Chapter 17: First Kiss

Rachel was admiring the view when Thiago placed a suit jacket on her shoulders. "The weather out here is a bit chill you might catch a cold ". Thiago said.

He snaked his arms around her waist and hugged her from behind.

Rachel just melted in his embrace and they both stood there admiring how brilliant the city looked from above.

As the cold wind blew past them Rachel said "Thiago"

"Hmm"

"Is it because of what happened between us that night, that you decided to date me. Are you just dating me because you want to take responsibility " Rachel asked calmly.

She has been thinking about it since they left the bar. Rachel wants to know if he is just seeing her as a woman, who he had a one-night stand with and is just taking responsibility for his actions.

"Why are you asking" Thiago asked with a smirk on his face that Rachel didn't see.

"I don't want to get hurt for the second time, " Rachel replied and turned to face him. " Do you think of as the woman you accidentally slept -"

Thiago sealed her lips before she could complete her sentence. The kiss was a slow and short one. Before Thiago released her.

"This is my answer to your question" Thiago said as he creased her face gently.

"I honestly felt something for you the first time I set my eyes on you. So never think of yourself that am taking responsibility for what happened. I'm just being practical here. I like you that's why I asked you to date me" Thiago said leaving Rachel flustered.

" You... mean you like me " Rachel asked him with surprise written on her face.

"Silly" Thiago flicked her forehead " if I didn't like you why would I bother to contact you and even ask you on a date"

Thiago said

"Oh yeah"

" I thought you were a smart person since you work for such a big company but I guess I was wrong" Thiago said cressing her face.

"Wait, I am smart it's just ..uhm..."Rachel couldn't find the right words to say.

"Oh " Thiago raised his eyebrow "So you are not dumb" Thiago asked with a grin on his face.

"Of course not"Rachel said refuting his words.

*Hahaha Moonshine you look cute when you are flustered" Thiago suddenly commented looking straight into her eyes only for a blush to creep up her face.

"You told me going tell me why you call me Moonshine "Rachel asked him.

"And I also remember you saying you are going to give me a nickname." Thiago also asked with a smirk on his face.

" No you tell me first " Rachel replied shyly as she remembered how she boldly texted that sentence.

Thiago placed his hands on her her shoulders and turned her around.

" Now look at the moon in the sky" Thiago asked her

" What is doing the moon doing"

"It Light's up the world during nighttime "Rachel replied

"And now you have got the answer, Let's go it's getting late" Thiago said

Rachel forehead creased in confusion. ' What does he mean I'hve got the answer ' Rachel thought

Rachel looked at his face clueless.

"You will understand when the time is right." Thiago replied.

" It's getting late let me drop you home"

Rachel nodded as him as he guided her towards his car.

On their way back to her place. Rachel made Thiago stop infront of Ice cream shop. Rachel bought her favorite flavors which is Strawberry and Vanilla. Whiles Thiago asked Rachel to choose for him. Rachel thought for a while and chose Coffee and Chocolate chip.

Rachel asked for a medium bowl of vanilla ice cream and coffee ice cream. for each.

" Why do you want us to take them home, and seriously chose Coffee for me"Thiago asked with a raised brow.

"I thought maybe we can eat it when we miss eachother, I will eat mine when I miss you, and the same for you" Rachel said eating her strawberry icecream on a cone.

"And yeah I seriously chose Coffee flavor you. I think u might like it " Rachel said with a huge smile plastered on her face.

Thiago just smiled seeing how adorable she looked. " Ok let's go"

Thiago said starting the engine and Rachel buckled the seat belt.

Kings & Queens Apartment

" Babe it has been two days since you told me that you will have Rachel dealt with. But you have told me if it was successful or not" Petra asked Diego.

"I don't think it was successful" Diego said taking a bit from the pizza.

"What !!! How is that possible" Petra asked with shock written on her face. 'I thought our plan was flawless, point of correction his plan was flawless ' Petra thought.

" One of my friends spotted her a club a few hours ago, she left with some guy" Diego said with a smile

"Why are u smiling, don't tell me .. "

"Of course not. But it looks like she's into one night stands" Diego said

"I will just let my uncle see this photo so that he will not doubt me. If Rachel goes to him to complain."

"But what if her dad informs ur uncle the same way he told mine, that will be very bad for you it could affect your position in the company"Petra said worriedly sitting on his lap.

Diego assured her as he is now the CEO of the company, he has the support of most the shareholders.

Diego carried Petra from his lap to the bedroom.

Petra whined as she reminded him that tomorrow she has an early morning photoshoot. So she was doesn't want to be exhausted.

"Don't worry it's going to be a fast one"
