Hearing his voice and what he said ,Mo Xiaye couldn't stop the giggle that erupted from within her.

"Why did you call Ting?" She asked amid giggles.

" Laugh all you want. I just want to know how the discussion with my little princess went? "

" It went well. She agreed to meet with you whenever you're ready....You do realize that she's not so little anymore right? " As soon as the words left her mouth, Mo Xiaye instantly regretted them.

She felt so much guilt; enough to drown a grown man. How could she have been so stupid? Although he might already be coming to terms with knowing about his daughter after so many years,he most definitely hadn't been able to get past that mental barrier of not been able to see his little princess take her first steps or hear her say her first words. Wasn't even able to see her attend school for the first time or attend parent-children meetings and other events.

No matter how good spirited he was on normal days, any man in his shoes would definitely feel some resentment against her in his heart but he had forgiven her willingly and here she was reminding him of what he probably wanted to forget at all cost.

" I'm sorry." She said her voice containing part guilt and part pain.

" No baby you don't have to appologize for anything.I probably won't be the man I am today if you had told me about her and you wouldn't have had to go through the pain of being disowned or through the uncertaintity of raising a child all on your own....hmmph! If...if anything, I should be saying sorry to you for letting you go through all that alone. I can't help but blame myself for not searching for you earlier and when I hear you blaming yourself, the guilt I feel within just intensifies.I love you baby and that means who you are as a person not who you're supposed to be or what you've gone through neither is it as a result of your educational qualifications or what not. I love you and that means when you feel guilty towards me,I'm in pain for letting you feel that. You understand me baby don't you?"

Hearing pour out his heart to her,even though it was through a cell phone,she couldn't help but be emotional. Feeling chocked up, she managed to squeeze out a few words .

" Yes I do. I understand you and I'm sorry for letting you feel that way."

" It's alright baby.There's also no point telling me the content of your discussion over the phone. Just get dressed and I'll pick you up after work so we could visit my parents at the hospital and after that,we'll talk. I'm sorry I forgot to ask if you had anything else planned. So do you?"

"No I do not.Your arrangement is okay with me. I'll see you at six."

"Yeah see you at six. And don't forget I love you."

" alright bye." She said before hanging up the call and then proceeding to fan her face a little to reduce the blush forming.
