with Hallow Enterprise for the project X"
Brian said as he pointed out the places that needed his signature.
His boss just nodded sign the papers, Brian decided to ask his boss the source of his happiness and the reply he got put a smile on his
"Sir may I know the reason for your happiness"
Thiago glanced at him and said "Soon you are going to get a new Madam"
"That's wonderful news Sir, I wish you good luck"
Thiago just nodded
When Brian was about to leave he remembered and another important reason for his trip to the CEOs office.
"Uhm Sir, I just received news that some unknown assassins tried to infiltrate our base in New York Sir, They killed a total of 15 of our men but they were caught and have been locked up in the base but they still refuse to cooperate with our men."Brian said seriously
A frown appeared on Thiago's face when he heard the news
"How did they locate the base" asked angrily
"It's still unknown Sir" Brian replied
"Get the private jet ready we are heading to New York this instant" Thiago said as he stood up and left the office.
Brian nodded and left his bosses office to prepare for the journey ahead.

MEGA CORPORATION ( Noon)
Rachel was going out of her office for lunch when Isabella told her that her mother is to see her . Hearing that her mother was surprised Rachel because her Mother was usually busy handling their Family Restaurant (Divine Restaurant) That is ranked in the Top best 5 restaurants in Silverado. And her mom has been busy lately.
"Mom what a surprise what are you doing here"Rachel exclaimed as she hugged mother
"What do you mean by what am I doing here, can't I visit my precious daughter at work" Aline Roberts asked with a big smile on her never aging beautiful face. Aline Roberts shares some similarities with both her daughter's especially Rachel, they both shared the same Raven black hair , Ice blue eyes, Rosy fair skin and Diamond shaped face.
They both decided to have lunch together at a nearby restaurant that isn't far from Rachel's work place. They chose a table at the corner that also had a good view. They ordered their food and whiles they waited they talked about some stuff and Aline asked her daughter "So how's your relationship with Diego"
With her mother suddenly asking this question. Rachel told her mother everything that happened within the last few days. After she was done , she expected her home to angry at her.
"I will not say am not angry or pleased with what happened, That boy took after that mother of his but all what I can tell you is forget about that baboon called Diego" I chuckled hearing mom say that.
" If he tries to do anything tell me. And give that Thiago guy a chance since he is trying to take responsibility I think it might be fate that brought him to you. So take your time and if you end up falling in love with him and he reciprocates it, he's all yours " My mom said as she clasped both of my hands.
" Thank you Mom, You always know what to say at every situation."Rachel said as she took a tissue to wipe her tears of joy .
At that very moment the waitress brought their food. Rachel ordered for Spaghetti with meat balls whiles Aline ordered for Fried rice with Chicken.
After having lunch with her mother. Rachel bid her good bye and promised to visit Both her and her Father.
When Rachel entered her office, She found Penelope sitting on the couch with her hands crossed in front of her chest with an 'I'm not happy face ' .
"Why didn't you come and call me to have lunch, I was busy with some paperwork's girl" Penelope whined
" Sorry Penny, my mom came to visit" I explained
"Aunty came to visit that's wonderful news so did you tell her"
"Yeah and now I feel like some weight just left my shoulders." Rachel said as she sat down
" Ok so how far with your Greek God , Thiago right"Penelope asked with a raised brow
"Well speaking of which, today he hasn't called me"Rachel said
"Really No calls" Penelope asked
"Yh, No calls at all" Rachel replied
"Why don't you call him instead" Penelope said
Rachel took her phone and dialed Thiago's number which she had saved when he called the second time"
Ring!!
Ring!!
Ring!!
Number you are trying to call, cannot be reached pls call back later
"He is not picking up " Rachel exclaimed
"Maybe he is busy making money for your future wedding, don't worry am sure when he sees your call. He will call you back"
What Penelope said made me relax a bit

In the first chapter the city that the characters were was Ciudad de Mexico (Mexico City) but I changed it for some reasons so new name for the city is Silverado.
