The air was biting with tension as both Jessy Luo and Samuel Jeusal walked up to the balcony as per Luo Mei's orders.

Jessy could already feel the sensation.

The love she once had for him was rekindling at his mere presence which bothered her to no end. She wouldn't deny that he was extremely handsome, plus he looked different than in her last three lives.

He looked a lot calmer than he had been. Samuel used to be a proud young man. A man who's action speaks louder than words itself. A man who's tongue is able to ignite raging storm in the hearts of his enemies.

But surprisingly, he looked a lot... tamed and Jessy was not sure about this sudden change.

The fact is that, no one changes so quickly or do they?

Interrupting her thoughts, his sweet melodious low baritone shook her spirits.

"Jessy Luo... I am Samuel and, it seems to me like you're uncomfortable with my presence.."

Of course who doesn't know that he was the famous Samuel Jeusal who's name was in the tongue of all. And yes, seems like he discovered too soon that he was putting discomfort in Jessy's heart.

Still Jessy lied and she hated herself for that.

"No, no... am fine!"

Her eyes trained at the balcony and the first thought that struck her mind was the day she fell of the balcony because her once treasured friend wanted her dead, but... Samuel was not like Devin so she was calm.

"Do you like coffee?" Samuel suddenly asked and Jessy blinked a thousand times in order to process what he just asked.

Of course the question she would ask was why he cared about it, but knowing as her tongue had turned bad lately, she controlled herself because now that he was tamed, she didn't want to bring out the beast in him.

"Yeah I love coffee why?"

Samuel offered a warm smile and rubbed his both palm together in friction and said:

"Maybe, a coffee... by ten O'Clock tomorrow! So we can get to know ourselves better... " He lingered for a while before adding:

"I don't think it's cool talking in your balcony, it doesn't suits my personality too well.."

Jessy was stunned and suddenly asked:

"It's a date?"

Samuel's smile immediately turned wide.

"Sure it is!"

Before he could turn, he received a phone call and that prompted him to take the call right there in his front.

Jessy didn't hear what the person said on the other end, but the minute his mood changed, she knew that it had to be bad news.

His eyes suddenly radiated a pale color of crimson showing exactly how drastic the news had turned. And the next minute after slotting his phone into his pocket, he dashed back out without looking back even once at the girl.

Jessy was confused and at the same time upset with herself for falling for his trap once again. She was getting worried for him and she didn't like that feeling.

But the next minute after she stepped down from the balcony and into the living room, the looks she got from Luo Mei sent shivers and fear jolting down her spines.

"You sent him away didn't you?"

Luo Mei questioned and Jessy's face paled.

"Me? I did nothing!"

Jessy retorted and then a slap was given to her by her aunt Verona.

"You swine, how dare you?" She hissed and Jessy's hand clutched her cheeks with shock. She was being slapped for exactly no reason at all. Plus, she was given no chance to speak for herself.

Then she was grounded and locked up in her room.
