Alex noticed Dawn's panic and quickly tried to smooth things out with a sheepish smile.

"No! No! Hypothetically! I meant that hypothetically. I'm not saying that's the case. Come on, no matter how evil they are, they can't hurt their child." He said, silently wishing he could clamp his mouth shut.

He had got so used to talking facts with his brothers and board executives that he babbled out those horrific words in Dawn's presence.

Dawn, on the other hand, took a deep breath and nodded in agreement. 

Yes, he was right, no matter how terrible a beast was, it would never hurt its child.

Alex snuggled closer to Dawn and said, "Don't worry, D. I'll get someone to look into your friend's whereabouts. I'm sure she's fine. She must just be busy trying to fish out for the documents and you know it can't be easy doing that without raising suspicion so maybe she's just laying low for now."
