64 "YOU DESERVE BETTER "

There were movers everywhere and as Anna stepped out of the car she wondered where they were .

It seemed like the house was being renovated or something . She hadn't seen any of the workers that were working there . She walked towards where Neegan was standing who was smiling hands in his pocket .

"What are we doing here ?",Anna asked him.

"Am going to show you the plantation where I grow poppy ,this is new acquitted land and I wanted to show it to you I understand this are new things to you ",Neegan said as he took a hold of her hand and started walking .

"Is this your ranch ?",she asked him .

It was kind of odd to her that things were being moved co soldering that it was his .

She knew that something was not adding up but she hoped it was not what she was thinking.

"It belonged to Suarez ",Neegan said and didn't explain himself more than that .

.Anna could feel the guilt eating her up . It had been her choice and she had chosen someone else .

She had been the one who had gone looking for Suarez . If she had just ignored his proposal maybe this would never have happened .

She wondered if it was too late for her to say she didn't want any of this .

"You can't keep blaming yourself for the mistakes of others ",Neegan said to her as he saw the look on her face .

She looked like she was hurt . She was disappointed in herself .

Sometimes you just had to choose yourself and that was not something Anna was good at .

"Not everyone deserves to be saved ,sometimes you just have to watch them and let the destroy themselves ",Neegan said .

Anna had no reason feeling remorse to Suarez . It wasn't her fault that he had lied to her . It wasn't her fault that he had decided to play with the most dangerous man .

He had decided to play a game that he was going to loose and he was stupid enough that he would win .

He had been stupid to think that thing could change and there was no way that Neegan would notice there was something wrong with his sales .

"He was actually going to destroy my business if I didn't do something quick . I never used to check in with the people I supplied to .It was something that he did when he was working for me ",Neegan said as they reached a field .

It was so big Anna couldn't even see the end of it .

"So.they had this field of poppy and still worked for you ?",Anna sked him something's were not adding up .

"There family had always been in business with my family for years and so when they planted this my family bought the land . I lost it when Suarez stopped working for me ",Neegan said as he let go of Anna's hand .

"I offered him money for it but he refused and considering his father was dead I just let it go but now that he is not here am going to reclaim it ",Neegan said .

"I brought you here so you can see how we do this things . It's not as easy as it seems ,you are going to be responsible for all the supplies that we make . You'll meet with all the people and tell them that everything is okay ,its upto you to make sure that happens ",Neegan said a look of seriousness on his face now .

"I don't know any of this people ",Anna said .

"You'll always be with my most trusted men ,they will tell you what you need to know about them ,use it to your advantage. We can't loose any of them ",Neegan said .

Anna didn't know how she was going to do it but she needed to prove to him that she was worth the trouble .

She had to prove herself to Vincenzo too that she could handle the business even when he was big there .

She had learnt a thing or two from him but all 9f the things that she had learnt were the things that she was not going to do ever again .

She was excited for the challenge and didn't know how things were going to be if Vincenzo got back on his feet and was the one who was doing the things that she was now doing .

"When am I supposed to go see this clients ?",Anna asked him .

She hoped that she had time ,time to study this clients and come up with a plan that was going to help her succeed.

"In a week's time ",Neegan said .

"Okay then ,I need to go back home and check on things there before I come back you possible can't expect me to be here all this days ",Anna said chuckling .

"I expected you to be here and watch on your guys packaging everything but it's okay you can go back home ",Neegan said as they started walking back .

Anna took out her phone and all she wanted to do was book a flight back home immediately .

"There's no need for you to do that ,my plane will take you back home ",Neegan said as he saw what's he was doing on her phone .

"Okay ",Anna said as a smile was on her lips .

She was happy that she was finally going to see her husband. It had only been a day and a night but it felt like she had been a way for a week already .

She didn't know if she was going to tell him the news or she needed to wait till he recovered in order to tell him.

She hoped that he would be proud of her for handling the situation in his absence .

"You're going to make an amazing business lady someday ",Neegan said as he watched her.

"Thank you and am twenty two ",Anna said .

"Such a young age you have a whole life ahead if you ,you'll do so many great things I really hope we would be friends someday ",Neegan said and he meant it this time round .

"You almost killed my husband that is never going to happen ",Anna said as they reached the car and he opened the door for her .

"He didn't do as I said and I won't explain myself to you about that . I would have done you a favour if he died,you deserve better ",Neegan said as he kissed her hand and closed the door .

Anna didn't turn as the car drove away . She didn't want to see his face because she knew he was still standing there .

She didn't want to agree to the fact that maybe he was right in some sense .

She could t let him get into his head .
