143 Moving Out

After consoling Vanessa and convincing her that they should move by Wednesday, Sophia left the room and went in search of Alex.

She went to knock on his study door, "Alex? It's Sophia. Are you in there?"

Just as she expected, he was inside and responded, "Yeah," Alex called back, not sure if he wanted to speak with Sophia or not.

The only reason he was glad that she was back right now was that he could leave the house now since she would stay by her sister. He had stayed back at home instead of returning to the office because he didn't want to leave Vanessa at home by herself despite his annoyance.

Sophia wasn't surprised to see Alex standing by the window with his back to the door, when she slowly pushed the door open and walked into the study.

He was still dressed in the clothes. Although he had taken off the jacket and tie which he had worn earlier, and his sleeves were rolled up, he was still wearing his shoe.
