60 Their Lunch

"Set the table." October coldly instructed Lexus who was leisurely looking intently at her for how long she can remember. His stare was almost burning a hole in her and it was starting to really annoy her to the core. She couldn't help but find something for him to avert his attention even if it's just for a moment in order for her to get a breather.

She was stiff all over as soon when she was cooking because of the way he was looking at her. October was getting anxious if the simple dishes she prepared for them will suit this young master's taste buds.

"Okay." Lexus quickly nodded and did as what he was instructed. No matter what, this was still the first time that he was setting a table for a meal. It was an experience for him. Also, having to watch someone cook something especially for you was really making him excited and happy.

Lexus was being bossed around by his wife but the man himself was not at all annoyed by it. Instead, he find it fun and refreshing. However, this was his wife. If it were other people who were giving him orders, they would be experiencing some hellish experiences that they couldn't forget about.

If Lexus' employees would see him acting like this, a man who was being docile and obedient to a woman, they would think that the sun have really risen from the west. Heck, they would really dare to believe that pigs can fly.

October was relieved when she noticed that her little plan worked. With her muscles starting to relax, she was starting to feel a little tired and hungry too.

Hurrying up on putting her cooked dishes on the table, Lexus waited patiently as he looked forward to eating the dishes on the table.

With a cold glint in his eyes, his smile deepened. He then turned to the woman who was by the counter taking off her apron and slowly went to her. He helped her take off the apron and placed it on top of the counter and pulled her gently, "Come, my wife. Let's eat."

October doesn't know why but she really felt drained. She was also sleepy. Thinking about it, it was this man's fault that she was lacking sleep. He did all those things to her for a number of times that she even fainted but was woken up by his movement. Gentle? Bah! She wanted to slap that face of his! But right now, she was too tired to get angry at him and so let herself be pulled by him who then escorted her to sit on the chair right beside his.

October smelled the food on the table and her appetite instantly opened. She still prefers her cooking. With a satisfied look on her face, she grabbed her chopsticks and was just about to reach out to pick some carrots when she was stopped by a large hand enveloping hers. Instantly, she was displeased and glared at Lexus.

"I'll serve you." Lexus said with a serious look on his face, making him more appetizing that the food on the table.

October frowned as soon as that thought crossed her mind. What is she thinking now? She's really beginning to act and think weird things. It was so unlike her at all.

"I have hands to use. Don't treat me like I'm handicapped." October's eyes frosted as she glared daggers at him. She cooked all these food for it to be eaten by her but she was stopped? Was he really trying to make her so angry?

Lexus pursed his lips and his eyes turned cold. Both were on stand still and both were battling a cold snowstorm. The kitchen was almost freezing. Neither backed down as they stared at each other. But Lexus was the first one to yield. Sighing, he said, "I already let you cook. Your hands are tired so I'll feed you."

October blankly looked at Lexus. Was he being serious, right now? "Don't pamper me so much."

"Hmph. My wife is amazing and stunning in all aspects that all the women in the world paled in comparison to you. So, as her husband, I will pamper you forever." Lexus confidently and smoothly said to October. Before, he doesn't know a single thing about women. Of course, he was also not a sweet talker. But all of those were already in the past because the him at this moment was spouting sweet words to October nonstop. It was like he had said those things a lot of times to women.

October, however, still was not resigned. She turned to him and frowned, "How can you eat properly if you are feeding me?"

"Don't worry, I'll eat properly." Lexus said as he patted her head tenderly.

October refused him almost a hundred times but Lexus was just as stubborn as her. With this, having no energy left to argue with him anymore, she let him do what he wanted to do.

After her third spoon, October frowned. Lexus, who was paying close attention to her, noticed her unusual reaction and immediately got worried, "Are you okay?"

October's frowned deepened and her face darkened. After a second she abruptly stood up and went to the sink as she started to vomit.

Lexus was left in a daze for a moment before hurriedly stepped forward to help her in the sink. He was extremely worried at this time. Truthfully, he was panicking inside and his mind were in chaos.

October rinsed her mouth and took a deep breath. After that, she turned her face only to see his worried and distressed face while looking at her. Her heart immediately felt warm. "I'm okay. This sickness is normal for pregnant women."

October's voice on the few last words of her sentence was so small, almost like a whisper. Her eyes looked away and a slight blush crept on her small face.

Although her voice were small, Lexus still caught her words. Soon, his blue eyes shown a brilliant and dazzling light and his smile gradually widened, showing his perfect white teeth.

"Yeah, okay. I'll believe you." Lexus warmly said to October as his eyes couldn't hide the joy he was feeling. His eyes then looked down on her still flat belly and unconsciously reached his hand out and placed it on her belly.

October was startled at his sudden actions. But when she realized he was touching her belly and slightly rubbing it, her heart fluttered and her green eyes couldn't help but land on his devilish face.

A small breeze passed through the slightly opened window of the kitchen. In it carried the fragrance of the dishes she cooked and was reminded that they still haven't finished eating their food.

October slightly pushed Lexus toward the table and said, "Let's eat."

Lexus paused to look at her then on the table with their half-eaten food. He nodded and escorted her again on her sit and ate.
