67 HER FAULT

THE DAY BEFORE.

"Briana ", he said pure shock in his voice.

Anna could feel her heart breaking into pieces again as Vincenzo let go of her hand.

The smile on Briana's face made her feel like retching. She did not understand how one person could make you mad but every time she saw her all she wanted to do was leave but there was no way she was going to leave.

She was not going to leave Briana with her husband.

"What do you want ?", Anna asked Briana as she rubbed the back of her neck.

"Am I not allowed to come see the father of my baby? I was stressed that something really bad had happened to him, I don't want my kid to grow up without a father", Briana said with a pout on her face.

"We are not sure that kid is his first of all so stop jumping to conclusions ", Anna said trying not to loose her calm.

"I know that you hate me but you need to accept the fact that this kid is his ,I don't want you treating my kid badly because you don't like me ",Briana said as she turned to go sit at the couch .

"Leave I don't want you in here I want to talk to my husband ", Anna said as she saw Briana trying to take a seat .

"I wanted to go do an ultrasound that's why am here ,I want Vincenzo to know.the gender of the baby with me . This is something we should do together ",Briana said as she turned her attention from Anna to look at Vincenzo who had t said a word through their whole conversation.

"You really left your house and came here an thought that this is the best time to do this ?",Anna sked her looking shocked .

She couldn't understand how someone could be that stupid .Vincenzo couldn't even leave bed and she somehow wanted to have an ultrasound with him ?

She had to be joking .

"I asked the doctor and she said that they can bring the machines here and we can do it here",Briana said standing up and walked to the other side of Vincenzo's bed . It took everything in Anna not to shover her outside .

"Get out and go do the ultrasound on your own if you have to do it right now ,he needs to recover first incase you don't see that he is sick ",Anna said .

"Please leave ,I need time alone with my wife ",Vincenzo said and Briana looked at him shocked that he could manage to tell her something like.taht .

She didn't know what she had expected to happen . That maybe he would wake up and all of a sudden he liked her but that was not something that was going to happen .

"We have to talk about the baby ",Briana said as she rubbed her belly .

"I don't want to talk about the baby Briana ,leave all I'll call.the security to come take you out I wouldn't want that so just leave please ",Vincenzo said and this time round Briana left .

"Hey ",Vincenzo said as he took Anna's hand and squeezed it .

"Don't let her get to you , everything is going to be okay ",he told her as she tried to smile at her but the attempt failed .

Anna wasn't thinking about Briana though ,she just stared at her husband and let the tears flow .

"Hey don't cry ",Vincenzo said as he stared at her but she couldn't stop the tears from flowing .

"I was just scared that I was going to loose you ",Anna sniffled as she tried wiping her tears .

"You didn't loose me am here now ain't I ? Am not going anywhere ",Vincenzo said and he could feel an overwhelming feeling in his chest .

It felt like his chest was burning up hit pouring water on himself wasn't going to help him.

All he wanted to do was hug her and pull her closer to him and tell her that everything was going to be okay .

He couldn't face her breaking heart .

She never knew how much she had felt for him until this had happened . The idea of losing him forever had broken her completely that she did not want to stay away from.him even gir a second .

He was her world and without him in it her life would be boring with no meaning .

"I never want to loose you ever . I can't live without you you're my everything ",she said as she looked at him and his little smile brought joy to her heart .

"I was so excited to come home to you ,I knew I wanted to spend the rest of the day with you and then this happened",Vincenzo said chuckling and Anna could feel the pain that he felt just for that little gesture that he had tried to pull .

All she could think in that moment was that things would have gone different if he had t felt the urge to come see her .

He wouldn't have gotten in the crash if he had just gone to meet up with Neegan like he had been asked . Instead he had made the choice to come see her and it had ended badly for him.

"Didn't you have meeting you were supposed to attend ?",she asked him wanting to know why he hadn't gone to meet up with Neegan .

"Yes I had but I had told you that I would make sure you're not alone on your birthday and I failed on it . I didn't want you to be alone . I wanted to be there fir you and fulfil my promise to you ",Vincenzo said squeezing her hand .

"I had seen you though ,you didn't have to come back ",Anna said .

"I know but I wanted to see you and don't think that any of this is your fault . I just wanted to atleast he there for you even if it was once and I still failed at that ",Vincenzo said and Anna could feel the pain in his voice .

" I love you ",Anna said and at that exact moment the door opened revealing Vincenzo's parents .

Anna wondered if they had saved her or had ruined everything .Did she want to know why Vincenzo would say to what she had just said ?

Maybe it was for the best that they ahd come in in that exact moment because what if he didn't feel the same she did ?

It would break her heart and she had enough heartbreaks already so she just smiled at his parents like she hadn't told him she loved him seconds ago .
