" So to be honest, this might sound crazy, but I am willing to pay extra aside from your service fee. If you are interested." Jayden could not blame Vanessa for her exaggerated reaction, she had every right to be shocked. It is not every day an average girl would be this close to having a conversation with Jayden Ashford. She might not even believe him. Her mouth was wide open.
"Wow, it's pretty wild, almost difficult to believe. I can see why you might appear to be a trust fund baby, you could be one," Vanessa remarked, her gaze fixed on Jayden with a mix of astonishment, her mouth slightly agape. Jayden chuckled at her reaction, but quickly turned away, not wanting to offend her by laughing directly at her.
" Yeah, but I am him the CEO of JayxTech as you know. To be honest, I normally will not opt for a rental, but my girlfriend is out of town and the situation is complicated. So in summary, I am in dire need of an escort to serve in place of my girlfriend whom I have been dating for a while. You can do that right, since it was in your job description." Jayden gave Vanessa a summary of the situation, he was not desiring too much talk. The fact he was going with a stranger has already put him in a very foul mood.
Vanessa saw an opportunity to make some easy cash, so why would she turn it down? Money makes the world go round. " So, how much are we talking about."
" I know you have to go out of your way and the gala might be a little dramatic because you would be meeting my family. So to pay for any inconveniences and to make sure it is kept confidential. Five thousand dollars, that's my offer." Vanessa choked on her spit, five thousand what? Was her ears defective, but she did not show any facial reaction because her face still had a Stoic reaction.
' He must be so rich that five thousand dollars means nothing to him.' since this rich boy had enough money to waste, of course she would take advantage of it. Vanessa was poor and black-bellied, but she still dared to negotiate the price to a higher amount. " Ten thousand dollars last price. I need to put on an excellent act in front of all those distinguished guests, don't l."
" Fine, we have a deal then." Jayden readily agreed, which made Vanessa pleased. She had made such a generous amount so easily. Jayden immediately informed the driver to depart since the deal had been sealed.

The cars arrived at an exclusive boutique and beauty shop. The chauffeur opened the door of the car for two stunning figures to step out. " What are we doing here?" Vanessa asked Jayden. A middle-aged woman was already heading their way to welcome them to the building.
" Welcome Mr. Ashford, everything is ready as you requested." The middle-aged lady who was the owner of the establishment had come out herself to welcome them in. Jayden nodded in acknowledgement because he did not see the need to reply to her verbally.
" I thought you were a college student, why are you asking such a dumb question, there is no way you can attend a gala dressed like that. We need to get you ready. Although because you arrived late now, I am already behind schedule." Jayden snapped at Vanessa. He rolled him at Vanessa's dumb question.
Vanessa pouted her lips, she was displeased at Jayden for his snarky retort. She was not dumb in any way. She considered herself to be very intelligent.
The entire building did not happen to have any other customers, Jayden must have booked the entire place. Just how much money did he have from JayxTech? Vanessa pondered on the thought. Of course, she was unaware that the Jayden family was the Rossi family, who had been wealthy for centuries.
She got separated from Jayden so that they could properly attend to her. First, they started with a special spa treatment and massage, which Vanessa enjoyed every bit. She savored every second because she was fully away she would not be able to afford this luxury unless she made it big after college.
After a queen treatment at the spa, she was sent to the beauty salon to get her manicure, pedicure, make-up, and hair done. She insisted on very a brown wig because she would rather not expose her identity. Imagine if she saw someone she knew at the gala, although it was very unlikely, it is not impossible.
The hairdresser was sad, Vanessa insisted on wearing a wig because of how lovely her golden blonde was. It was full volume with a very soft texture and tangle-free. She wondered which hair products Vanessa used. Since obviously, they could not use Cynthia's old wig Vanessa was wearing, they got her another new wig which they styled perfectly.
Her make-up did not take long because of her defined facial features, everything blended in perfectly well with minimal effort and make-up product. The make-up artist could not help but keep on praising Vanessa for her looks, the artist was a popular make-up artist who even worked on movie sets, reality shows and celebrity interviews. He was popular with his work and had his studio, but the owner of this establishment was his mother who was the first person who taught him about make-up, so he could not turn her down when she requested his help. He would rather not come because he thought Vanessa would be a spoiled rich brat or a snobbish celebrity, but contrary to his thoughts she turned out to be a beautiful simple girl who was very shy and nice. She kept on blushing at his compliments, he was even tempted to ask for her contacts.
When her make-up was done, she looked absolutely gorgeous. He had seen numerous beauties but Vanessa was the rare one different from all those celebrities who had numerous plastic surgeries done to get their look, not that he had any against plastic surgery but seeing a natural beauty was refreshing. He was tempted to snatch her away was just that there was no way he could contend with her date. He was sure he would never forget her violet eyes in a long while.
After her hair, make-up and nails were done the only thing left was her outfits. Jayden had already ordered one for her, but she was not comfortable with it and wanted to be a little willful because the gown was too revealing for her. It had a long deep V cut at the back stopping at her waist. Technically, her entire flawless pear black was revealed but unfortunately, it was not her choice to make because the dress, shoes, and purse had already been hand-picked for the occasion and her make-up was done to suit it.
When she was done everything fitted perfectly, she was a bit surprised Jayden guessed her size but then again Vanessa was wrong because it was Marcus Jayden's assistant who used the little physical description from her profile along with her picture and of course with the help of an expert to guess her exact size. However, Jayden would not mind taking the praise, Marcus was working under his instructions.
Back to Vanessa, she was looking so beautiful that she could not believe her reflection. " You look stunning, Lilac." One of the staff that assisted her in dressing up gushed. She giggled because she was happy they had successfully dolled up Vanessa. At this moment, it would be hard for her acquaintances to recognize Vanessa because she was looking different from how she normally looks. Although she was pretty with her casual look, Vanessa was too lazy and frugal to spend much money on beautiful products and clothes.
Since she was all dolled up, they took her to Jayden, who had been waiting for her to finish. When Vanessa stepped in, everyone in the lobby, including Jayden's breath was taken away. They thought she was stunning when she first arrived, but right now, the only words to describe her are perfect and charming. Jayden was truly impressed with how she turned up, he had high hopes for her when he chose Vanessa. There is no way she would not fit into a room filled with immortalis who had divine looks. He was sure most of them would think she was a member of the clan.
" You look gorgeous, Lilac, the long wait was worth it." Jayden complimented Vanessa not to seem rude since she was his date. Normally, he hardly gives out compliments except if it was his family or Petra, his girlfriend, but he would make this one exception.
"Thanks." Vanessa had a gorgeous dimple smile on her face after receiving Jayden's compliment. Jayden himself was not anything below Vanessa's looks level. He was looking dashing, he had already changed into a designer's suit. He selected dark blue to match Vanessa's gown, which was royal blue. Vanessa's gown was hand-picked by him not only to match his suit but also from a renowned designer who only makes customized gowns for a few elites because the designer hand sows every Intricate detail herself, using the most expensive materials. Coincidentally, it was Alessia's favorite designer. Jayden was sure his mother would not have any complaints.
